Chapter 2359 - 2357: Lu Ye of the Human Race, Here to Challenge

  • Next Chapter

"Alright!" Lu Ye nodded. "Then I'll help you beat them back!"

He looked up at the Qing Palace ahead. "No time like the present. Bring the Qing Palace along too, so we don't have to come back for it later."

"Okay!" Yin Luo responded, flashing back into the Qing Palace.

Lu Ye also lengthened his stride, walking toward the Qing Palace together with Qing Yu and the others.

A short while later, under Yin Luo's control, the Qing Palace flew toward the direction of the Star Abyss Gate.

Yin Luo didn't have a care in the world, but Uncle Duan and Qing Yu and the others were all somewhat worried. Qing Yu might not be clear on the exact strength of that Twins Demon Race pair—her own strength wasn't enough to see through it; she only knew they were very strong and that Yin Luo was completely no match for them. But Uncle Duan understood very well.

So he couldn't figure out what exactly Lu Ye was planning.

Seizing a chance, he walked up beside Lu Ye, eyeing him suspiciously. "Young man, you do realize that in a challenge like this, my lady won't be able to lend you a hand. Those two from the Demon Race are twins in one body, so they can fight together, while you, in the end, are alone."

"I know. Uncle Duan, just rest easy." Lu Ye nodded with a smile.

The more he said that, the less at ease Uncle Duan felt. He couldn't help asking, "What's your current cultivation?"

"If we're talking cultivation level, 2nd Order Dao Fusion!"

Uncle Duan's eyes bulged; he almost spat blood. "You, a 2nd Order Dao Fusion, are going to challenge two Peak Dao Fusion? Are you out of your mind?"

Lu Ye chuckled. "Uncle Duan, sometimes cultivation is one thing, strength is another. Don't worry. Since I dare issue the challenge, naturally I'm sure of myself."

"This old man is not at ease!" Uncle Duan shook his head.

"Let's not talk about that. There's something I want to ask you." Lu Ye diverted the topic. He didn't take the upcoming battle to heart. With his current strength, if he still couldn't handle two Peak Dao Fusion, then he'd be failing all the vast Dao force he'd burned through recently.

"What do you want to know?" Uncle Duan asked.

"What's the situation over at the Star Abyss Gate? When you left, what level of living creatures could pass through?"

This was something he had to clarify; it concerned the stability of the stellar space and some arrangements to come.

Hearing him ask this, Uncle Duan's expression grew solemn. "The Star Abyss Gate of your stellar space is a bit abnormal."

"How is it abnormal?" Lu Ye frowned.

"Its passage capacity has expanded very quickly! When we left five years ago, it could already allow 4th Dao cultivators through."

Lu Ye was shocked.

This level of passage was indeed abnormal.

Because in just a few short years, the Star Abyss Gate shouldn't be able to let 4th Dao cultivators pass. If Lu Ye remembered correctly, over in the Cover Armor stellar space, from the moment the Star Abyss Gate appeared, for a full twenty years, Enter the Path living creatures were unable to pass; the ones who could walk through the Star Abyss Gate were all below Enter the Path. Those Star Abyss living creatures, though they could harness Dao force due to their growth environment, had no Dao Bone and didn't count as having Entered the Path.

By comparison, the development of passage capacity at this Star Abyss Gate was startlingly fast.

And that was five years ago. As for what level of cultivators can pass now, Uncle Duan had no idea.

This was bad. If it were merely capable of letting Enter the Path cultivators through, the stellar space might still have some power to resist. But if Dao Fusion could enter, then the stellar space would surely already be a charnel ground.

And this abnormality undoubtedly had to do with the stellar space having been invaded before.

Because it had been invaded in the past, the Star Abyss Gate's passage capacity had progressed very quickly.

He had to start making preparations on his side, fast!

He pried a bit more intelligence out of Uncle Duan.

When the Qing Palace passed by the drifting Banlan, that dazzling, multicolored miniature stellar space immediately drew the attention of Yin Luo, Qing Yu, and the others.

Lu Ye briefly explained Banlan's situation. The group listened, dumbstruck; they had never imagined there could be such a beautiful yet deadly existence in this world.

Then Lu Ye had Yin Luo steer the Qing Palace to move forward along with Banlan, while he himself returned to Banlan, found the Four Great Family Patriarchs, discussed matters, and settled some follow-up plans.

As for Lu Ye, the Four Great Family Patriarchs now supported him unconditionally. Although Lu Ye had never said it outright, in this period everyone had noticed: Lu Ye was very likely the Banlan master!

If their families wanted to live safely within Banlan, they couldn't do without Lu Ye's support. And in the future, when they left Banlan to advance to Dao Harmony, that too would have to go through Lu Ye.

So as long as Lu Ye's demands weren't too excessive, they wouldn't refuse.

A few days later, Lu Ye came out of Banlan.

A few days more, and the Star Abyss Gate loomed in the distance!

Standing on the steps of the Qing Palace, Lu Ye gazed from afar, his mood growing heavy.

Because while a large number of living creatures were still gathered near the Star Abyss Gate, their numbers clearly didn't add up.

This undoubtedly meant that quite a few Star Abyss living creatures had already invaded into the stellar space! These vanguard Star Abyss living creatures might not be very strong individually, but the overall strength of the cultivators in the stellar space wasn't high, and in numbers they were at an absolute disadvantage. Their only advantage was the terrain!

Lu Ye didn't know what the situation in the stellar space was right now. The problem he needed to solve first was helping Yin Luo regain control of the Star Abyss Gate.

"I'll go on ahead!" As Lu Ye's words fell, he had already swept out from the Qing Palace, flying straight toward the Star Abyss Gate.

Banlan drifting over made quite a stir, so many of the living creatures gathered near the Star Abyss Gate had already seen Banlan.

And with Lu Ye's movement, one pair of eyes after another quickly focused on him.

Lu Ye immediately saw two figures sitting cross-legged atop a massive meteorite!

One red, one green, as if painted over with ink-bright colors, extremely conspicuous. These should be that Twins Demon Race pair.

As Lu Ye saw them, the two also opened their eyes at the same time, seeing Lu Ye surging toward them like a rainbow of momentum.

They couldn't help but narrow their eyes slightly.

Of course they saw the Qing Palace behind Lu Ye; they were quite familiar with this short-stay palace. Yin Luo had challenged them repeatedly and been beaten back every time—if Yin Luo's strength weren't great enough, she'd likely be dead already.

Looked like, this time, the one coming was the helper Yin Luo had invited? Likely also a Peak Dao Fusion.

But they didn't care.

Both were Peak Dao Fusion, and they were twins in one body; the other party was alone. No matter what, he could not possibly beat them.

In the blink of an eye, Lu Ye was already standing not far before these two Demons. He spoke slowly, "In the name of the Will of the Star Abyss, Lu Ye of the human race comes to challenge you!"

The two Demons slowly rose. When they'd been sitting, their bearing hadn't seemed obvious, but once they stood, they truly seemed towering.

Each was three zhang tall. Aside from the difference in the color of their skin, the rest looked almost as if stamped from the same mold.

"Human race!" The Red Demon chuckled, looking Lu Ye up and down with interest. "Haven't seen a strong one from the human race in a long time. Are you sure… you want to challenge us?"
