Chapter 2346 - 2344: Faction Splitting

As the Winged Race rapidly retreated, a glimmer of blood light spread, and his heart sank, thinking to himself that things had gone wrong.

Sure enough, in the next moment, he fell into the Blood Sea, suddenly an overwhelming force surged from the front. He was caught off guard, screamed in surprise, and was already injured.

After sensing the opponent's true strength, the Winged Race's expression turned extremely grim.

He and many in Dao Fusion were summoned by the Star Abyss to come here several years ago.

Over such a long period, among all in Dao Fusion, he was the strongest. It was annoying enough that a crazy human race sword cultivator suddenly appeared a month ago.

Now, how could another Blood Race combat cultivator appear?

Since when did Peak Dao Fusion become so easy to encounter?

He knew he was in big trouble this time. His own strength was inferior, and now trapped in the Blood Sea, without assistance, he was doomed to die.

In this situation, he could only hope that the human race sword cultivator would sense something amiss and come to rescue him. After all, nominally, he was considered his subordinate.

But recalling the sword cultivator's previous attitude toward him, he felt such hope was a mere luxury.

The Blood Sea roiled, and the Winged Race struggled bitterly.

In the distance, in front of the unopened Star Abyss Gate, various expressions of the many in Dao Fusion watched, regardless of their strength. Anyone could see the difficult situation of the Winged Race. Those in Dao Fusion who usually had a close relationship with the Winged Race meant to rush to their aid, but without the sword cultivator's command, they dared not act rashly and could only watch helplessly.

Indeed, the sword cultivator did not care about the Winged Race's life or death, merely standing in place, watching with interest, as if enjoying a good show.

Until a certain moment, the Winged Race, bruised and battered, killed his way out of the Blood Sea, fleeing back hurriedly, his heart filled with lingering dread.

The Blood Sea receded, revealing the figure of the Blood Race combat cultivator alongside the golden-haired girl who always accompanied him.

"Fool!" The human race sword cultivator looked coldly at the fleeing Winged Race, mercilessly reprimanding.

The Winged Race lowered his gaze, seething with anger but dared not retort.

"I still have to take action myself. You useless lot, watch carefully!" After saying this, the sword cultivator transformed into sword light and swept towards the direction of the Blood Race combat cultivator.

The group of Dao Fusion immediately widened their eyes to observe.

After three breaths, they were already engaged in battle, intense and explosive scenes finally confirmed the suspicion among the many in Dao Fusion: that Blood Race combat cultivator was indeed also a Peak Dao Fusion, or he would not be evenly matched with the sword cultivator!

The intensity of this battle left the group of Dao Fusion in awe; such stakes were beyond their ability to casually intervene.

The Winged Race, burdened with grievances, gleamed with a spark in his eyes.

A half day later, the sword cultivator returned.

He did not win this fight but neither did he lose, battling fiercely with the combat cultivator, indeed a match made in heaven, each facing a worthy opponent, effectively ending in a draw.

But this battle seemed to ignite a fire in both Peak Dao Fusion combatants.

A few days later, the Blood Race combat cultivator returned after resting and recuperating, and the sword cultivator happily engaged him. Another earth-shattering battle broke out, yet again ending in a draw.

And after returning, the sword cultivator was in a foul mood, unleashing a tirade of abuse at the Winged Race and those few in Dao Fusion closer to him.

Days later, as the third battle between these two powerful combatants erupted, by the unopened Star Abyss Gate, the Winged Race suddenly raised his eyes, signaling to a few in Dao Fusion who had a good relationship with him, then under his leadership, these Dao Fusion promptly stood up and headed aside.

The remaining Dao Fusion exchanged puzzled looks, unable to fathom what the Winged Race and the others intended to do.

"Fellow Daoist, should we really seek refuge with that Blood Race combat cultivator?" asked a Demon Race member following the departing Winged Race.

The Winged Race replied, "Of course! I know what you're concerned about, but let me tell you, when I was trapped in the Blood Sea against the Blood Race, he could have killed me, but he didn't. He spared my life, just showing from this point, he is more suited to be the leader than the sword cultivator."

After narrowly surviving that day, he already had this idea.

The sword cultivator indeed had tremendous strength, but he's mentally unstable; if he remains under his command, who knows when he might go mad and kill him, by then, surely no one would speak up for him.

But the combat cultivator's actions revealed, this Blood Race understands the rules. The reason he didn't kill him that day wasn't that he couldn't, but rather to spare his life to help invade the stellar space.

It could be said, the combat cultivator was eyeing the position of the Star Abyss Gate's leader, in comparison, such a strong individual is certainly more worth relying on and seeking refuge with, rather than staying with the sword cultivator, living in constant fear.

Moreover, the sword cultivator's earlier actions have already divided all in Dao Fusion into two factions. He only managed to rally those few closer to him, as for the rest, he didn't even mention.

At this moment, as the human race sword cultivator and Blood Race combat cultivator are engaged in battle, it's a perfect opportunity for them to break away.

Looping around from afar, when the Winged Race led a few Dao Fusion back from another direction, the battle had already ended.

The Winged Race expanded his Mental Consciousness and soon found the presence of the Blood Race combat cultivator not far away.

