SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS
Chapter 1123 - 1119: A MOTHER’S COMPROMISE
Chang-Su understood what his wife was worried about and for a moment, he was also worried about that. Although he didn’t do any full-blown investigation on Diamond, what he had heard was enough to make him understand that she was not an ordinary person.
The fact that she could spot a curse that powerful shamans and spiritual people failed to notice was such a pointer. The fact that she could donate millions without batting an eye was also another pointer.
The fact that for the sake of making fans happy, she could come all the way to Gesalsi, record songs and play for a while. That showed a lot.
She was definitely not an ordinary person at all. she wasn’t to be taken lightly. However, there was something else that she understands about people like that. He was reminded by people of his caliber.
"Honey, I do understand your worries, but listen to me for a bit. Maybe you will calm down and see it from my point of view or perhaps both Young-Jae and Diamond."
When Madam Lim heard that, she calmed herself down for a moment before looking at her husband to listen to what he wanted to say.
Seeing that she was focusing, Chang-Su began to dissect the matter using his own point of view.
"When you look at Diamond, does she look like someone who likes to jokes around and play with people’s emotions?"
Madam Lim suddenly recalled how in one of the videos Diamond was shown talking about how she was cheated on by her ex and didn’t hesitate to end things. Not only that but when she confirmed her relationship with that ex-boyfriend, she shared about it to her fans. Some even asked if she wasn’t worried about losing fans but she told them that she would rather be honest about it and live with her life.
If she is dating, she would share and if she ended the relationship, she will also share.
And with how she shared about her past, something that most people would hide, since it wasn’t exactly commendable. She honestly didn’t seem like someone who would joke about things.
She quickly shook her head and Chang-Su continued.
"When you first met her, were you not also the one who told me that we should maintain a relationship with her?"
She nodded her head, agreeing to that but she didn’t mean that her son should be romantically involved and become a number three.
"Besides, wasn’t she honest to our son about her lifestyle?"
She was.
"What did our son do?"
She was silent as that was asked.
Their beloved son reacted fiercely and even kissed Diamond. What did that show?
She couldn’t help but sigh as she thought about that.
"Fate works in mysterious ways. From the moment she agreed to save our son, she already her sight on him and it was unavoidable. I don’t think that she charmed him using mystical means. Our son is stubborn and once he set his mind on something, he is always dead set on doing it.
Besides, I found his feelings quite normal. Imagine if someone were to rescue you like that, wouldn’t you develop some feelings for the latter? Not even a guy, but don’t most ladies fall for their saviors? I found his feelings quite normal."
"I do get it. I just don’t want him to suffer. This is not a simple relationship. I also don’t think that there is a way that Diamond can agree to come and stay here for good. She would definitely want to stay in her country. How many times can they see each other in a year? Are their relationship going to even last at all?"
"Rather than worrying about that. Let the two people involved deal with the matters themselves. They are adults and capable of thinking. Since they started this, they should know how to deal with it. As parents, we should just support them and let them live happily.
Who knows? The relationship despite its dynamics might actually last. We can’t afford to offend either right now."
Hearing her husband, Madam Lim could only sigh knowing that her husband was speaking the truth.
Was she supposed to tell her son that he shouldn’t see Diamond anymore?
Knowing Young-Jae, that cunning son of hers would truly cause a fit. As for saying that to Diamond, even as a mother, she was truly fearful of what she was capable of doing lest she was angered.
Moreover, carrying the blame of separating a pair of lovers despite her reasons, she didn’t want to go into her grave having any regrets.
She wasn’t sure if the relationship will work. If it works, then it works and if it doesn’t, just consider this as a lesson to Young-Jae.
Chang-Su, seeing his wife’s expression softening, he knew that she had compromised though she hasn’t fully given in.
The children were all grownups and it was good to let them experience life themselves. As long as they don’t fall into any harm, he was willing to turn a blind eye. Moreover, he couldn’t help but recall what that shaman he met recently told him.
"You shall meet a mysterious benefactor. As long as you maintain a relationship with that benefactor, your family will forever be shrouded in good luck and blessings. Don’t interfere and let nature takes it course. One day you will be rejoicing."
This was what happened just a day before Diamond came to see their son. At that time, he didn’t even connected Diamond to that benefactor. After all, that same shaman failed to help his son. Fortunately, as a shaman he used to consult for other matters, his trust levels were still existing though at that particular moment, he couldn’t help but not take it seriously.
He was still holding a grudge. It was only when his wife recounted what happened between their son and Diamond that he finally recalled those words.
What if the benefactor was none other than Diamond?
He didn’t want to mess with the family’s fate as well as son’s happiness.
He was the last of them, after all.
