Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Great Emperor Master, You Mean Your Female Master Once Lived Here?
Sanbao’s face was expressionless as he obediently walked over, standing still beside her with his little bottom bare.
Shen Yue put down the other three she was holding, picked up Sanbao, and said,
"Sanbao, if you really can’t maintain your human form, it’s okay to change back, alright? Your female mother isn’t scared."
Hearing this, the murderous aura in Sanbao’s eyes softened a little.
"No."
Shen Yue looked at the other little ones gathered around her and asked,
"Sanbao is my good baby, and he’s your real brother. None of us will be afraid of Sanbao, right? All of his brothers will love Sanbao just as much as they love their female mother, right?"
Dabao was the most cooperative, acting like a big brother:
"Mhm, Dabao isn’t scared. Sanbao, change back!"
Although Er Bao was timid, he mustered up his courage with Dabao taking the lead and said,
"Mhm, Er Bao isn’t scared anymore either. I’m sorry, Sanbao. Er Bao won’t say things like that again. Please change back!"
When the Little Flood Dragon heard this, his eyes flickered and he glanced at Er Bao.
It seemed he had accepted the apology.
But that single glance was enough to make Er Bao shrink back and his ears droop.
From the shadows, Mu Silin: "..."
’What is going on?’
’How is my son such a coward? He gets this scared from just a single glance?’
’I must be seeing things...’
’Could something have happened back in the cave? My son’s body is strong, and he even hatched before the Little Flood Dragon. How could he be afraid of him?’
’This is a disgrace to his majestic Black Panther style!’
’It’s a total waste of the spiritual power I specifically transferred to him to make him hatch early!’
Seeing the dark expression on his face, a subordinate next to him couldn’t help but cough.
"General, the Flood Dragon Clan naturally has a powerful and mysterious aura. It’s normal for the Little General to be afraid!"
Mu Silin was instantly displeased.
"Who said my son is afraid? Didn’t you see him bravely say he wasn’t scared?!"
Hearing this, the subordinate quickly ignored the Little Black Panther’s drooping ears and lied without batting an eye:
"Right, the Little General isn’t afraid. I was mistaken. The Little General is majestic, brave, and upright. It’s clear he will one day inherit your powerful bloodline, General!"
Mu Silin nodded in satisfaction. ’That’s more like it!’
’I’ll fight anyone who dares to call my son a coward!’
Just then, down below, Si Bao said defiantly, "Is Sanbao that scary? Change back and let me see just how scary you are!"
Wubao said domineeringly, "I’m no coward! I’m not scared, so just change!"
Liu Bao said haughtily, "You’re definitely not as good-looking as me!"
Although the little ones all said different things, none of them were rejecting Sanbao. In fact, their tones were full of anticipation.
Except for Er Bao, who was still timid.
Shen Yue looked at Sanbao in her arms.
"What do you say, Sanbao? Do you want to change back and show your brothers your beautiful Dragon Scales?"
The little one’s face was still expressionless, but he wasn’t as cold as before.
"No."
Shen Yue: "..."
’Okay, confirmed. He’s my little ice cube son.’
"Alright, then. Your female mother will give you names now."
When the little ones heard this, they were incredibly excited, their faces full of anticipation as they looked at her.
"Yay, we’re getting names!"
Shen Yue looked at Si Bao first.
"Hmm... Si Bao is so vibrantly red. How about Qing Ran? And we’ll call you Little Ran?"
Si Bao’s eyes darted around, then lit up.
"Okay, I’ll be Little Ran! It sounds nice!"
A smile touched Shen Yue’s lips. ’Si Bao is proud, defiant, and unruly. I hope this name can help him become a little more peaceful.’
"Now, for Wubao. With your white fur and fearless bravery, how about Fengxi?"
To chase the wind, to grow wild. To rise with the wind, ever-growing and unending.
Wubao was so delighted he instantly transformed into his human form and clapped his little hands.
"Fengxi, Fengxi! Wubao likes this name!"