Moments later, he led a few Dao Fusion to stand before this combat cultivator, stating their intentions.

"Oh? You wish to seek refuge with me?"

The Blood Race combat cultivator showed an expression of interest, but inside he was delighted. The plan… half done!

This Blood Race combat cultivator was, of course, Lu Ye. Disguising himself as a Blood Race member was no challenge for him, and as for the human race sword cultivator over there, it was naturally his doppelganger.

"Yes, and I hope Fellow Daoist won't mind." The Winged Race gazed at him seriously, not worried about any danger for themselves. If the other intended to kill, they wouldn't have let them go last time.

"That human race sword cultivator is quite powerful too. Why did you betray him?" Lu Ye deliberately showed a puzzled expression and asked.

The Winged Race sighed: "Although his strength is remarkable, it seems he has some issues with his mind, frequently resorting to fighting and abusing people, even killing them. Following him really doesn't provide any sense of security."

"I see," Lu Ye nodded, and not far beside him, Su Yan had her head low, her golden hair concealing her restrained smile.

"Since that's so, henceforth, you will follow me."

The Winged Race was overjoyed, and the other Dao Fusion cultivators hurriedly cupped their fists in salute: "Thank you, Fellow Daoist."

Meanwhile, on the other side, the doppelganger was in a rage, cursing non-stop, and those remaining Dao Fusion cultivators were as silent as cicadas in winter.

They truly didn't expect the Winged Race to turn to the Blood Race combat cultivator.

The key issue was, the Winged Race was somewhat unkind too. When they left, they didn't inform them of the situation. If they had explained, they surely would have left with them.

Even though the doppelganger has actually been quite decent to them these days, but as the Winged Race said, this guy has problems with his mind; there's no real sense of security alongside him. If there's a better option, they'd obviously go.

Yet the Winged Race didn't pull them along, which clearly showed resentment towards them.

However, they couldn't be blamed for this; the sword cultivator frequently shared Dao Bones with them, were they supposed to refuse? They would need the courage for that!

At this moment, facing the sword cultivator's Thunderbolt rage, no one dared to speak, fearing involvement.

On the floating land, Lu Ye and the Winged Race along with the Dao Fusion cultivators sat and discussed a grand strategy.

Su Yan was like a maid, standing behind him, completely still.

"That sword cultivator's strength is very formidable; it's not something I can manage alone." Lu Ye expressed with a solemn look.

The Winged Race said: "We can offer assistance, besides, the remaining Dao Fusion cultivators by his side might not be of one mind with him either. When Fellow Daoist rallies, surely some will defect, making such a significant event foreseeable."

Lu Ye shook his head and said: "Perhaps before today, but now that you have arrived, it's no longer feasible."

The Winged Race was puzzled: "Why is that?"

Lu Ye looked at him with a chuckle: "Those remaining Dao Fusion cultivators probably don't have a good rapport with you, do they? You didn't bring them along, regardless of the reasons, they have already taken offense by now. How could they possibly work together with you? They probably can't wait to get a chance to kill you!"

Upon hearing this, the Winged Race and the Dao Fusion cultivators all fell into deep thought.

After a brief period, the Winged Race nodded: "Fellow Daoist makes a valid point."

Not to mention, this time, they essentially abandoned those Dao Fusion cultivators. Right now, those few must be facing the sword cultivator's wrath, feeling frustrated and certainly holding a grudge against them.

Moreover, these past days the sword cultivator has indeed been fairly decent to them.

Silently marvelling, this Blood Race combat cultivator is far more insightful about human nature compared to the sword cultivator.

"Go subdue those who Enter the Path, tell them if they don't submit, they will perish!" Lu Ye commanded.

The Winged Race pondered briefly: "Fellow Daoist intends to use numerical advantage to solve this!"

"It's the simplest method," Lu Ye stated.

The Winged Race nodded: "Leave it to us."

Unlike the relatively small number of Dao Fusion cultivators, the number of those Entering the Path gathered here is tremendously large, usually left unrestrained, thus they have been in chaotic battles all along.

However, if led by Lu Ye, with the Winged Race and other Dao Fusion cultivators supporting, pulling together an army from those Entering the Path in a short time is achievable.

This army doesn't need to be highly powerful, just of substantial size, which naturally would attract more to join.

Because in this situation, not joining lacks competitiveness, and even for self-preservation, those idle individuals Entering the Path would be forced to make the right choice.

If the group Entering the Path can be unified, the sword cultivator would have no resistance left. Despite how easily he kills those Entering the Path, yielding huge results recently, because they are scattered, without cohesion. If those Entering the Path truly cohere into an army, even the sword cultivator's formidable strength would meet a tragic end.

As they say, the ants will bite the elephant to death.

This is a very simple rationale; it's not that the Winged Race and other Dao Fusion cultivators can't see it. But to accomplish it requires someone like Lu Ye, an exceptional Dao Fusion cultivator, to lead.

Even the Winged Race, at 9th Order Dao Fusion, lacks the qualification.

The Winged Race and a group of Dao Fusion cultivators quickly sprung into action. With them stepping in, it became simple. Anyone Entering the Path approached only had two options, join or die!
