Chapter 185 Abyssal Clan (3)

The four of them knew, of course, that they couldn’t go on like this. But the Mist didn’t just block their Perception; it also made them lose all sense of space. They charged about in every direction, yet they only ever seemed to be trapped within a fixed area.

The omnipresent Black Energy continuously seeped into them. Once their own Energy reserves were depleted, they would be fish on a chopping block, left to be slaughtered at will!

The three Body Masters unleashed the full might of their internal Energy, the streams of light radiating from them growing even more dazzling until the Mist itself shimmered with a myriad of colors. Luo Kai also sped up his heartbeat, accelerating his Qi and Blood Circulation. His body gradually expanded, transforming him into a four-meter-tall giant.

The vertical eye on Su Chengbo’s forehead, which had always been closed, opened for the first time. Streaks of white light shot out from it, weaving a white cocoon of light around him. It grew brighter and brighter, like a miniature sun. His expression was utterly indifferent, and his other two eyes became just like the vertical one, devoid of any human emotion. His body, shrouded in white light, looked like a divine scion descending upon the Mortal World!

The scorching rays of light dispelled the cold, sinister Dark Energy and pierced through the Mist. The indistinct figures of several Abyss Clan People appeared. Their translucent bodies twisted constantly under the light, as if they couldn’t bear its illumination. Their pairs of crimson eyes were filled with terror.

"Holy shit, Old Su, you broke through!" Tuoba Ye exclaimed in shock.

Xi Jinghui’s face was also filled with envy and jealousy. The Body Master realm naturally had initial, intermediate, and advanced stages. Crossing into a new stage brought an earth-shattering change in strength. Both he and Tuoba Ye were at the initial stage, while Su Chengbo had clearly advanced to the intermediate stage, or perhaps even higher.

Su Chengbo’s knowledge was profound, bordering on that of a Celestial Being; he had studied the mysteries of Light Energy to their very limit. In ancient China, there was a saying about "Outer Cultivation for tendons, bones, and skin; Inner Cultivation for a breath of qi." This "qi" could also be called Energy. Body Masters not only had to guide external "qi," but also refine the "qi" within their bodies. Upon reaching a certain stage, they no longer overly relied on external Energy. Their bodies could generate a ceaseless supply of Energy, much like a small-scale nuclear fusion reactor. When you become a sun yourself, you no longer need an external one.

"This Mist is being controlled by those Abyss Clan People. Kill them, quickly!" Su Chengbo’s icy voice rang out.

"Alright, I’ll fucking skin them alive!" Tuoba Ye cursed, his entire body flashing with a blinding golden light as he charged toward the Abyss Clan People. Xi Jinghui and Luo Kai shot out after him like lightning.

The indistinct figures immediately scattered and fled. Most of them were only equivalent to human Martial Artists, making them no match for Body Masters.

Luo Kai continuously flexed his muscles. His bones crackled and popped, and every muscle rippled like a wave. The frequency of the undulations gradually increased, channeling all the Power in his body into his arm along with the vibrations. He swung his blade, a faint rumble of wind and thunder accompanying the strike. A large swath of Dark Creatures before him was torn to shreds by the light of his blade.

The ancient frequencies that had always existed between Heaven and Earth were also stirred by the momentum of his blade. Muffled thunder rolled across the sky above the mountain stream, and great masses of wind and clouds gathered overhead. With the Mist no longer blocking the way, sounds from the outside world could finally be heard, and he could now also transmit his own frequencies outward.

The figure of a little girl appeared before him. She seemed to know there was no escape. With wide, pitiful eyes, she looked at him. "Big brother, please don’t kill me, okay?"

Luo Kai was completely unmoved. The light of his blade slashed out like a bolt of silk. By now, his will was as hard as steel. Once he entered a combat state, it was as if nothing else existed between Heaven and Earth; he would ignore any emotion that might affect his fighting ability.

But the sharp strike hit nothing but air. The little girl’s figure dispersed into the air like a puff of water vapor.

"You vile human, I’m going to kill you." A hateful voice echoed from all directions, making it impossible to pinpoint the source.

