Chapter 183: Chapter 171: A Huge Haul! Marvelous Insects of Heaven and Earth

Withered Bamboo Ancestor’s collection was incredibly rich. The hundred-zhang space within his Space Ring was mostly piled high with items. The first things to catch the eye were the Primordial Stones. Perhaps because the Cyan Profound Sect itself possessed a small Primordial Stone Vein, or simply due to Withered Bamboo Ancestor’s formidable strength, his Space Ring contained around two hundred thousand Low Grade Primordial Stones and over thirty thousand Middle Grade Primordial Stones. There were even a thousand Upper Grade Primordial Stones. It was an absolutely unprecedented harvest!

The value of the other resources was even greater. Hundreds of Jade Boxes of varying sizes sealed away all sorts of rare, plant-based Spiritual Objects. The old monsters of the Primordial Mansion Realm easily lived for centuries; in their spare time outside of Cultivation, almost all of them would study other Daos, such as Arrays, Alchemy, or Artifact Refining. Withered Bamboo Ancestor excelled in Alchemy, so it was no surprise that he had collected a vast amount of precious plant-based Spiritual Objects. At the back mountain of the Cyan Profound Sect, Qin Yu had also seen quite a few cultivated Spirit Fields.

Given how thoroughly the Insect Swarm had plundered the Wilderness Mountain Range, Qin Yu had a solid understanding of the value of such treasures. Any random item inside the Space Ring was a treasure on par with a thousand-year-old ginseng. There were also over a hundred bottles of various Elixirs, covering everything from Cultivation to healing injuries.

Next were the scriptures and Jade Scrolls. Though few in number—only twenty or so—none of them were ordinary. Anything worthy of being stored in a Jade Scroll was at least a Beta-level Technique. Qin Yu took a rough sweep and found that they included not only the Cyan Profound Sect’s Core Technique, the Beta-level Upper Grade *Wood Element Cyan Heaven Skill*, but also numerous profound Beta-level Secret Techniques. These included the *Hundred Generations of Life and Death Scripture*, the *Wood Array*, and the *Cyan Wood Pill Scripture*.

There were even several Inheritance Techniques from the Five Poison Sect! For instance, there was a Beta-level Low Grade Technique called the *Poisonous Scorpion Bone-Eroding Scripture*. Unlike the agility of the *Spirit Snake Shadow Poison Scripture*, this one pursued extreme power and destructive force. A practitioner would become like a heavily armored venomous scorpion—still as a mountain until they moved, at which point they would crush everything in their path.

He thought, "No wonder the Cyan Profound Sect also wants the Five Poison Sect’s inheritance!"

The Cultivation Techniques collected by the Cyan Profound Sect were quite a mixed bag, covering almost every conceivable field: Arrays, Elixirs, Artifact Refining, and even the Dao of Puppetry!

Beyond that were several Weapons. Sabers, swords, staffs, and whips—each was at least a Beta-level Treasure. However, Qin Yu wasn’t interested in any of them. Although these treasures were good, they couldn’t compare to the Dragon-slaying Saber bestowed by the Demon Suppression Bureau, and he had no intention of swapping it out.

After scanning through all the loot, Qin Yu quickly locked onto a few items that were conspicuously placed and obviously highly precious. Among them was a large cauldron emitting a strange medicinal fragrance, clearly an Alchemy Treasure. Then there were two Jade Boxes resting on a Jade Platform. One was cyan, the other black. Both were visibly extraordinary. With a thought, Qin Yu took the two Jade Boxes out.

The moment the cyan Jade Box was opened, a thick, inseparable wave of vitality mixed with a faint medicinal scent rushed out. Soft Spiritual Silkworm Silk lined the inside of the box, upon which rested a pale cyan Elixir the size of a baby’s fist.

"Is this... the Evergreen Pill?" Qin Tianfeng’s voice trembled slightly when he saw the Elixir. "This pill is refined using Thousand-Year Wood Heart Essence as the primary ingredient, supplemented by dozens of rare Spirit Grasses.

"Just this one pill is enough to extend one’s lifespan by sixty years.

"To think that Withered Bamboo Old Ghost actually had such Alchemy skills!"

He thought, "Extending a lifespan by sixty years!"

With a stir in his heart, Qin Yu closed the Jade Box and handed it directly to Qin Tianfeng. "Ancestor, this pill is exactly what you need."

This item was useless to him, but to Qin Tianfeng, whose lifespan was nearing its end, it was nothing short of a lifesaver. With a Primordial Mansion Realm Ancestor around, his parents would be much safer.

"Countless old monsters in the Primordial Mansion Realm would risk their lives for just this one Elixir," Qin Tianfeng said, taking a deep breath. He didn’t decline, though his hands trembled slightly as he accepted the Jade Box. He had accumulated many hidden injuries from his early years of fighting. If he took this Elixir, he would have a chance to fully recover, naturally extending his lifespan significantly—perhaps not by sixty years, but thirty or fifty was definitely possible.

"Ancestor, this is also your fortune! Perhaps you might even break through to the Myriad Phenomena Realm in the future," Qin Yu said with a smile.

Having an experienced Middle Stage Primordial Mansion Realm Ancestor holding down the fort during this critical period held immense significance for the Qin Family.

Finally, Qin Yu looked at the black Jade Box. Upon opening it, there was no dazzling treasure light inside. There were only nine crystal-clear, blood-red eggs the size of pigeon eggs, neatly sealed within a special piece of amber. Faint, dark golden patterns lined the insides of these eggs, giving anyone who looked at them a dizzying sensation.

