Shadow Clone Sorcery

Announcement: The Future of Shadow Clone Sorcery

  • Next Chapter

I finished writing and posting(on Patreon) book 3 of Shadow Clone toward the end of August. It was a hell of a ride, and I've loved every second of it. September went into figuring out where to take the series. It feels like we've reached the end of the Cult of Rakan storyline. We also have a new enemy (no spoilers) that could last for multiple books. But with increasing clone numbers and power levels, it's challenging to figure out Lukas's path and forever changing modus operandi. After a lot of thought and brainstorming, I think I've figured it out. I'm going to start writing book 4 next week, and I'm excited about this new plan. Hope it will be as interesting to you readers as it is for me to write. Patreon will get two chapters a week, maybe eventually three once I get the ball rolling.

In the meantime, I've been working on something new. The past 18 months have been kind of hell. End of a 10-year relationship, divorce, child arrangement drama. Writing and friends have kept me sane. Shadow Clone has reflected pretty much what's going on in my life, and certain patrons have highlighted it, especially when it comes to the romantic elements of the story.

After much thought, I decided to work on a new project. It's my first new story since the end of my old life. I didn't want the tough times of the past year to taint it. Life is finally going well, and I'm approaching the project with fresh eyes. The setting might be a bit dark, but I'm going for a more positive story with a positive protagonist, rising out of a harsh life and making more of himself in a way that changes the world for good.

If you want a unique-ish magic system, some base and community building, and a protagonist with a sort of weird powerset, you might like The Infinite Law. The first 10 chapters (100 pages) are almost up. More rapid-fire chapters are on the way.

If you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.

Sam is sick of just surviving. Something in the Abyss is beckoning him. It whispers in his ear, filling his head with voices, and an invisible force tugs on his heart. Sam's ability to resist is crumbling rapidly. He needs power, and the means to defend himself before he stumbles upon it, or the Abyss dweller finds him.

A Scavenger's life is far from pleasant and comes with ever-increasing risks, but it's the only path to power. His fortunes change when a terrifying job leading to the Abyss's depths falls into his lap. Sam gets the chance not only to become more than a terrified mortal but also to find purpose beyond survival. Unfortunately, it involves entangling with the very creatures that killed his loved ones and almost tore his arm off. The chances of not making it home are high, but the promise of awakening is too good to resist.
