Secret Marriage: The CEO's Pampered Wife
Chapter 336 - 323: People in Love Can’t Help Themselves (Part 1)
She murmured softly in his ear, her voice clear and sweet, "You know, I really feel like this is all a dream!"
"Don’t worry, this is one dream we’ll never wake up from!" Elliot Sheridan lowered his head and kissed her forehead, his voice deep and magnetic. "I will be lost in it with you!"
Wedding photoshoots are exhausting, and Georgia Thorne already had experience with this.
But Elliot was a thoughtful husband. During their breaks, he would help her into the car, take off her shoes, and massage her feet.
The high heels didn’t quite fit. Georgia Thorne had been dragging the long train of her dress and standing in nearly four-inch heels for over two hours, and the skin on her heels was rubbed red and raw.
"It hurts, be gentle!" Georgia suddenly grabbed Elliot’s arm, shaking her head and motioning for him to stop.
Elliot held her foot. "Does it hurt a lot?"
She nodded frantically.
"Relax, I won’t touch it," he said softly, promising to avoid the sore spot.
Half-convinced, Georgia loosened her grip. The next second, his large hand quickly pressed down hard on the painful spot. Georgia shrieked in pain, tears springing to her eyes.
"It’ll stop hurting after I rub it for a bit!"
Georgia pounded on his chest, biting her lower lip hard.
After a short break, she changed into a new wedding dress. The makeup artist came to do a touch-up. "How did your lipstick get so smudged!"
There were even clear bite marks on her lips. Thinking about how hard Elliot had just pressed, Georgia ground her teeth in frustration.
She paused for just a few seconds before answering, and the makeup artist and the others were already letting their imaginations run wild.
"Well, I..."
"I get it. Couples in the heat of passion just can’t help themselves!"
"It’s not like that!" Georgia’s face flushed crimson with embarrassment, and the makeup artist and the others covered their mouths to hide their laughter.
’There’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Even if it were true, it would be perfectly normal.’
The weather was quite nice that day. They changed into three different outfits, finishing the morning’s shoot by a lake.
After lunch, they rushed to the next location.
Georgia was exhausted, so tired she felt weak. She leaned against Elliot’s shoulder and closed her eyes to sleep.
Perhaps it was because he was by her side, but Georgia slept unusually soundly.
When Elliot woke her, the car had already arrived at their destination.
It wasn’t just any destination; they had been here before.
Georgia stood at the entrance, craning her neck to look up at the grand villa before her. "Do you remember? This is the place where we’ll live in the future."
"Once, after we had a fight, I brought you here to see it. Want to take another tour?"
Georgia could clearly remember the villa’s layout. Elliot had shown her around, explaining everything in detail.
’Come to think of it,’ she realized, ’I haven’t told Elliot my memory has returned.’
Elliot took her hand, and Georgia nodded.
Although they hadn’t officially moved in yet, Elliot had hired an elderly couple a long time ago.
They were husband and wife, and not only could they live here, but they would also help Elliot manage the villa.
When the old man saw Elliot arrive, he called out, "Sir," and then addressed Georgia as "Madam."
Georgia nodded to them both, then looked at Elliot in confusion.
The latter explained, "This is Old Mr. Halloway, and that’s his wife. I’ve hired them to manage the villa."
While the photographer and his team were setting up a scene in the downstairs hall, Georgia followed Elliot on a tour from the ground floor to the top, and he even gave them a detailed introduction to the nursery.
Standing before the master bedroom, Elliot pointed to a painting on the wall. "That’s your first piece for a competition. How about we hang our wedding photo here in the future?"
Georgia let go of Elliot and stood directly in front of the painting, her eyes welling up with tears.
"Do you like it here?"
"I love it. I really, really love it!" Georgia nodded emphatically.
’Later, once everything is resolved, we can live here.’
’Just us, and our children, living happily together.’
The wedding photoshoot continued that afternoon for several more hours.
Before they knew it, the sky outside had darkened. The setting sun hung on the horizon, growing ever more brilliant.
The staff from the bridal shop had left. Georgia changed into a comfortable set of clothes and came downstairs to find Elliot standing by the door, talking on the phone.
"Mom, we won’t be back for the next couple of days. I know, I’ll take good care of her!"
Georgia hadn’t even reached him when Elliot turned around, hooking a long arm around her and pulling her into his embrace.
"Mom wants to talk to you." He held the phone to Georgia’s ear. "Hello, Mom, it’s me!"
"Georgia, where are you two?"
Georgia glanced up at the man beside her. Elliot shook his head at her. Georgia stammered, "At the seaside!"
"The seaside? Why did you go so far away!"
"Yeah... I’ll take care of myself. Mom, I have to go, something’s come up. Talk to you later!"
While Georgia was on the phone, Elliot was being mischievous, tickling her sides. It was her greatest weakness.
Sharon Ennis hadn’t even finished speaking when the call was disconnected.
"Since when did you learn to lie!"
"Who’s lying!" Georgia retorted instinctively.
’And whose fault was that!’
What was once an extravagant hope had become reality.
Just as the two were locked in a passionate kiss, two rather inopportune voices sounded nearby.
