She Lives without Regret in This Life
Chapter 1890 - 36: Someone Has My Back
"Young Chairman, what brings you here?" A familiar voice cut through the crowd, standing in front of the two of them. Gu Yuehong gave a sweet smile, looking warmly at him, who remained indifferent.
"Oh? Is that Yunbo?" Gu Yuehong said with a smile, "Yunbo, are you here to attend classes at our school too? I was just telling my brother yesterday to have you come for extra lessons!"
"Heh heh..." Could she just ignore Gu Yuehong?
Gu Yunbo thought this to herself, but someone had already done so. From start to finish, Meng Fan’s eyebrows didn’t move a bit, and his handsome, jade-like face remained indifferent. As he walked past Gu Yuehong, the crowd automatically parted to make way for him as he headed toward the office.
Gu Yuehong, feeling slighted, had a cold smile tug at the corner of her mouth and directly blocked Gu Yunbo’s path.
"How come you’re with the Young Chairman?" she asked coldly, unable to maintain her smile.
Gu Yunbo smiled, affectionately saying, "Yuehong, we’re going to be classmates soon. Aren’t you happy?"
Gu Yuehong gritted her teeth, her heart filled with hatred, but she still had to maintain a polite smile. The image she had carefully crafted over time couldn’t be ruined by Gu Yunbo.
"Of course. I’ve always known we had a connection. By the way, my brother and you share quite a fate, too." As she said the last part, she couldn’t help but lift the corner of her mouth smugly. She had thought that after yesterday’s incident, Gu Yunbo would have to grovel like a street rat, begging her for help. Who would’ve thought she’d cling to an even higher branch overnight.
With Meng Fan backing her, indeed, no one dared to touch her.
"Gu Sinian? The name sounds unfamiliar. I’ve never heard of him." She tilted her head, thought for a while, and helplessly shrugged.
Gu Yuehong nearly exploded with anger, finding it hard to catch her breath. How dare she claim she didn’t know her brother, it was like asking for death.
Now, she couldn’t help but look forward to it. Crossing her brother would surely lead to a miserable end.
Up ahead, Meng Fan had already walked more than ten meters away, and Gu Yunbo hadn’t caught up yet. He stopped and impatiently urged, "Are you coming?" His voice was cold, pleasant, and authoritative.
"Coming!" Gu Yunbo waved to everyone, "See you next time, classmates!"
The onlookers looked at her incredulously, and then at Gu Yuehong’s twisted face, beginning to pity this classmate. Berating Yuehong would indeed lead to a miserable time.
Familiar with the path, Meng Fan arrived at the principal’s office. Inside, three desks were placed, and an elderly man with graying hair stood up in surprise when he saw him enter.
"Meng Fan, what brings you here?"
"Teacher Guo, I’ve brought a friend and would like your help." He greeted respectfully and indicated Gu Yunbo behind him, "Could you assess her to see if she can attend our school for review?"
"For next year?" The elderly man immediately looked overjoyed, his entire body trembling, "Has news really come out?"
Meng Fan didn’t respond verbally but nodded slightly, which was enough to make the elderly man happy. They had heard vague rumors, but due to their lower status, it was difficult to confirm.
Now that Meng Fan brought a friend, it had to be affirmative.
"Don’t worry, leave it to me!"
"Hello, teacher," Gu Yunbo greeted proactively.
"Then I’ll leave her to you. I’ll handle the follow-up." When Meng Fan finished, he nodded to Gu Yunbo and left directly.
She wanted to chase after him, but the elderly man stopped her, "Hey! Little girl, don’t go. Meng Fan is busy, he doesn’t have time to wait here."
