Chapter 189: Chapter 95: Greek Pantheon, the Titans Appear! Part 1

Alex’s eyes turned incomparably cold.

He could clearly sense that the thief had left this trace behind specifically to guide him into the Abyss of Tartarus!

The opponent’s goal was crystal clear. The whereabouts of the Aquarius Cloth pointed straight to the lowest level of hell, a place even the gods avoided!

This was by no means an ordinary theft or act of vandalism. It was more like a meticulously planned trap, a blasphemous invitation directed solely at him, Alex, using the Aquarius Cloth as bait!

The Aquarius Cloth held extraordinary significance to Alex. In truth, all Cloths had their own special attributes, and the Aquarius Cloth was the most suitable armor for ice-type abilities in this world.

Alex had fought countless battles wearing this Cloth and had long since regarded it as his own avatar.

"As expected, these rats in the dark are already making their moves!"

Alex’s gaze was icy, his heart freezing into a bone-chilling flame far colder than Absolute Zero.

Without a moment of hesitation, he summoned the Ophiuchus Cloth, and the vast, majestic Cosmo of the Eighth Sense ignited instantly!

Alex’s figure transformed into a streak of light, forcefully piercing through the black mist! Like a shooting star tearing through space and dimensions, he dove straight toward the ultimate prison beneath the foundation of the world, the legendary Abyss of Tartarus, where the most ancient gods and eternal nightmares were imprisoned!

In the world of Saint Seiya, the Abyss of Tartarus was synonymous with eternal hell, and it was also the true body of the underworld’s hell.

This abyss was actually a living entity, born from Chaos, the creator of the universe.

Tartarus’s seniority was even on par with Gaia, the Mother Earth; it appeared right after Gaia was born.

Many people often confused Tartarus with the Underworld.

In reality, the Underworld was the place where mortal souls went after death, governed by Hades, the King of the Underworld.

Tartarus, on the other hand, was a place used to imprison demons, monsters, and certain fallen deities.

In the Greek pantheon, Chaos was the first-generation deity, the Creator God, also known as the God of Chaos, who gave birth to Gaia, the Mother Earth.

Subsequently, Gaia gave birth to Uranus, the God of the Sky.

These two were known as the Primordial Gods!

The two Primordial Gods, Gaia and Uranus, united and gave birth to eighteen powerful offspring.

Among them were three Cyclopes: Thunder, Lightning, and Thunderbolt.

Three Hecatoncheires (Hundred-Handed Giants): Briareus, Cottus, and Gyges.

And the twelve Titans: Oceanus, Coeus, Crius, Hyperion, Iapetus, Theia, Rhea, Themis, Mnemosyne, Phoebe, Tethys, and Cronus.

These twelve Titans were also referred to as the second-generation gods.

Cronus was the most powerful among the twelve Titans. He defeated all his siblings and became the God King!

Cronus and his sister Rhea then gave birth to the Twelve Olympian Gods. Powerful deities like Hades, Poseidon, Zeus, and Ares, the God of War, were all descendants of Cronus.

Because of Cronus’s tyrannical rule, which sparked dissatisfaction among the gods, Zeus allied with Hades, Poseidon, and other third-generation gods to defeat the second-generation Titans, sealing them all within the Abyss of Tartarus.

Upon entering the Abyss of Tartarus, Alex only felt an icy chill wash over his entire body. Immediately after, the Divinity within him emitted a gentle light, dispelling all the gloom.

Alex discovered that human vision completely lost its meaning here.

There was no light whatsoever. Even if the faintest ray of light were born here, it would be instantly and greedily devoured by the abyss.

This place was also a realm of absolute nothingness and chaos. There was no distinction between up, down, left, or right; no past or future; not even the concept of existence itself.

In Alex’s mind, the overlapping, eternal sighs of billions of deceased souls echoed continuously.

He could vaguely hear the agonizing wails of certain massive entities having their bones tightened and flesh crushed by eternal chains. These sounds were stretched, twisted, and played in reverse, forming an incomprehensible, mind-profaning symphony of madness.

Time became a deeper, incomprehensible whisper, resounding in Alex’s mind like the beating heart of the abyss.

Every vibration provoked the most primal, darkest instincts deep within his soul: madness, destruction, submission...

If Alex hadn’t possessed Divinity to protect him, the moment he stepped into the Abyss of Tartarus, his sanity would have been completely stripped away by the powers of depravity and chaos!

The Abyss of Tartarus was a forbidden zone for life; only gods could set foot here!

Fortunately, Alex did not lose his sense of direction. He had a clear target.
