Royal Secret: I'm A Princess!
Chapter 1066: TEMPLE OF THE LIGHT GODDESS
NERO had always known that the high nobles of the Moonasterion Empire had always treated the Light Goddess with contempt.
Just as the Rosehearts were ostracized for being a matriarchal family, the high nobles didn’t like that the Light Goddess contributed more to saving the world from the Absolute Darkness than the Moon God.
Since Yule was the god who practically founded the empire, the high nobles since that era had done everything they could to erase the Light Goddess from history.
And it worked.
Moreover, it wasn’t just the high nobles of the empire who had wanted the traces of the Light Goddess gone.
"The cult that has been eliminating the royal princesses of the de Moonasterios has definitely worked with Helstor to get rid of the Light Goddess and her traces all this time," Nero said while staring at the empty spot in front of him. Yes, it was empty. But he could feel faint traces of divine power lingering there. "After all, it was the Light Goddess who defeated the Absolute Darkness in the past. But by eliminating the Light Goddess and her traces, they also succeeded in making sure that the Light Goddess wouldn’t have devoted followers."
"And the lack of devoted followers was what ultimately ’killed’ the Light Goddess," Princess Monik, who had been listening to Nero intently, added. "No High Priestesses and Saintesses were born to serve the Light Goddess as a result."
"But you’re here now, Noona!" Prince Skylus said cheerfully. "You’re the saintess of the Light Goddess."
"Yes, I am."
Nero looked over his shoulder. "Now, it’s time for you to show it to the world, Princess Monik— introduce yourself properly."
Princess Monik just smiled and nodded, and then the princess walked in front of them.
Nero was quite impressed.
She knows what she has to do, even if I don’t tell her.
Princess Monik stopped in the empty spot that Nero had been looking at earlier, and then she placed her little hands on the ground. "Lady Roxana, let’s play!"

SINCE Neoma had still some time to spare before fetching Lewis from the Pink Hellgate, she decided to hang out with her mother.
Plus, her mother said she was going to do her training, too.
It’s always fun to watch Mama Boss train.
But...
"What’s wrong, Mama Boss?" Neoma asked curiously when her mother just stared at Nydia, her rose-gold staff. "You can’t summon Genevieve?"
Genevieve was the goddess that Mama Boss would often summon during a fight.
But Mama Boss couldn’t summon the goddess completely, and she could only use a few of the goddess’ body parts. Like the eyes or the hands.
Genevieve is neither a major nor a minor goddess. But still a strong goddess.
"I summoned Genevieve when I fought the Ancient Devil last time," Mama Boss explained. "But the Ancient Devil blasted Genevieve’s hand. Ever since then, I couldn’t reach out to her."
"Is she dead?"
"Goddesses don’t die that easily. But she may have been infected by the Ancient Devil’s Malice."
"Oh, that’s too bad. Should I offer to heal her, Mama Boss?"
"No, don’t do that."
"But why not, Mama Boss? Genevieve helps you in your fight."
"Neoma, we all know why the gods and the goddesses want you. So, you can’t offer to heal a goddess for free. They might take advantage of you. Yes, Genevieve has been fighting by my side ever since I was young. But that doesn’t mean I trust her completely."
That made sense.
Still...
"I want you to be equipped with your best weapon when the war starts, Mama Boss."
"Don’t worry about me, Neoma. There are other gods that I can summon aside from Genevieve. Moreover, I’m sure Genevieve is already trying to heal herself. Gods don’t need our help."
"Are you sure, Mama Boss?"
"Yes, I am sure."
"Okay, then," Neoma said, shrugging. "Just let me know if you’ve changed your mind, Mama Boss. I’m always willing to help you."
"Alright," Mama Boss said, smiling. "Do you want to have a sparring with me, Neoma?"
"Sure, Mama Boss~"

NERO smirked when the environment changed.
The ghost town had completely disappeared.
In just the blink of an eye, he found himself inside what seemed like a spacious temple.
A huge statue of a woman with her eyes closed stood in the middle, draped with a robe that seemed to be made of light.
Needless to say, it was obviously the Goddess of Light.
"It’s Lady Roxana!" Princess Monik said excitedly while getting up. She then ran and hugged the statue. "Lady Roxana, it’s me! Monik! Do you remember me?"
"Noona, introduce me, too!" Prince Skylus said excitedly. "I want to meet Lady Roxana, too!"
While the kids were having fun talking to the statue...
"How did you know about this place, Your Imperial Majesty?" Dahlia, who was standing behind Nero, asked. "Did Princess Neoma tell you about this?"
"No," Nero asked, taking a step backward to stand next to Dahlia. "But Neoma did mention that in the Dead World, there was a temple of the Light Goddess. I asked her where it was, then I figured it should be here. This place was easy to find since I could sense the traces of divine power lingering in the air."
"Y-You’re amazing, sire."
Dahlia then took a step backward to stand behind him.
Nero sighed and took a step backward, too.
And when Dahlia tried to take another step backward.
"Stop," Nero said sternly. "You don’t have to stand behind me, Dahlia."
"B-But—"
Dahlia suddenly stopped talking when the entire place started shaking.
But the shaking wasn’t that hard.
It was as if the place was getting gently swayed.
Okay, what’s happening now?
"Nero Oppa!" Princess Monik called Nero, her eyes sparkling. The young saintess and the young prince were both hugging the statue. "Lady Roxana said she’d bless us!"
With what?
Before Nero could ask, ’rain’ suddenly fell from the ceiling.
Of course, the ’rain’ was made by divine power, not ’water.’
Oh.
