“An interesting place. Neo Seoul.”

The man who had walked out of the portal muttered as he looked around the slums.

It was a slum that had been half reduced to ruins by the monsters’ attacks.

If a city had collapsed to this extent, despair should have been etched onto the faces of the people.

However, the faces of the people who were out on the streets now held both hope and joy.

Because they had protected Neo Seoul and the slums from the monsters’ great offensive.

The Awakeneds who had fought fierce battles and the citizens who had diligently provided support from the rear were embracing each other and rejoicing.

“Hey, brother…”

Several people approached the man, trying to share in their joy with him. But the moment they saw the man’s appearance, that feeling vanished like melting snow.

It was because the man’s appearance was impossibly beautiful, unlike anyone from this world.

His silver hair, grown down to his waist, shone with a glossy luster, and his white skin, contrasting against it, sparkled under the scorching sunlight.

Above all, what made the man stand apart from everyone else were his crimson-red eyes.

Those blood-red eyes contained a dignity that instinctively intimidated anyone who looked into them.

The people who had approached to share the joy could not even think of moving, crushed by the man’s overwhelming appearance and atmosphere.

The silver-haired man indifferently scanned over the people who had frozen like mannequins.

The faces of those who received his gaze directly instantly turned pale white, and soon they rolled their eyes back and collapsed unconscious.

“Trash who don’t even know the difference in status.”

The man clicked his tongue and continued walking.

He had been watching Neo Seoul for a long time.

However, this was his first time entering inside.

Normally, he would have flown through the sky or walked here, but this time he had specially used a portal.

He had learned that there was a portal in the Steel Fortress and used it.

Thanks to that, he was able to enter Neo Seoul comfortably without spending even a bit of strength.

The Steel Fortress had dispatched countless Awakeneds through portals in order to support Neo Seoul.

Because of that, there was no time to properly verify identities.

Since they were departing from the Steel Fortress anyway, they simply assumed they were on the same side.

The man did attract attention because of his unusual appearance, but there were no problems using the portal.

Thanks to that, he was able to enter Neo Seoul comfortably.

The place the man headed toward after leaving the portal was none other than Sinchon.

Looking around the ruined Sinchon, the man muttered.

“So a dragon was hiding inside a human city after all. He threw a dragon’s pride straight into the gutter.”

The man’s crimson eyes shone coldly.

His name was none other than Raikas.

Chaos Dragon Raikas had entered Neo Seoul after polymorphing into a human.

Even after changing into a human, his pressure and presence were by no means diluted or weakened.

Because of that, the people who met his eyes rolled their eyes back and collapsed as if they had been struck by lightning.

“Hey! What’s wrong?”

“No, this guy…”

The people beside those who had collapsed were startled and hurriedly supported them.

Boom, boom, boom!

Even at that moment, countless people were falling.

They had unconsciously looked at Raikas, and their consciousness had been completely erased by the difference in their levels.

Thanks to that, a path opened before Raikas.

At this point, the Awakeneds nearby also sensed that something strange was happening.

Their gazes turned toward Raikas.

They instinctively realized that Raikas was the cause of this situation.

“Hey, stop there and reveal your identity.”

“What are you?”

The Awakeneds drew their weapons and warned Raikas.

But Raikas was not someone who would stop walking because of the warnings of humans.

Even if they were not humans but dragons, they could not stop his steps.

Unless he himself wished to stop.

Raikas briefly looked at the Awakeneds who dared to block his path.

“Ugh!”

“Ghk!”

The Awakeneds who looked directly into Raikas’s red eyes screamed and collapsed, feeling as if their eyeballs were burning.

Dozens of Awakeneds were incapacitated in an instant.

Raikas did not even spare a glance at those who had fallen and silently continued walking.

The place he was heading toward was a building near the Goblin Market in Sinchon.

Traces of destruction still remained on the upper part of the building.

It was Tesserina’s lair, where the giant bat had crashed into.

Although the barrier had been urgently restored, the building itself had not been repaired yet.

During that brief moment when the barrier was broken, Nigel’s energy, who had been focusing on treatment inside, had been exposed.

Contrary to Tesserina’s wishes, Raikas had not missed that fleeting instant and had sensed it.

“Nigel!”

Raikas’s gaze toward Tesserina’s lair grew even redder.

The barrier had been restored and was perfectly concealing Nigel’s presence, but Raikas’s senses could clearly feel Nigel’s existence.

Such a barrier could deceive Raikas’s senses when he was far away, but at this close distance, it was useless.

As Tesserina’s lair came closer, the corpse of a massive monster came into view.

It was the corpse of the giant bat that had destroyed Tesserina’s lair.

In front of the giant bat’s corpse was Levin, together with Yoo Se-hee and the Black Lion.

They were preparing to process the giant bat’s corpse at the Goblin Market.

Giving it to Neo Seoul would be good, but handing it over to the Goblin Market would bring greater profit.

“Selling an entire S-rank monster, and that price is ridiculous.”

“Please understand our situation too. Right now, it’s difficult for us to spend such a huge amount.”

“I’m not doing this just for myself. I’m going to use all of it for rebuilding this neighborhood, so pay a little more.”

“Seriously, you…”

Yoo Se-hee was left speechless by Levin’s words.

Since he said he would use the money earned from selling the giant bat to rebuild the slums, she had no reason to lower the price.

The Black Lion beside them smiled and spoke.

“Let’s do as Levin says.”

“Seriously, it’s not like we’re selling sand to make a living. Damn it! Fine! I’ll do that.”

Even when the Black Lion said this, Yoo Se-hee had no choice.

In the end, she decided to purchase the giant bat’s corpse at the price Levin suggested.

Only then did Levin’s face brighten.

“Hehe! Thank you. Everyone in this neighborhood will be grateful.”

