Solo Player Arvin

Chapter 150 - -64<Inside The Portal-4>

It happened very suddenly. Arvin was drinking water from the stream. It was then his instincts started to kick in. He started feeling that something terrifying was watching him. He could feel some amount of heavy blood lust in the air. And before he knew the thing attacked.

Thanks to his instincts, Arvin was able to evade the attack by jumping sideways. And as he jumped sideways, a very loud banging noise came from the place where previously he was previously drinking water from…

BAAM

From the sound of that bang as well as from the vibration of the earth, Arvin understood he was not dealing with an overgrown panther over here. It was something big. And as Arvin understood that he didn't think about anything else, he just started running from there.

As Arvin started running he didn't forget to look back to see what he was dealing with. And the thing that he saw was very terrifying. The dust particles were making a camouflage around the area where Arvin was drinking water. So he was not able to see the face of the being that attacked him. But he sure able to see the tail of the being. And from the looks of it, the tail belonged to that of a snake.

The sheer grith of the stomach of the snake was enough for Arvin to understand what kind of snake he was dealing with. The girth of the stomach was enough to fit two big sumo wrestlers in them with ease. And that was the clear indication of the size of that behemoth of a snake.

So Arvin just started running again, but soon his instincts kicked in again, and once he jumped toward his side. And as he did, the face of the snake got slammed at the tree that was just in front of Arvin. This time Arvin was able to dodge the attack barely. It was a very close call, while on the other hand, that snake didn't look faze as he slammed into a tree just a few moments ago.

As the snake noticed that his prey was getting away, so it started slithering its way towards Arvin with full speed. While running Arvin started making some plans about what he should do about the giant snake that was pursuing him relentlessly. If it had been any other animal then all that he had to do was run from that animal's territory. Then the animal would not pursue him after that. But the snakes were the kind of predators that do not have territory.

So while running, Arvin started thinking about what he could do about the snake now? While coming to the Doja city, Arvin had made some poisonous mana bombs. He thought that he should carry them if something happens. But the thing was that Arvin needed mana stones for his cultivation. So he could not turn all of his mana stones into poisonous mana stone bombs. So in the end he only made 3 poisonous mana stone bombs.

As he only had a few poisonous mana stone bombs, he had to use them very carefully. If he uses a bomb on this snake then he would have only two bombs left. And who knows what kind of monstrosity he would encounter in the future. Maybe he would encounter something far worse than this snake. So he had to be careful, about using the mana bombs. He had to use them when it is absolutely important…

Arvin tried to maneuver his way through canopies of the tree. As he was maneuvering his way through the tree, the snake didn't back down. He was still following Arvin like a mad man. Arvin then thought that maybe this snake is fucking hungry. That is why he was pursuing Arvin so relentlessly. It was then he had an idea. If all what snake want is food, then he could easily get some amount of food for him. Arvin then maneuvered its way and started running towards the place where panthers and those weird dogs were fighting.

It took some time but Arvin soon arrived at the place where those guys were fighting before. As Arvin got there he saw that the dogs were now dead. One of the panthers were injured while the other one was standing over a dog's body and was eating it. As the panthers saw that Arvin coming towards them while running at full speed they started growling and both of them lunged towards Arvin.

They started running towards Arvin, while Arvin was running towards them. As they both got close to Arvin, they both jumped on him together. But as they did, the Arvin that they jumped on vanished in thin air, and then they landed on the ground. Both the pathers looked confused about what had happened. But as they were standing there confused they were both attacked by a vicious 500-ton monster that just arrived at the scene…

Arvin made three clones and they split in different directions. The snake that was behind him saw and that when he started following the illusion at the left. As Arvin saw that his plan worked, he just made his illusion run towards the panthers. And then the rest was history.

…

As Arvin finally was able to outrun that damned snake, he started running towards his original goal again. It was a good thing that he was able to access his inventory. Or otherwise, he would have been lost in the jungle without it as the inventory had his compass. So while he was running, Arvin was suddenly attacked by a projectile. As that projectile was thrown without any killing intent or magic, he was not able to feel it. So that projectile hit Arvin on the back of his head and then he fell down.

Arvin got as soon as he could. He then checked the object that had hit him. He looked at the object and saw that this object looked like a kind of fruit. Arvin didn't recognize the fruit nor he had seen that kind of fruit before. But the thing was that this fruit was the size of a coconut. And it was huge. Arvin looked around to see where this fruit came from. But he couldn't found anything.

Arvin tried to sense that there was non one around him at the moment. Which got him confused about who threw the fruit. But before Arvin could think any further, another fruit hit straight on his shoulder. This time he was able to see the general direction of the place where this fruit came from. But as he looked towards the direction and saw that there was no one in the direction. But it was then Arvin noticed that in that direction behind a tree he could see a white color tail coming from behind the tree.

Arvin understood that the culprit that he had been looking for was hiding behind the tree. He thought that rather than wasting his time on the culprit he would rather run towards his destination. So he ignored the whitetail and started running again. But this time he made sure that his guard was up for attacks such as this…

And sure enough, just 100 m from his position Arvin was attacked by the fruit once again. This time he was ready so he dodged the attack. At first, it was one or two fruit at a time. But as Arvin ventured on and on without taking a single hit, the amount of fruit that was attacking him started to increase. But it was still manageable.

Arvin did not attack the beings that were throwing fruits at him. And that was because he waiting for the right moment to attack them. From the way this thing concealed them, it was very hard to find them. So in case, he misses his shot or something unexpected happens then these beings would go into hiding and thus Arvin would not be able to have his revenge.

So Arvin waited for the right moment. And sure enough, he was right to wait for the moment. As the fruits were not hitting him, the beings started following him and started throwing more and more and fruits at him. But Arvin was able to dodge them. Thus they started getting anxious and sure enough, they started letting their guard down. Arvin was then finally able to feel three small mana signatures that were following him.

Arvin then made about 50 illusions of himself. And those illusions started getting scattered all over the place…

The beings that were throwing fruits at Arvin were the type of monkeys that had a resemblance to a white baboon. As these monkeys saw those illusions they got scared. But when they saw that the illusions would vanish when they would hit them, they started getting excited. They started targetting all of their targets. But in that situation, they let their guard completely down.  And that allowed Arvin to sneak up to those little monkeys. And as he did, he butchered them one by one.

All three of the monkeys were so busy dealing with Arvin's illusion that they didn't notice that their comrade was no longer alive. And soon came the turn of the last and final monkey. As Arvin was sneaking up to him, that monkey noticed that something was amiss there. That monkey tried to feel his comrades and sensed that they were no longer alive. This freaked the monkey out and he started to make to scream…

OO…AA…OO…AA…OOA….Ooooaaa….OOAA…OOAaa

But by then it was too late. Arvin had already arrived by the monkey.  And then he stabbed the monkey from behind and thus he killed the monkey for once and all…

As there were no more obstacles now, Arvin started running again.  For some amount of time, Arvin didn't meet any more obstacles. Everything was going just fine. It was then Arvin encountered something. As he was running, he sensed that a large group of mana signatures was converging towards him. There were around 50 of those beings and they were coming his way.

Arvin wanted to avoid confrontation at any cost. So he changed his direction. This way he would be able to avoid confrontation with those beings. He would waste some time in changing direction and all, but it would be worth it if he can get out of this situation scot-free. So he changed his general direction. He went towards his left and made some distance between him and those beings. And then he started running towards his destination once again.

But lady luck was not in the mood to show any mercy to him that day…
