Chapter 1294: Chapter 628: Leaping Through the Dragon Gate (Part 2)

Chen Xuantian wasn’t in a hurry to go in. He first peeked through the door. There was a person inside the cubicle. However, it didn’t appear to be Xuan Du, nor a child, but a gray-skinned humanoid creature, with no clothes on. Judging from the proportions of its hands, feet, and spine, its height must be over two zhang. The whole ’person’ was curled up with its back to the door, unable to move. It’s unclear how it was stuffed in there. Apparently, it was some kind of monster.

So, Chen Xuantian withdrew his hand, and the cubicle was once again shrouded in cloud and mist. He went on to check another room.

Inside this one was a lizard about eight feet long, or perhaps a crocodile, maybe some kind of Drake. All in all, it looked like the usual reptile, with nothing peculiar at first glance. However, being able to have a private space on the Titan suggested it was an evolved Chimera, perhaps a solitary beast.

Chen Xuantian continued to feel the windows, checking along the beehive. There were bizarrely shaped concrete statues, tragic masks, porcelain bottles, quartz-like crystal columns, butterflies... What a messy assortment...

Still, Chen Xuantian wasn’t in a rush. He proceeded to open, one by one, mentally noting each time. He was opening blind boxes, searching for Xuan Du, pondering where gaps might exist, where non-entities could be leveraged, where he could find a place to live longer.

Yes, this was his plan, the ultimate solution Chen Xuantian had devised.

Chen Xuantian planned to stay put in the Dangerous Goods Warehouse.

Of course, it wasn’t about escaping reality. It was to trap Lingxu here.

After all, this place could seal dangerous non-entities and imprison the Thunder Ancestor, so why couldn’t it confine Lingxu as well? Otherwise, why would that guy no longer dare to come here personally?

Lingxu would definitely come. After all, he still wanted to devour Xuan Du, didn’t he? He also wanted to consume the Netherworld Spring and achieve Returning Void, didn’t he? As long as he showed up personally, a battle could begin.

With so many bizarre monsters here, if all were released, even if Lingxu were more powerful, he’d be caught off guard for a while, right? Not to mention the suppression from the Shenxiao Guardian and interference from Chen Xuantian, plus a Breaking Dao Sword that could be used twice. It wouldn’t be without a fighting chance, would it?

Even if giving his all could only seal Lingxu here for decades, as long as he could hold out until Tie Dan’s Divine Skill achieved great success, or bear through until the company’s war was over, Lingxu’s chance for enlightenment would pass, wouldn’t the world be saved?

Yes, it’s merely imprisoning for a couple of hundred to a thousand years. He, Chen Xuantian, thought to himself — can’t I do something for everyone just this once?

"Clang!"

Then thunder sounded, as if hit by an electromagnetic pulse, making the surrounding lights flicker wildly.

"Xuan Du?"

Chen Xuantian poked his head out to take a look outside. He could only hear thunder echoing endlessly in the boundless floors...

"Clang, clang, clang!"

It wasn’t an echo!

Chen Xuantian leapt down the stairwell, spreading the dragon wings. The enormous shadow sailed across the cylinder building, diving toward a sequence of thunder echoes in the distance. From afar, he saw a large mass of flickering electricity.

But it wasn’t Xuan Du; it was a child. Was it a misconception? The child seemed to have grown a little, now seated on the ground wrapped in a swaddle, shaking a bell in hand. Each time it shook...

"Clang!!!"

"Alright, alright, I’m here! Stop ringing it, it’s deafening!"

Chen Xuantian landed on the ground, taking a closer look at the bell.

This was a Magic Bell, also known as an Emperor Bell, a classic Magic Artifact of the Ancient Taoist Sect. It was about seven inches high, with a mouth about three inches wide. The handle formed the shape of a mountain character, inscribed with scriptures and talismans on the bell. A clapper hung inside, and every time the bell was shaken, "clang clang!" would thunder, creating streaks of lightning.

The kid made a "clang!" pointing a finger at him.

Chen Xuantian thought the child wanted a hug, but reaching out, he was rebuffed and received an eye-roll, followed by another "clang!" pointing.

Following the pointing finger, Chen Xuantian saw the string of beads in his hand.

"What? You want it? You want to pass on the Supreme Dao too? Don’t, it’s a dead end, no way out."

Despite his words, Chen Xuantian handed over the string of beads to the child.

The child wore the beads on his right hand, thumb pressing the second and third fingers, pinching the Hai script, forming a Thunder Formation. Left hand clutching the Magic Bell, clenched into a fist, thumb tip pinching the Zi script, setting up a Lightning Formation.

Seeing the left Thunder right Lightning pose with crossed lightning strikes, sparking thunder discharging, Chen Xuantian felt suspicious,

"Hey, are you cosplaying the Thunder Ancestor?"

The child ignored him, "clang!" hitting the room behind, making it clear that he wanted him to open the door.

Fine, I’ll open it.

Chen Xuantian opened the door, then froze in place.

In the room was a Silver Axe and a goat.

...A goat?

Yes, a goat, an alpine goat, with snow-white fur and nine horns on its head, bleating "mehmeh~" as it chewed something, sauntering out from the door.

Chen Xuantian was dumbfounded.

The child wasn’t, reaching into the goat’s mouth, fishing out a mud ball, then swallowing it whole.

"Hey, wait..."

Too shocked to stop him in time, Chen Xuantian watched as the child grew, big enough to hop on the goat’s back on his own.

The child gave him a look, motioning for Chen Xuantian to hide inside the room.

By an odd impulse, Chen Xuantian ducked inside.

Then through the door, he saw the goat carrying the child, bouncing up into the air. The child on the goat’s back pointed one hand to the sky, the other to the ground, began chanting,

"Zha!"

"Boom!!!"

"Wow!"

A gigantic thunder bolt flashed, piercing through the entire non-entity apartment building! This bolt wasn’t Shenxiao Heavenly Thunder! It was an unprecedented black lightning!

Lightning as colossal as a black dragon thrashed its claws! Thunderstorm ravaged the apartment building in a flashing explosion! Flash after flash, crash after crash, echoed with the thunder and lightning, an overwhelming display of black and white flashing wildly outside! It stunned Chen Xuantian speechless, with the shock raising tendrils on his face!
