Samsara Tower: Only I Know the Plot!

Chapter 471 470: Indescribable, Inaudible

Do not hear. Do not name. Do not look directly. Do not understand.

Such were the rules of the evil gods from the Cthulhu mythos.

These beings were the most troublesome of all—unpredictable, incomprehensible, and far beyond the reach of human or demonic logic. A half-baked demon god like Uvall was nothing before such entities.

Fenric frowned at the thought.

Still, nothing could stop him from challenging the dungeon.

After checking the time, he drained the last of his Spirit-Calming Tea and rose from the box.

The next moment, the Samsara system whisked him away, and he arrived at the base of the Samsara Tower.

Without hesitation, Fenric activated a dungeon refresh card and stepped inside.

—---

Seventeenth Floor – Dungeon Lobby

The elf spirit attendant materialized before him on cue.

"Honored Samsara player, Shura. How may I serve you?"

"I'll be entering the dungeon," Fenric replied.

"This seventeenth floor is a large-scale instance: The Demon of the Heart. Are you certain you wish to proceed?"

"Certain."

"Very well. Please wait a moment."

The elf gestured, and Fenric was transported into the familiar white preparation room.

This time, however, only three other Samsaras were present.

When they saw him, their expressions immediately tightened, and they whispered among themselves.

"That's him… God Shura."

"Yeah. Today I heard he slaughtered dozens of foreign Samsaras in the sixteenth-floor dungeon."

"They say it was both to increase his own strength and wipe out the forces foreigners had built up."

"So what do we do now?"

"What else? We quit. Change instances."

"I warned you he'd be here tonight. You didn't listen. Now we've wasted our time."

Without another word, the three turned and left the room.

Fenric allowed himself a thin smile.

"Good. That leaves the instance to me alone."

Still, he knew better than to relax. Past the fifteenth floor, Samsaras from different zones were often merged into the same dungeon, though they wouldn't always appear in the same preparation space. Who knew how many competitors he'd actually encounter once inside?

Fenric found a seat and waited.

Ten minutes later, the system's voice chimed:

"Teleportation countdown initiated. 10… 9… 8… 3… 2… 1!"

Scarlet light enveloped him, and his vision blurred.

Dungeon World

When his sight cleared, Fenric found himself lying on a hospital bed.

Incandescent lamps filled the room with harsh brightness. The walls were sterile white, medical equipment lined the corners, and the air reeked of disinfectant.

A ward.

He glanced at the electronic calendar on the wall. The red digits read: August 22, 2020.

Fenric's brow furrowed. That was the very same date in his real world.

"This is… modern society?"

He sat up slowly, leaning against the pillow as his eyes scanned the room. The clock read past one in the morning.

"The time matches perfectly. So this really is a parallel world?"

Suddenly, a sharp pain split his head.

Memories not his own surged into his mind, forcing their way into place. Fenric gritted his teeth, enduring the flood of images.

—---

"..."

This world was one where science and martial arts coexisted. Technology thrived, yet martial artists held unrivaled prestige.

The boy whose body he now inhabited had a father—a martial artist, not a grandmaster, but a respected local figure. He ran a small dojo, teaching disciples while raising his son.

The boy's dream was simple: to become a famous martial arts master, just like his father.

But half a year ago, tragedy struck.

A challenger killed his father in a duel, the dojo collapsed, debts piled up, and everything fell apart.

Desperate to grow stronger, the boy trained recklessly, pushed beyond his limits, and damaged his internal organs. The memory ended with him coughing blood and collapsing into a coma.

Ding—!

A mechanical voice rang in Fenric's ears.

"Main Quest Released."

"Objective 1: Fulfill Fenric's lifelong dream—become a world-renowned martial arts master."

"Objective 2: Investigate the true cause of Fenric's father's death and find the killer."

"Time Limit: 100 days."

"Failure Condition: Obliteration."

"Warning: Disclosure of Samsara Space to dungeon inhabitants is strictly forbidden. Violators will be obliterated."

"Note: The higher your completion rate, the greater your evaluation and rewards."

"Haa..."

Fenric exhaled slowly.

According to these inherited memories, martial artists here were anything but ordinary. The strongest could shatter mountains with a strike, tear open the earth, even reduce cities to rubble with their full power. Their might rivaled nuclear weapons.

Fenric clicked his tongue softly.

"A Human Alliance where martial arts flourishes this much… this really is a parallel world. Soul transmigration, huh? Yet my strength feels unchanged. My body's intact."

That wasn't what concerned him.

"What about the so-called indescribable evil gods? There was nothing about them in the memories I received."

He pondered. If those beings did exist, the authorities here must have deliberately erased all traces of them from common knowledge.

Fenric turned his thoughts back to the quest.

The first objective—becoming a famous martial artist—was trivial. With his strength, it would be almost effortless.

But the second… finding his father's killer—that was troublesome.

The boy's memories contained only suspicion, no clues.
