Six Months Contract With The Mafia God

Chapter 219: Isabella Is Not As Harmless As She Seems

Dante leaned back in the seat. His father had a way of putting him in impossible positions, missions that tested not just his loyalty but his judgment. His ability to navigate the dangerous spaces between families, between organizations, between survival and extinction.

The question was whether Dante wanted to play that game anymore.

"When does he expect me at the facility?" Dante asked.

"Week after next," Luca said. "He’s giving you time to prepare, to understand their operation, to make an informed assessment."

"And what if my assessment is that The Covenant is too dangerous?" Dante asked.

"Then you report that," Luca said. "And your father makes a decision based on your intelligence."

But they both knew that wasn’t entirely true. His father would make a decision based on what served his interests. Dante’s assessment would matter only insofar as it aligned with his father’s strategic vision.

It was the way things had always worked in their world.

"What else?" Dante asked, seeing the hesitation in Luca’s expression.

"There’s been movement from Dimitri’s organization," Luca said carefully. "Unusual activity. Marco mobilizing teams, intelligence gathering accelerating, communications increasing. Something’s happening there."

Dante felt something shift in his chest. "What kind of activity?"

"Unknown," Luca admitted. "But it’s coordinated. It’s strategic. It’s not business-as-usual for Valentino operations."

"And you think it relates to The Covenant," Dante said.

"I think it’s possible," Luca said. "Which makes your father’s request even more significant. He wants you inside The Covenant facility to see if Dimitri is already involved. To see if the Valentinos are making moves that might affect family interests."

Dante stood and moved to the window. He could see Isabella’s building from here, the upscale apartment complex where she lived, where she spent her nights with different men, different scenarios, always searching for something she could never quite find.

He’d been one of those men for three months now. A regular fixture in her bed, fucking her with a possession that bordered on violence, knowing the entire time that she was fantasizing about someone else.

It should have bothered him more than it did.

"Set the meeting with my father for tomorrow at eight," Dante said. "And Luca, keep monitoring Dimitri’s movements. I want to know everywhere he goes, everyone he meets with, every decision he makes."

"You think he’s a threat?" Luca asked.

"I think he’s always a threat," Dante said. "I just don’t know to whom yet."

Luca nodded and began gathering his materials. As his second-in-command moved to exit the car, Dante stopped him with a gesture.

"One more thing," Dante said. "When The Covenant contact comes through, when they actually reach out with the facility visit details....I want to know immediately. No delays, bring It straight to me."

"Understood," Luca said. He paused at the car door. "Be careful with her, boss. Isabella’s not as harmless as she seems."

"I know what Isabella is," Dante said quietly. ℴ

Luca nodded and left the car.

Dante sat alone for a moment, letting the weight of what was coming settle over him. His father wanted him to keep up with the alliance with The Covenant. Dimitri was apparently mobilizing for something. And Isabella was somewhere between a tool and a liability.

The game was shifting. The board was being reset.

And Dante had to decide which side he was actually playing for.

He looked out at the building again, at the window of Isabella’s apartment where light glowed softly behind blackout curtains. He could see her silhouette moving behind the glass.

She was waiting for him. She was always waiting for him these days, even when he wasn’t there, she was waiting for him to arrive, to claim her, to use her body as a substitute for the man she actually wanted.

Dante got out of the car and started walking toward the building.

POV: ISABELLA

Isabella heard the buzzer and her entire body went tight.

She knew who it was. Knew before he even spoke through the intercom.

Some part of her had been waiting for this sound all day. Had been listening for it beneath the fear and the relief.

"Let me up," his voice came through, and it wasn’t a request.

Isabella buzzed him in without responding.

She looked down at herself, she’d changed three times since he told her he would come today. Black dress now. Thin silk. No bra underneath. Easy access to everything.

She hated how practiced she’d become at this.

Hated how quickly her hands moved to check her appearance in the mirror. How her fingers came up to adjust her hair. How her breath quickened at the sound of the elevator doors opening down the hall.

He knocked twice.

Isabella opened the door and found him there....tall, dark-haired, dangerous in a way that made her pussy clench immediately.

"Hi," she said, trying for casual, failing completely.

He didn’t say anything. Just pushed her inside, closed the door, and started unbuttoning his shirt before they’d even moved away from the entryway.

Isabella watched his chest reveal itself....broad, muscled, unmarked by the violence his body clearly contained.

"Bedroom," he said, not looking at her.

She turned and walked, feeling him follow. Feeling his gaze on her body like a physical touch.

By the time they reached the bedroom, Isabella was already wet.

POV: DANTE

Dante watched Isabella move ahead of him, the sway of her hips, the way her dress clung to her curves, the desperate eagerness in every movement.

Three weeks of conditioning and she was completely pliant.

Completely ready to accept whatever he gave her.

She turned to face him when they reached the bed, and he saw the moment she registered that he was already completely undressed.

Saw her eyes widen at the sight of him, fourteen inches, thick, the kind of size that made women both desperate and afraid.

Dante climbed onto the bed and grabbed her wrist, pulling her toward him without any preamble.

"Turn around," he commanded.

Isabella obeyed immediately, her breathing already rapid.

He positioned her on her hands and knees, lifted her dress up her back, and saw that she wasn’t wearing panties.

Already prepared. Already waiting. Already his.

Dante ran his hand down the curve of her spine, felt her tremble beneath his touch, positioned himself at her entrance.

"Don’t move," he said.

Then he slammed inside her.
