Chapter 174: Chapter 87: The Power of God, Sea God Poseidon Appears! (Part 2)
In the world of Saint Seiya, aboard a luxury cruise ship currently traversing the international waters of the Atlantic, a magnificent banquet was in full swing.
Saori Kido, dressed in a flowing white gown, stood by the ship’s railing, gazing out at the pitch-black ocean. The sea resembled a ferocious beast, its waves crashing violently against the hull. Saori’s brow furrowed slightly; in her divine perception, Alex and the Aquarius Gold Cloth had once again vanished from her senses.
"Is it due to the unique nature of the Abyss of Tartarus?" she wondered.
Alex’s emergence had added countless variables to her meticulously planned Holy War. At this moment, Athena’s feelings toward him were a complex mixture of gratitude and apprehension. Without Alex, the five Bronze Saints would never have made it past the Ophiuchus Temple. Yet, because of him, the five "heroes" she had selected hadn’t grown to the heights she had originally envisioned.
With Hades’ resurrection imminent, the time remaining for her was dwindling rapidly.
A deep, melodic, and magnetic voice suddenly echoed from behind Saori.
"The enchanting Miss Saori Kido... I am Julian Solo, of the Solo family. I have been watching you for quite some time. Might I have the honor of a dance?"
Saori turned around to find a young man with long, ice-blue hair standing before her. He was nearly two meters tall, dressed in an impeccably tailored, sea-blue custom suit. His aura was extraordinary; even in the midst of a noisy banquet, he was the most radiant presence in the room. However, a certain cold, solitary air about him caused most guests to instinctively keep their distance.
Saori’s eyes flickered with a momentary daze before she shook her head politely. "My apologies, but I am not particularly fond of dancing."
"I see." Julian Solo didn’t push the matter. Instead, the corners of his mouth curled into a charming, effortless smile. "Then I have a proposal, Miss Saori. As the heir to the Kido family and the Chairperson of the Graude Foundation, would you be interested in an alliance through marriage? With the Solo family’s influence in global shipping, our union would undoubtedly create the greatest commercial empire the world has ever seen."
The Graude Foundation was Asia’s largest real estate and multi-industry conglomerate, possessing wealth that could rival nations. As the primary director, Saori had naturally inherited everything after the passing of her grandfather, Mitsumasa Kido.
The Solo Group, meanwhile, was the world’s premier shipping dynasty. As the sole heir to the "Ship King," Julian Solo was a constant fixture in the top three of the global billionaire rankings.
Saori was slightly taken aback. She was only fourteen years old; the talk of "marriage alliances" felt absurdly premature. She gave Julian another polite refusal.
"I’m sorry, but I have no intention of pursuing such an arrangement at this time."
Despite being rejected twice, Julian Solo showed no sign of irritation. He gave a slight, graceful bow and departed with effortless poise, prompting several nearby girls to erupt in envious whispers.
"Wow, that’s Julian Solo!"
"His bowtie clip alone is worth hundreds of thousands!"
"What does that purple-haired girl have that I don’t? Why didn’t he talk to me?"
Seiya and the other Bronze Saints, who had been covertly keeping watch over Saori, approached her. "Are you alright, Miss Saori?"
"I’m fine. You all go and enjoy yourselves," she replied softly. "Have a good time."
Saori had attended this maritime banquet specifically to confirm the status of Julian Solo’s awakening. From their brief interaction, it appeared Julian had not yet awakened his Poseidon godhead.
In terms of divine lineage, the Sea God Poseidon was technically her uncle. Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus were the three brothers of the primordial gods. During the Holy War thousands of years ago, Poseidon’s divine body had been destroyed, and his soul had been sealed within the Amphora of Athena.
If Poseidon were to fully reincarnate, his power would be no less formidable than that of Hades. However, according to Athena’s calculations, it should be at least another two hundred years before the Sea God could truly awaken.
Thinking of this, Saori felt a bit more at ease. Her gaze drifted back to the dark, churning surface of the ocean, lost in thought.
Meanwhile, Julian Solo returned to his luxurious suite. In truth, the entire vessel was the property of his family. As he opened the door, his eyes suddenly froze.
Floating in the very center of the room was a Golden Trident, radiating a boundless, terrifying divine power that commanded the very essence of the sea.
