Chapter 745: Chapter 745: An Anomaly (Part 3)

Point-of-View: Leto Nex/Reaper, The Undead King

———————————————————————————

"Haha...hahaha...HAHAHAHA!!! Serves you right, you piece of shit, now you’ll be my fucking slave for the rest of you-...aghh!" I cackled, before I was cut off as he suddenly split my head in half.

Huh?

"Hm? I do not understand. Why did you make such a triumphant declaration?" He responded, sounding confused.

W-Wait, what the hell...? Why...why didn’t my Death Scythe work?! He’s only got Super Regeneration, not Immortality, and the Touch of Death effect overrides Status Effect Immunity! So, how?!

"You should be dead!" I yelled as my head closed back up.

"I believe that is my line. Hm, what must I do to end you?" He wondered, before stabbing me through the heart and giving the blade a sharp twist.

"B-Bastard...!" I snarled, as he sprang back as the Dune Scorpion rushed this way and whipped its stinger at him.

I scrambled back onto my feet as the Dune Scorpion fired out a barrage of sand blasts to keep the creature at bay, as he weaved through the air to evade the blasts with ease.

I clenched my fists in anger and frustration as I glanced around at the other, formerly undead, Catastrophe Level Threats, a surge of rage welling up and erupting inside me.

N-No...no, no, no, NO, NO, NO, FUCKING NO!!!

Damn it, I’ve lost three of my four Catastrophe Levels, which I could’ve lived with if it meant getting him in my ranks as a tradeoff! But for whatever fucking reason, my Death Scythe doesn’t work on him, which means I can’t kill him!

Even the strongest among my forces are helpless against him, and he’s faster than I can keep up with. I’ll only lose more of my forces if I keep fighting him, and even though he can’t kill me, I’m not particularly keen on letting him slice me apart over and over.

Fuck, damn if, I don’t have a choice! I...I have to cut my losses and get the fuck out of here!

"You’ll pay for this, damn it...once I kill the X-Aces and get them under my control, you’re next! This isn’t over, goddammit! <Summon Undead: Slot 0005 to Slot 0058>!" I snapped, summoning over fifty undead Low and Mid Level Threats.

As they swarmed him, I withdrew my Dune Scorpion and summoned my Teleporter again, who grabbed my shoulder right as a massive, horizontal slashing wave of black energy came shooting towards me with immense speed.

Right as the slash closed in on me, my surroundings changed, as the Teleporter warped me back in the direction I came from. Damn it, this has definitely set me back, I’m going to need to replenish my forces before-...huh?

My eyes widened as my upper body suddenly slid off around the middle of my torso and hit the ground, another thud echoing out next to me, the Teleporter’s upper body laying next to me.

Y-You...you’ve gotta be fucking kidding me, damn it!

As I regenerated from the bigger half of my body, growing a new head, I kicked the Teleporter’s limp body in frustration, his Core split in half. You useless piece of shit, if you’d teleported me just a fraction of a second faster, this wouldn’t have-...!

I gritted my teeth and shook my head as I composed myself, taking a deep breath and letting out a slow, strained exhale. It’s fine...it’s fine, damn it, one setback isn’t going to stop me, I won’t let it!

I then summoned an undead Blade Hawk, a High Level creature. It’s a large hawk with sharp edges across its wings, capable of hardening and firing its feathers, along with razor-sharp talons.

I hopped onto its back and had it fly me the rest of the way, as I glanced back with a grimace...the more than fifty undead creatures I summoned have all been cut down already, I should keep moving and get as far away as I possibly can from that thing.

Seriously, though, the fuck was that damned creature, anyway? How the hell is it so powerful? Are there others like it?

Damn it, this is the fucking worst. For now, my best option is to just leave that thing be and focus on my main goal of taking over the world. First, I’m going to need to recoup my losses and get more Mutants in my ranks, particularly replacements for the Catastrophe Level Threats I lost.

After that, I just need to get my plan back on track, attack a Sanctuary, draw out the X-Aces, kill them and add them to my undead forces, and then have the rest of the world submit to me.

Once that’s done, I’ll get my revenge on that irregularity or whatever the fuck it called itself. If I attack it with all the X-Aces and an army of Catastrophe Level Mutants, even something that powerful won’t be able to survive.

I’d originally planned to make my move in a few days or so, but I’m going to need to push my plans back at least a few days, maybe around a couple of weeks at most.

The loss of my undead Teleporter is a seriously big blow, one that won’t be as easy to replace as the Mutants. Maybe I could try luring a party of Hunters?

No, Teleporters are fairly rare, the chances of one being in a random party is low. And there’s a possibility that they might catch on that I’m luring them into a trap, which could result in the X-Aces being deployed.

Without a Teleporter, I don’t have a reliable option to retreat if I need to. Hm...Teleporters are bound to be in action when I attack a Sanctuary, they’ll likely be tasked with evacuating civilians. Which will give me an opportunity to kill one of them and turn them undead.

Yeah, alright, then...for now, I’ll focus on bolstering my forces. Even with my victory assured, I’d like to give myself the best chance and make it as easy as possible. Not to get too far ahead of myself, but...I can hardly wait to see it all play out...