“Hmph! Whatever.”

“You’re happy inside though…”

Suddenly, Levin trailed off.

Because Raikas had entered his field of vision.

The moment he saw Raikas, goosebumps rose across his entire body.

As an S-rank Awakened, he immediately realized that Raikas was not an ordinary existence.

He hurriedly spoke to Yoo Se-hee.

“Big sister, get away from here quickly.”

“What?”

“Quickly.”

Levin’s voice trembled naturally.

Even when fighting the giant bat, an S-rank monster, he had never felt this much fear.

Just by looking into the opponent’s eyes, he felt as if his entire body was being torn apart.

It felt like his eyes and heart would explode at any moment.

The Black Lion also felt the same intense sense of danger as Levin and hurriedly hid Yoo Se-hee behind his back.

“Do as Levin says.”

“Really?”

“You must get as far away as possible.”

“Got it.”

At the Black Lion’s serious expression, Yoo Se-hee no longer asked questions.

If both Levin and the Black Lion were making expressions like this, then the opponent was clearly not an ordinary existence.

The Black Lion blocked Yoo Se-hee’s line of sight so she could not see Raikas.

Thanks to that, Yoo Se-hee was able to endure without losing consciousness.

Raikas looked at Levin and the Black Lion with an interested expression.

Because they were the only two people who had encountered him on his way here and had not fallen.

“Besides Zeon, there are humans worth using.”

“How do you know my brother Zeon?”

“Brother? It seems you are close with Zeon.”

“So?”

“It seems destined that I keep becoming entangled with Zeon.”

“What kind of bullshit are you…”

“Even Zeon could not say such harsh words in front of me. Child.”

At that moment, gray energy surged out from Raikas like a wave and covered Levin and the others.

Levin hurriedly dropped a Giga Lightning and shouted.

“Run! Hurry!”

“Damn it!”

The Black Lion held Yoo Se-hee in his arms and leapt backward.

The thing most important to him was protecting Yoo Se-hee.

As long as he could protect her, he was willing to endure any accusations of cowardice.

The Black Lion moved away from Levin and Raikas at terrifying speed.

Meanwhile, the Giga Lightning created by Levin struck the gray energy.

BOOM!

With a thunderous explosion, the ground burst apart.

However, the gray energy, which was the target, did not suffer even the slightest damage.

The gray energy instantly surrounded Levin.

At the ominous feeling, Levin hurriedly activated his ghostification.

At that moment, Raikas muttered in a low voice.

“Chaos Chain Explosion.”

BOOM!

The gray mist surrounding Levin began a chain of explosions.

“Ugh!”

From the tremendous impact, Levin screamed and was thrown backward.

Even though physical attacks could not affect Levin’s ghostified body, he still suffered severe damage.

It was because of the authority of chaos that Raikas possessed.

“Cough!”

In the end, Levin could not endure it and vomited blood.

It was the first physical injury he had received since becoming ghostified.

“What the hell…?”

Levin’s eyes trembled.

In his unfocused vision, the image of Raikas slowly approaching became reflected.

“You possess quite a useful skill, but it does not work against me, human child.”

Raikas raised a finger.

A small sphere formed at his fingertip.

It was a Chaos Bead, a condensed form of chaos power.

The Chaos Bead ignored all laws within the area and inflicted devastating damage.

No matter how much Levin possessed the ability to become a ghost, it was useless before the Chaos Bead.

Such an ability only worked between those who existed on equal levels.

Against an existence like Raikas, who possessed a far higher level of status, it was nothing more than a child’s plaything.

“I will erase your existence from this world entirely.”

Raikas flicked his finger, and the Chaos Bead shot forward at frightening speed.

Levin could not even dare to avoid it and tightly closed his eyes.

BOOM!

Along with the explosion, Levin’s body shook violently as if swept away by a typhoon.

However, he felt no pain.

Confused, he opened his eyes.

A massive man was standing in front of him, blocking his way.

The huge man covered in black scales had cut the Chaos Bead apart with an enormous greatsword.

The man, boasting a towering body over five meters tall, was none other than Nigel.

“Raikas!”

“As expected, you came rushing out.”

“Did you really chase me all the way here?”

“Did you think I wouldn’t find you just because you hid yourself away in a human city?”

Seeing the ridicule appear at the corner of Raikas’s mouth, Nigel clenched his teeth.

He had not even completely healed the wounds he had suffered before, while Raikas seemed to have become even stronger than before.

“So you absorbed the crystal that Dantal was holding.”

“That’s right! It took a little longer to find you because I had to completely absorb it.”

“You have no intention of stopping here, do you?”

“If I intended to stop, I would not have gone through the trouble of coming all the way here to find you.”

“Then we must finish this today.”

Nigel raised his fighting spirit.

This was not an opponent that conversation or persuasion would work on.

No matter what Nigel said, Raikas would not listen.

“Let’s go out, Raikas!”

“Why? Are you afraid that the human city will be destroyed? You’ve become quite soft.”

“This is between you and me. There is no need to fight here.”

“Keuk! You’d better not think about running away, Nigel!”

“I have no intention of running away anymore. I swear upon the honor of a dragon.”

“If that is the case, then fine. Follow me.”

Raikas launched himself into the air.

He was not leaving Neo Seoul simply because he trusted Nigel’s oath.

There was a certain existence here that he found especially troublesome.

It was Zeon.

Having already fought him once, Raikas knew very well how terrifying an opponent Zeon was.

If Zeon intervened during his battle with Nigel, he could not guarantee victory either.

That was why he accepted Nigel’s proposal.

There was no need to rush dealing with Zeon after he absorbed the crystal Nigel possessed.

By then, he would possess omnipotent power surpassing even Krasias.

And so, Raikas and Nigel disappeared from Neo Seoul.
