Chapter 162: Chapter 81: Blood of the Goddess, Olympus! (Part 2)

If Alex were here, he would naturally know that at this upcoming banquet, Saori Kido would encounter Poseidon, the Emperor of the Sea, and subsequently be abducted by him, triggering the great war between the Saints and the Mariners.

But since Saori Kido had sent him away from the Sanctuary, he would no longer concern himself with her ensuing fate.

After assigning tasks to the remaining Gold Saints, Saori Kido began to walk outside.

"Saga, I leave the Sanctuary in your hands. Should you notice any anomalies, notify me at once, and I will rush back immediately!"

Saga’s gaze sank slightly. By doing this...

Saori Kido was clearly treating the five Bronze Saints as her trusted confidants, intending to keep them by her side at all times.

Meanwhile, they, the Gold Saints, were left to endure sparse food and clothing in the freezing Twelve Zodiac Temples until the moment they died in battle.

The last lingering sliver of hope Saga held for Athena in his heart was completely severed.

Alex was right. For this upcoming Holy War, they, the Gold Saints, had been completely abandoned by Saori Kido.

The main force of this Holy War would be the five Bronze Saints!

It was truly pathetic when one thought about it. As the strongest humans in the entire world, the daily lives of the Gold Saints were extremely austere. They ate simple meals, wore coarse linen clothes, and enjoyed no luxuries year-round.

Guarding the Twelve Zodiac Temples, their beds were nothing more than freezing stone slabs!

Watching Saori Kido leave so casually with the five Bronze Saints, the Pope’s Chamber fell into a deathly, profound silence.

Even the few Gold Saints strictly loyal to Athena couldn’t help but feel a trace of doubt welling up in their hearts.

Aiolia was the first to break the silence. He let out a scoffing laugh and started walking outside. As he stepped out of the Pope’s Chamber, he stretched lazily, as if trying to exhale all the pent-up frustration in his chest.

"It’s getting pretty late. Time to go back to sleep!"

The crowd finally snapped out of their daze, slowly filing out of the hall...

Camus, on the other hand, hurried back to the Aquarius Temple with a heart full of hope.

To his dismay, his pupils contracted sharply—the Aquarius Cloth Box had vanished without a trace.

In the spot where the Cloth Box had rested, only a line of text formed from ice crystals remained:

"Camus, I leave the Aquarius Temple to you. You can live here as long as you like. However, I have taken the Cloth. As a mature Aquarius Saint, you must learn to forge your own Cloth using ice crystals. If anyone questions why the color is off, you might consider painting it with some gold dust."

Camus clenched his fists tightly, squeezing a single name out through his gritted teeth.

"Alex..."

Meanwhile, Alex, carrying the Aquarius Cloth Box on his back, stood at the foot of the Olympus mountain range.

The setting sun dyed the high peaks a dark crimson. The shadows cast between the rocks resembled the claws and fangs of giant beasts, squirming slowly across the ground.

This mountain range located in northern Greece was known in Sanctuary mythology as Mount Olympus, the conduit connecting the mortal realm to the realm of the gods.

Gods, demigods, and their servants had all once lived here.

And the Abyss of Tartarus that Athena had spoken of, according to the Sanctuary’s ancient texts, was hidden within a karst cave at the foot of this very mountain range.

Alex stared at the cave entrance shrouded in darkness, a sharp glint flashing through his eyes.

’The reason for the Hydra’s resurrection? The hidden secrets of the Titan race’s suppression back then? What does any of that have to do with me...’

’You Olympian Gods were the ones who imprisoned them. Deal with it yourselves.’

Alex patted the Aquarius Cloth Box, feeling the mournful, low hum of his fated Cloth.

"Hold on a little longer, friend. Soon, you will be completely free..."