Luo Kai stood still for a moment, extending his mental Perception. Every movement in his surroundings was swiftly fed back into his mind. He could even capture the subtlest changes in the air. No matter what kind of stealth technique the enemy used, it was bound to disturb the air currents. In an instant, he had locked onto his target. He abruptly swung his blade in an upward slash. A shrill scream echoed from above his head, and the little girl’s figure was torn to shreds by the blade’s light like a piece of paper. However, no blood or body parts appeared.

Far away in the air, the little girl’s figure reappeared. Her shattered body continuously underwent Fusion, and her appearance was no longer cute and docile. She became emaciated, her skin an ashen blue, her crimson eyes filled with ferocity. Her semi-translucent body rippled like flowing water before it suddenly Split down the middle. This was followed by two becoming four, then four becoming eight... In a short while, she had turned into a massive swarm of shadows that pounced toward him.

Luo Kai brandished the Severing Blade. Accompanied by the surging sounds of wind and thunder, he cut through the endless shadows like an autumn wind sweeping through fallen leaves. But these shadows were incredibly bizarre; they felt like air, offering no sense of impact. Moreover, after being cut apart by his blade’s light, they would just Split again, multiplying until there were even more of them. It was impossible to kill them all. He was horrified. ’What kind of ability is this? It completely violates the laws of physics!’

On the other side, Tuoba Ye and Xi Jinghui were encountering the same situation. These Abyss Clan People weren’t powerful and posed no real threat to them, but they seemed to possess a powerful Ability that made them immune to physical attacks. The only thing that could restrain them was the scorching light radiating from Su Chengbo.

Tuoba Ye seemed to have thought of something and shouted, "These things are just like the Extraterrestrial Creatures! We can kill them as long as we find their consciousness point!"

Luo Kai realized it at the same moment. All matter constantly emits a Magnetic Field, and the consciousness point must be the focal point of that field. He leaped into the air, and his Severing Blade slashed down with unstoppable momentum.

The little girl’s figure appeared once more, looking down in confusion at her own fragmented body, as if she couldn’t believe she had died just like that. With the death of the main consciousness, the dense swarm of shadows all collapsed into disgusting, jelly-like blobs.

It seemed the Abyssal Clan, having lived underground for so long, had evolved a powerful Ability similar to that of an earthworm, only far more potent than what an ordinary earthworm was capable of.

The methods of this Abyss Race were very similar to those of the Extraterrestrial Creatures; both could create Clones. However, their bodies were far weaker in comparison, not even close to the Extraterrestrial Creatures.

Luo Kai landed on the ground and looked at the endless Dark Creatures and the dense swarm of shadows still surrounding them. Killing them with normal methods was still too slow. Meanwhile, the scorching white light around Su Chengbo had already begun to dim. ’The technique he’s using must be the same principle as me burning my qi and blood,’ Luo Kai thought. ’It’s immense combat power gained by overdrawing on one’s life force. It definitely can’t last. Once the Mist undergoes Fusion again, we’ll really be trapped here to die.’

He hesitated no longer. Taking a deep breath, he raised his blade and sliced it across his palm. Perhaps because his control over his emotions had improved, his mind felt as still as water. He found it difficult to even summon a strong desire for battle. The Evil Energy in his chest couldn’t sense any extreme emotional fluctuations from him and thus couldn’t be activated. He could only use his own blood to ignite the Evil Energy.

With his Qi and Blood Circulation moving at high speed, his blood had already taken on a blackish hue. The moment it touched the Severing Blade, a black Evil Flame erupted. The roiling, cloud-like Evil Energy within the mountain stream was drawn in, swarming over to fuel the Black Flame on the Severing Blade.

In a short while, he looked as if he were holding a massive torch. His giant body was completely enveloped in the Black Flame. In the pitch-black mountain stream, he resembled a Demon God straight out of Hell.

As Luo Kai ignited the Evil Energy, the very air in the mountain stream seemed to grow oppressive. The other three turned to stare in horror at the figure covered in Black Flame. A tragic, desolate feeling rose in their hearts, as if they were about to witness an apocalypse where all living things would wither and die.

Xi Jinghui seemed to have realized something, exclaiming in shock, "Evil Energy! He can use Evil Energy!"

It was also the first time Tuoba Ye had seen Luo Kai wield Evil Energy against an enemy. With a complicated expression, he sighed and said, "That’s right. This kid really is an anomaly!"