"The Master and Madam are so sweet together!"
"Yes, it makes one so envious!"
It was a conversation between Old Mr. Halloway and his wife.
Georgia’s ears instantly turned red, and she pushed against Elliot’s chest with both hands.
"Did you hear that? They said they’re envious of us!"
Georgia gave a soft "mhm." As he gazed at her with deep affection, her shyness instantly vanished.
She forcefully tugged his tie, pulling him down towards her and planting a kiss on the corner of his lips.
"From now on, you’re mine. You’re not allowed to even glance at another woman, and you’re not allowed to mention another woman’s name in front of me. You can only dote on me!" she boldly declared her claim.
"What about our daughter?"
"She can be the exception!"
Elliot smiled indulgently. "Alright!"
Dinner was prepared by Georgia and Old Mr. Halloway’s wife.
Mrs. Halloway was an excellent cook, so Georgia mostly just helped her out.
They were both in high spirits during dinner and even opened a bottle of wine.
"When did you put this here?" Georgia took a sip, the rich, mellow flavor spreading through her mouth.
"A long time ago!" Elliot raised his glass to her and took a sip of the red wine.
Soon, the bottle of red wine was empty.
Georgia’s face was flushed, but she showed no signs of being drunk.
Elliot rested his forehead in his hand. ’A beautiful night, a beautiful scene... but alas, I completely forgot about Georgia’s alcohol tolerance!’
Georgia’s tolerance for alcohol wasn’t just good; it was exceptionally good.
She could even drink Ethan Fletcher’s special-brew liquor all by herself without any issue.
After they opened another three bottles in a row, Georgia gradually started to feel the effects of the alcohol.
Georgia had drunk a lot, and though her thoughts were still clear, a wave of lethargy washed over her.
She lay lazily on the sofa, hugging a pillow while watching an entertainment program, giggling foolishly along with the television.
"It’s getting late, time for bed," Elliot reminded her.
Georgia hummed in agreement and looked at the time. It was already past eleven.
Feeling lazy to her very bones, she snuggled into Elliot’s arms. "So tired. Can you carry me upstairs?"
Elliot turned off the TV, stood up, and scooped her up into his arms with ease.
Georgia’s movements and reaction time had slowed considerably; it took her a long time to process anything.
Elliot was worried about letting Georgia shower by herself. "Are you sure you can manage on your own?"
Georgia pulled at his hands. "Of course, I can! Just let go of me first!"
Elliot helped her into the bathroom, but Georgia just urged him out. "Okay, okay, you can go now!"
"Call me if you need anything!" he said, still worried.
The door closed, and the sound of running water soon came from the bathroom.
Elliot stood right outside the door, ready to rush in at the first sign of trouble.
In fact, Elliot was worrying for nothing. Even drunk, Georgia could handle herself.
After showering and getting dressed, Georgia picked up the hair dryer to dry her hair.
But no matter how she tried to turn it on, it wouldn’t work, so she called for the man outside.
Elliot rushed in. "What’s wrong?"
He pushed the door open to see Georgia standing in front of the mirror, her face flushed from her hot shower.
"The hair dryer’s broken!" Georgia tried turning it on several times in front of Elliot, but it was no use.
’So it was just this little thing.’ He had been worried for nothing.
Elliot walked over, took the hair dryer, and saw that it wasn’t plugged in.
He plugged it in and started drying Georgia’s hair for her.
The WHIRRING sound drowned out Georgia’s voice. She stood obediently in front of Elliot, letting him dry her hair.
Once her hair was dry, Georgia held her arms out to him, cutely demanding, "Carry me!"
He dropped the hair dryer, lifted her into his arms, and walked out of the bathroom.
When Georgia was tipsy like this, she was usually obedient and clingy.
Lying on the bed, she rolled herself up in the covers and, as an afterthought, shot him a look of mock disgust. "Hurry up and go take a shower!"
’This,’ he thought, ’feels like a silent invitation.’
Elliot sat on the edge of the bed, tilted her chin up, and kissed her deeply.
"You reek of alcohol. Go wash up!"
Elliot didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Who was it, exactly, that reeked more of alcohol?
Of those three extra bottles of red wine, she had drunk almost two of them herself.
Rejected by a drunken Georgia, Elliot reluctantly went into the bathroom to shower.
When he came out, Georgia was already fast asleep.
He could only sigh, turn off the lights, and go to bed.
In truth, with a beautiful woman in his arms, any red-blooded man would find it difficult to sleep.
Especially when the "jade" in his arms was no ordinary woman.
The curtains hadn’t been drawn, and the bright moonlight streamed in, filling the room with a silvery glow.
In that silver light, he looked down at the woman sleeping in his arms.
"Georgia?" he whispered her name softly in her ear.
Georgia mumbled a response and turned over, pressing closer to him.
"I want you. What should I do?"
This time, Georgia made no sound, deeply asleep.
"If you don’t say anything, I’ll take that as a yes!"
The soundly sleeping Georgia: "..."
When Georgia woke up the next day, she was having a complete internal meltdown.
After listening to Elliot’s explanation, she wanted to throttle him. ’That’s what he calls asking for my opinion? That was a full-on ambush!’
