Chapter 875: Counting Sheep When You Can’t Sleep
Chapter 875: Chapter 875: Counting Sheep When You Can’t Sleep
Yang Cheng took off his coat and lay down beside Yu, thinking in his mind that once he coaxed this girl to sleep, he would quietly leave.
The bed was large, and though there was a small gap between them, Yu could still distinctly feel the heat radiating from Yang Cheng’s body.
Her heart was racing, her cheeks were flushed, but inside she felt utterly secure.
At that moment, Yang Cheng suddenly spoke, "Yu, actually, I wasn’t dreaming earlier; I entered an Illusion Realm and saw a woman dressed in a red dress."
Yu turned her head curiously to look at him, "What does the woman look like?"
"I couldn’t see clearly, only saw a side face that resembles you a lot."
Yu paused in surprise, then her eyebrows furrowed slightly, "Looks a lot like me? Could it be... my mom?"
Yang Cheng’s heart was stirred, "Your mother?"
Yu nodded slightly, with a touch of sadness in her voice, "My mom passed away when I was very young, and my impression of her has faded, but I often look at her photos. She looks a lot like me but is much prettier, and she smiles very gently."
"How did she pass away?"
Yu sighed and said, "Dad said that Mom was sickly from a young age, raised with care at home, and after she had me, her health worsened; she passed away within a few years."
Upon hearing this, Yang Cheng already had a suspicion. Yu’s mother was likely the previous host of the Rabbit Source Qi.
The Source Energy parasitized in her body for many years, eroded her vital essence, making her frail. After giving birth to Yu, the Source Energy transferred to Yu’s body, extracting a significant portion of her life force, leaving her in a depleted state, causing her to die within a few years.
"Why would you suddenly see her when my mom has been gone for so long?"
Yu was puzzled. If possible, she also wished to enter the Illusion Realm to catch a glimpse of her mother.
"Yu, do you have a photo of your mom?"
"Yes, I’ll get it for you."
Yu reached out from under the blanket and pulled out a beautifully bound photo album from the bedside cabinet.
Yang Cheng took it and opened it. The first photo showed a woman wearing a light-colored dress, her long hair draped over her shoulders, with a gentle smile on her lips, gentle eyes, and an elegant temperament, indeed resembling Yu by seventy percent, just a bit more mature and graceful.
Yang Cheng stared at the photo for a long time, the side face in the Illusion Realm slowly aligning with the woman in the photo.
It’s her!
He continued flipping through the album, his hands paused as he found a photo identical to scenes from the Illusion Realm, featuring a beautiful flower field, and the woman was wearing that red dress, with a headband on her head.
"When was this taken?"
Yang Cheng asked.
"Dad took it when he and Mom went on a trip, and Dad said that Mom was just pregnant then, very happy, so they captured this photo."
"Mom loved flowers the most; Dad planted many flowers in the garden, all of Mom’s favorite kinds. After Mom passed away, Dad has always cared for those flowers, never letting them wither."
The more Yu spoke, the sadder she felt. How wonderful it would be if Mom was still alive.
Seeing her red-rimmed eyes, a wave of compassion rose in Yang Cheng’s heart. He reached out and pulled her into an embrace, softly saying, "Don’t think too much, just sleep early."
"Brother Chen, can you still save me?"
Yu softly asked, a hint of worry in her beautiful eyes.
"Of course, I will definitely cure you."
Yang Cheng answered firmly.
A slight smile tugged at Yu’s lips, her eyes flickered with a sense of relief. She suddenly reached out, gently tracing Yang Cheng’s chest, her fingertips running over the deep and shallow scratches and kiss marks.
"Brother Chen, are these marks on you from Sister Feng?"
She asked curiously, her cheeks flushed.
Yang Cheng coughed awkwardly, "Kids shouldn’t ask about these things."
"I’m not a kid anymore; I’m already eighteen."
Yu pouted in displeasure.
"Still a kid in my eyes."
Yang Cheng reached out and pinched her cheek, its texture soft and delicate like an egg peeled.
Yu dodged his hand, lifted the blanket, and burrowed underneath, leaving only her sparkling eyes peeking out at him.
"Brother Chen, tell me about you and Sister Feng, is she your girlfriend?"
"Kind of."
Yang Cheng replied vaguely.
"But I heard you are married?"
This little girl’s interest in gossip was quite strong.
Yang Cheng simply came clean, "I have a wife, and I also have a girlfriend. They both know each other and don’t mind."
Yu was stunned for a moment, then blinked her eyes and asked in amazement, "So Brother Chen has many women?"
"Mm."
Yang Cheng readily admitted.
Yu was silent for a moment, then suddenly whispered, "Can I be included too?"
"What?"
Yang Cheng didn’t hear clearly.
"Nothing."
Yu buried her face in the blanket, her heartbeat drumming violently.
Yang Cheng looked at her ostrich-like posture, helplessly chuckled and didn’t pursue further.
Yu nestled in his embrace, closed her eyes.
Yang Cheng thought she was finally going to sleep, preparing to close his eyes and rest too. He suddenly felt a small hand gently brushing his chest, fingertips skimming along his skin, sparking tingling sensations.
"Yu?"
Yang Cheng looked down at the person in his arms.
Yu kept her eyes shut, eyelashes lightly fluttering, cheeks flushed, pretending to be asleep. Yet that little hand didn’t seem to intend to stop, growing bolder as it trailed down along his chest.
"Yu, stop messing around."
Yang Cheng seized her hand, a hint of hoarseness in his voice.
Yu opened her eyes; they were glittering with a mix of shyness and anxiety.
"Brother Chen, I... I can’t sleep."
"If you can’t sleep, count sheep."
Yang Cheng released her hand and pulled the blanket up.
Yu bit her lip and reached out again, this time faster and more accurately, directly venturing into his pants.
"Hiss..."
Yang Cheng inhaled sharply, this little girl was too bold.
"Brother Chen, I know we can’t do that tonight, but I can help you with my hands."
Yu’s voice was as soft as a mosquito, her cheeks blushing as if they might drip blood.
"You can do that?"
Yang Cheng was very surprised; he remembered the little girl was very innocent, a complete novice in the ways between men and women.
"I... I’ve watched... those little movies, and know how to help a man relieve himself."
Yu finished her sentence and buried her face in the blanket again, too embarrassed to look at him.
Yang Cheng stared wide-eyed, incredulously at the lump under the blanket.
This girl looked as pure as a Porcelain Doll, yet surprisingly enjoys watching those little movies?
"I just got bored when I was sick and looked it up online. If you’re in discomfort, I’ll make you feel better."
Yu plucked up courage to say this, her bright eyes sparkling.
Yang Cheng was torn between amusement and exasperation, "Are you sure you know how? This kind of thing requires skill too."