"Living creatures?" Qin Yu looked at the nine blood-red eggs in amazement. "Ancestor, do you recognize these?"

Celestial Wind Ancestor put away the Evergreen Pill, barely managing to calm his emotions, and turned his gaze to the nine blood-red eggs. Frowning, he scrutinized them carefully. He even sent a sliver of Divine Thought into them. After a long while, he finally spoke, his tone filled with uncertainty.

"Normal living creatures cannot be stored inside a Space Ring, but insect eggs sealed in amber are an exception.

"I’ve never seen these things before, but I once read a *Record of Strange Insects*. It documented hundreds of unheard-of, bizarre insects with various forms and abilities.

"The eggs before us seem somewhat similar to an Exotic Insect mentioned in it called the ’Soul Devouring Spider.’

"However, I can’t be entirely sure," Qin Tianfeng said, stroking his beard.

"Soul Devouring Spider? Please enlighten me, Ancestor!" Qin Yu said.

"Legend has it that in ancient times, before our Human Race was even born, Divine Demons ran rampant in what was known as the Era of Divine Demon.

"Divine Demons were born with Great Divine Techniques.

"And between heaven and earth, apart from those Innate Divine Demons capable of moving mountains and filling seas, there were also countless unimaginable Exotic Beasts and Strange Insects born alongside them.

"This Soul Devouring Spider is one of them.

"Its greatest ability is to devour souls, making it the ultimate bane of Ghosts.

"Its invisible Soul Devouring Silk is exceptionally sinister. Once entangled, it is extremely difficult to break free, and the victim is ultimately eaten by it.

"Sects that excel in raising Gu Insects, like the Five Poison Sect, are especially fond of capturing this type of Exotic Insect to use as a lethal weapon."

Qin Yu’s heart skipped a beat. He thought, "Devouring souls!"

For a special lifeform like the Dominator of the Insect Swarm, ordinary methods could almost never kill him. However, that only applied to ordinary methods. If there were a Great Power with a Mastery in the Soul Dao, they could potentially subject him to Soul Destruction!

Special Units like the Soul Devouring Spider, which excelled at Soul Attacks, would play a crucial role for the Insect Swarm. If they ever encountered Cultivators skilled in Divine Soul Attacks, the swarm would have a way to defend themselves.

"This type of Exotic Insect is incredibly difficult to tame. Without a targeted method, they are impossible to control.

"Otherwise, Withered Bamboo Ancestor wouldn’t have just kept them stowed away. He would have refined and controlled them long ago to use as a life-saving trump card," Celestial Wind Ancestor cautioned. He could naturally see the excitement in Qin Yu’s eyes. After all, Qin Yu had mentioned that the Mother of Ten Thousand Worms could devour the bloodlines of various Exotic Beasts to breed offspring.

"Impossible to control?" Qin Yu chuckled softly. He wasn’t looking to control them!

As long as he had the Soul Devouring Spider eggs, he could parse their bloodline genes, and the Insect Swarm would naturally be able to breed them on a massive scale. The Insect Swarm could even parse the bloodline of the Dragon Race! The Profound Flood Dragon units within the swarm had already evolved more than once, yielding over a dozen variants of ’Dragon’ series units. He refused to believe that the Soul Devouring Spider would be harder to parse than a Dragon Race bloodline.

Instead of putting the eggs away, he handed them to a nearby Worker Insect, ordering it to carry them into the Leviathan. The Leviathan housed a Tier Three Insect Nest inside its body. Naturally, it possessed some ability to parse bloodlines.

"Thank you for clearing that up, Ancestor. This item will be of great use to me," Qin Yu said sincerely.

"It’s nothing. I’ve just lived a long time and know a bit more. It’s nothing compared to the Evergreen Pill you gave me," Qin Tianfeng said, waving his hand.

Qin Yu said no more, though he couldn’t help but marvel inwardly that murder and arson truly yielded the richest rewards. The treasures of just these two Primordial Mansion Realm Ancestors were already worth millions of Primordial Stones. Beyond that, massive amounts of treasures had been plundered from key locations like the Cyan Profound Sect’s Library Pavilion, Treasure Vault, and Alchemy Room.

Add in the small Primordial Stone Vein located underground, and they had struck it rich in one fell swoop! The total value was several times greater than the wealth of the entire Qin Family.

With these resources, spawning another three to five Leviathan Fleets would be a breeze. Once they absorbed this inheritance, the overall strength of the Insect Swarm would experience a qualitative leap, patching up their shortcomings in every aspect. Furthermore, with the massive collection of books from the Library Pavilion, the swarm’s understanding of this world would be elevated to a whole new level!

"Mother, take this Profound Chi Spring Mist Pendant. This treasure is useless to me, but it will serve as a fine Protective Treasure for you.

"And Father, take a look at these Beta-level Long Sabers and Treasure Armor to see if there’s anything you like.

"Elder Wenyuan, Elder Zhengyuan, and Elder Mo Heng, all of you take a look as well..."

As these thoughts ran through his mind, Qin Yu brought out some treasures and addressed the crowd. These items weren’t of much use to him.

Although they could be used to arm the Hive Guards or be sold for money, the elders had helped him quite a bit. Naturally, he wasn’t going to be stingy now; everyone present got a share. He even handed out Elixirs and the like to the Qin Clan Members who had joined the operation.

He didn’t need these kinds of things anyway! The speed at which he leveled up through the Insect Swarm’s feedback was far faster than popping pills.

Just as the Insect Swarm was cleaning up the battlefield, Qin Yu suddenly looked up into the distance.

"The people from the Demon Suppression Bureau are here."