"As for Liu Bao~" Shen Yue mused, looking at the little white-furred fox on the ground. He was so beautiful it left her speechless.
The little fox looked at her expectantly, his dark cyan eyes shimmering with light.
"Liu Bao is like an Elf from a snowy mountain. Let’s call you Fuxue. Xuebao. How does that sound?"
Liu Bao was overjoyed.
"Fuxue! Okay, Liu Bao will be Fuxue!!"
All the children had received their names, and each one was beautiful, unique, and full of meaning. Only Sanbao was still staring at her in a daze.
Even Mu Silin, hidden in the shadows, couldn’t help but marvel. He hadn’t expected this woman to be so brilliant, choosing names that fit each of the cubs so perfectly.
It was as if those names had always been meant for them.
Just then, Dabao looked at Sanbao expectantly.
"Female mother, what about Sanbao? What’s Sanbao’s name?"
Shen Yue held Sanbao in her arms, a smile gracing her face.
She had saved Sanbao for last because she wanted him to remember this day forever.
Meeting Sanbao’s cold eyes, which now held a hint of expectation, Shen Yue spoke gently.
"Sanbao, although being born with a cold body isn’t your fault, your female mother wants you to feel warmth. I want to name you Chi Yan, hoping that in the future, though your body may be like an icy pool, your heart will be sincere and as scorching hot as summer. How does that sound?"
The Little Flood Dragon in her arms, his eyes flickering, had clearly taken her words to heart. He nodded.
"Okay."
Still just one word.
But Shen Yue could feel that he was happy too.
In that moment, all six little cubs had names. They hopped and skipped around Shen Yue, looking absolutely adorable.
Nearby, Si Muye watched as Shen Yue was surrounded by the six little ones, and the corners of his mouth couldn’t help but lift into a small smile. He could sense that A Yue was happy at this moment.
And he was happy too.
’So this is what it’s like to be surrounded by children,’ he thought. ’Even if they aren’t surrounding me, just watching from afar makes me as happy as she is.’
「Meanwhile.」
In Barbaric City, Huang Ziyue was standing in the room where Shen Yue once lived. The Flood Dragon Horns on his head suddenly began to emit halos of light, each one stronger than before.
A sharp-eyed subordinate beside him noticed.
"Great Emperor Master, your Horns!"
Huang Ziyue wore a dark red cloak over his shoulders and was wrapped in a black robe. His slender figure was like that of an Asura or a vampire emerging from the dark night. His ink-black hair cascaded down like a waterfall, and his face was as cold as frost, exuding a wicked, noble, god-like aura.
His dark red eyes narrowed. Sensing the pheromones being transmitted from his Flood Dragon Horns, he locked onto a new destination.
His sensual, thin lips curved into a smile.
"So, she’s not here. But she lived here once."
Hearing this, the subordinate beside him looked around.
"Great Emperor Master, are you saying that your Female Master once lived here?"
Huang Ziyue furrowed his handsome brow. ’Hmph. My Female Master?’
’What a novel term.’
The subordinate continued, "But the lingering aura here is at least two months old. Where is that noble female now?"
’And since she is carrying the Great Emperor Master’s children, that noble Female Master’s identity must be extraordinary. So why would she live in Barbaric City? This is a land of exile!’
The subordinate couldn’t make sense of it.
As for Huang Ziyue, he heard the question and shot the man a cold glare.
The subordinate was so frightened he instantly understood.
’I spoke out of turn. I asked too many questions I shouldn’t have.’
Huang Ziyue narrowed his eyes, looking at the courtyard before him. It was neither large nor small and could be considered safe, but the facilities were extremely crude, barely habitable.
He never imagined the woman carrying his child would be living in a place like this.
But now she had left. According to the direction from the pheromones, she should be north of Barbaric City, in Wilderness Mountain, which wasn’t far from the border.
’She’s a weak female. Why would she take my child and run off to a place like that instead of staying in the city?’
’Doesn’t she know how dangerous it is for a female to leave the city?’
At this thought, his eyes darkened. ’Could it be... that someone drove her out of the city?’
