In the end, there wasn’t a single argument that came from them over the things that I proposed.

Rather, it was as if they were too afraid to say anything.

They were afraid that they would be my next target.

Not that I would actually do something like that since there was no reason for me to do so.

In the end, we still had to work together as the racial alliance since there was a bigger enemy that we all had to face as one. So even if there was a part of me that wanted to put them in their place, it wasn’t as if I would actually act on that.

When the meeting was over, most of the representatives looked like they had been spared the executioner’s block.

Even the representatives from the sects looked disturbed by what had happened, though they did try their best to hide how they felt about all of this. It was just that it really was hard for them to hide what they were feeling.

After the meeting was over, I said to the relic, "I’m sorry for putting you through that."

There wasn’t a response that came from the relic, but there was this sensation that came from it. In a way, this sensation could be considered the response that came from the relic.

It was an ability that I had discovered after my divine energy became stronger.

Though there was a part of me that wasn’t certain if this was because the vessels for these relics had been created by me that I was able to connect with them like this.

This relic was one of the ones that I had created the basic vessel for before it was imbued with the power of a god. So it could be said that I was the partial creator of this relic.

It was through this connection that I had been able to convince this relic to accept that person in the first place. Otherwise, they never would have formed that connection and none of this would have happened.

The relics did consider the talent and natural affinity of the ones that they connected with, but that wasn’t all that was considered. Naturally the personality of the one that they were testing was also considered.

So this relic had wanted to reject that person in the first place.

It was only because of my intervention that I was able to convince them to accept them, just so I could create this scenario.

Of course, it meant that the relic would have to suffer at the hands of that person for a bit until everything was settled. But that was the price that had to be paid since this was necessary.

In the first place, it wasn’t as if that person would actually abuse the relic itself since he knew that the relic was the only thing that he could rely on to raise his status. Which was why he was so desperate to cling onto the relic in the end.

But right after he obtained the relic, he had already started displaying his terrible personality.

He didn’t hold back at all in using his status to obtain things that he normally wouldn’t have obtained. He even tried to force women to come with him with his status as a relic user.

Though he did have some restraint since he knew that he would be the one that suffered if he pushed things too far.

Which was why I had been planning on letting him go for a bit since he would be useful later.

But in the end, he was the one that pushed things by trying to kidnap a woman and force himself onto her. Once that happened, there was no way that we could have let him continue the way that he was going about.

So in the end, this was how it ended up.

It was also why it was so easy to strip him of his right to use the divine energy relic.

If it wasn’t for the fact that I had interfered, he never would have had that right in the first place.

So it was just taking back what didn’t belong to him.

But this did cause quite a stir among the racial alliance, which was all that was needed.

However, it also created a misunderstanding that was quite awkward for me to explain.

"Can you control it?"

Seeing the way that the prime minister and chancellor looked at me as they asked this, I knew that there was something that they had misunderstood. It seemed like they thought that I had some kind of ability that I didn’t actually possess.

It would be bad if they were to start planning things with this in mind, so I had to explain that I actually didn’t have any of these abilities.

The looks on the faces of the prime minister and the chancellor looked like they didn’t believe me at all. It really seemed like they were already coming up with plans for when this ability was needed.

But there was something else that the prime minister was interested in that did catch me off guard in the end.

"Even if you can’t control them, can you still use them?"

This wasn’t something that I was certain of, but I could understand where he was coming from. After all, using these relics would certainly be helpful if there was ever a need for them.

I had plenty of divine energy and if I channeled them into these relics, then it would be adding even more firepower.

At the same time, I was the one that had created the vessels for these relics so there was some kind of connection that was already formed with me. With this connection, I should be able to use the power of these relics.

The more that I thought about it, the more likely it seemed.

But in the end, I still said, "Let’s test it out."
