Chapter 988: Two Different People

The declaration of the Immortal Sun Emperor, Shen Jueyang, had caught the two princes of the Everlasting Moon Empire. The Crown Prince, Yue Leiya didn’t expect the man in front of them to confess that he never liked the Moon Goddess of his previous life but is in love with the current reincarnation of the former Moon Empress. As expected, the first one to react badly was the Second Moon Prince, Yue Wuya.

He said, "What kind of bullshit are you talking about!? How can you say Xuehua and Xuexia are two different people? If you are going to make excuses then there is no need to say such lies!"

"I am not lying," said Shen Jueyang. "If you don’t believe me you can ask Uncle."

The two moon princes observed the Immortal Sun Emperor’s face trying to find something that may expose him for this lie. Unfortunately, his face didn’t even change once and remained serious the moment he had said these words that involved Yue Xuexia. Yue Leiya and Yue Wuya couldn’t help but turn their heads to look at their father. Who doesn’t seem surprised with what the Immortal Sun Emperor had just said.

The Crown Prince, Yue Leiya, asked, "Father, is he... telling the truth? Hua’er and Xue’er are two different people?"

"How is that possible!? Isn’t it reincarnation? Moreover, she had died... how... How is she still alive? If so... why doesn’t she go home?" The second moon prince, Yue Wuya asked.

"Of course, those two treat each other like sisters. The Cloning Technique she is training was also something Xue’er had given to her," said Shen Jueyang. "If you wish to speak with Yue Xuehua, you can ask Xue’er she will definitely not ignore your request."

The Everlasting Moon Emperor, Yue Yuya said to his two useless sons. "You two little bastards. You haven’t gotten close to your younger sister, Xue’er, yet and are already this indecisive. How useless! Go away and prepare your gifts for your younger sister properly!"

These words are clearly their father asking the two of them to leave. Yue Leiya immediately understood what their father meant. On the other hand, the second prince thought that their father was truly angry that he didn’t prepare a proper meeting gift for Yue Xuexia. The Crown Prince dragged away his youngest brother after getting the hidden meaning of Yue Yuya’s words. Clearly, their father wanted to have a private conversation with the Immortal Sun Emperor.

After saying these words, the Crown Prince Yue Leiya had dragged away his stunned second brother. "In the Regal Lei’s Clan’s treasure land, one of her flower spirit children had died," Shen Jueyang said.

Papa Yue knew that her daughter was raising Lotus Flower Spirits that gained sentience and treated them as her children. Normally, people would call this a hobby but it’s completely different when it comes to his daughter, Yue Xuexia. To others these flower spirits are simply no different than pets, if they found a good owner they might get treated as a little princess but they are still a pet. On the other hand, for the Moon Goddess, she treated those lotus flower spirits as her family. Being part of Yue Xuexia’s family means that they received her love wholeheartedly as this is the only expression of love in her eyes. Because of this, the Moon Goddess never tolerates people bullying her family.

If the Lotus Flower Children of hers were indeed killed she would have gone crazy and something along the way might have happened which greatly affected her soul and caused her already little emotions to fade as well. Of course, only those who were truly close to the Moon Goddess can notice this change. The Yue Family is her family, why wouldn’t they notice the strangeness of their daughter’s fluctuating emotions.

The Everlasting Moon Emperor, Yue Yuya was startled. "What did you say?!" This reaction meant he had somehow guessed what happened after something like his daughter’s flower spirit dying.
