Chapter 1020: Chapter 777: Movements of the Mysterious World (Part 2)
The Giant King raised his hand, calming the group of giants before slowly saying, "Do not be agitated; these abnormalities are quite normal. You can continue living in your original ways."
After the Giant King spoke these words, the other giants all showed expressions of understanding.
They stopped thinking about other matters and continued their revelry.
Meanwhile, the Giant King sat back on his throne and started to attune himself, wondering which world’s influence had caused such anomalies.
When the Giant King was sensing, he felt that familiar strength and suddenly widened his eyes in shock.
"It’s actually the world where those two people are from. This is bad; for me, it’s an unfortunate result."
He sensed it and knew the rules of the world. The later the opponent enters our world, the more power they will gain.
If he lets the opponent continue to resist like this, it could lead to a tremendously powerful enemy coming in.
A serious expression flashed through the Giant King’s eyes. He then took out a jade stone.
This world has many powerful forces, each strong enough to instill fear.
Among them, some are maverick, some fight alone.
But there are also alliances, and the Giant King belongs to the latter category of forming alliances.
They support each other, surviving in this world.
At this moment, the Giant King’s first thought was to seek those alliances and devise a plan.
Because he had offended the other party.
At that time, the other party had also clearly seen what he looked like. He knew well that if he waited for them to arrive, what awaited him might be a formidable enemy.
Thus, he must find a way to deal with the opposing party.
Seeking help from allies is far better than fighting alone.
As the Giant King communicated with this jade stone, his figure disappeared from this place.
The Giant Race continued their revelry here, except for the disappearing silhouette of the Giant King carried by a breeze.
At that moment, on a vast open ground,
a dozen figures were flickering.
As the Giant King descended from the sky, these figures all turned in unison to look at him.
Each figure exuded a powerful and suffocating aura.
They looked at the Giant King with a hint of doubt in their eyes,
One of the figures straightforwardly spoke, "The number of times an individual can initiate such a large-scale meeting is limited. For you to dare initiate it, there must be something important. Let’s hear it, what exactly is going on?"
When the figure said this, the Giant King took a deep breath and explained what he had sensed.
All the figures remained silent.
The figure who spoke first opened his mouth again, "We all sensed it too, and thought it might be some prodigious talent who discovered a way to counteract the world’s pull. We didn’t expect it to be your enemy."
"Giant King, you sure know how to find trouble for yourself, encountering such an enemy."
When these words were spoken, all figures looked at the Giant King with a hint of mockery in their eyes.
The Giant King took a deep breath, smiled wryly, and said, "I had no choice either. If you were in that situation, you would act too. After all, they are a great boon for us."
"You can laugh at me now, but you must help me. I might not stand a chance alone, especially since he has the support of the White Snake King."
"White Snake King is not alone either; he also has his alliance. At this rate, my force could be annihilated, and after I’ve developed my force for so long, it would be unbearable if it were destroyed."
These words plunged the scene into silence. No one spoke; they all remained silent.
They knew the Giant King was right: if the opponent really sought out the White Snake King and allied with him intending to deal with him, the Giant King might not withstand it.
However, some began to have their own thoughts.
Why should they help this Giant King?
Though they are an alliance, they each have their own interests.
If it’s a small matter or concerns the entire alliance, joining forces to tackle it is understandable.
But if this turns into a matter that only concerns the Giant King, then they may not need to assist.
Moreover, this big issue pertains only to the Giant King, why should they burden themselves?
The reasoning is simple. They’re all smart and understand it well.
The Giant King noted their expressions and knew what they were contemplating, a cold smile in his heart.
These fellows seem like allies, but in truth, they each harbor their own intentions; everyone in this world acts for their own benefit.
But this time he gathered them for a reason, and he has his justification to persuade them.
With this in mind, the Giant King took a deep breath and spoke slowly.
"Do you all believe this matter does not concern you? This kind of ’it’s none of my business’ approach is something I’ve practiced many times before too."
"But don’t forget the interconnectedness principle: if the White Snake King and I are at odds, his alliance will naturally oppose ours."
"Think about it, if this person joins the White Snake King’s camp, what result awaits us? It’s an easy guess, isn’t it?"
"If a powerful individual joins the enemy’s camp, won’t we be facing a formidable adversary?"
"So my invitation to you to deal with them isn’t just to save my own life, but to protect all of our lives."
Once these words were spoken, silence enveloped them again.
What the Giant King said was reasonable, but deciding was difficult, hence why none could respond instantly.
The Giant King continued, "I know you have plenty on your minds, but my method is simple. We only need to strike when those two are about to enter our world and kill them."
"While they might gain strong power boosts upon entry, bear in mind that initially obtaining such power, they may not fully control it, making them essentially weak when they arrive."
As these words landed, everyone fell into silence again.
They knew the Giant King was speaking truthfully, but no one wanted to be the first to step forward and agree to his proposal.
The Giant King, seeing the scene before him, realized things were nearly finalized.
Revealing all pros and cons had swayed their thoughts; only a spark was needed for a firm agreement.
With this understanding, the Giant King added the final touch.
"Friends, I know this all started because of me, and I’m not asking you to work for nothing, I will pay the corresponding price."
"Price? What price?" inquired the initial speaker, "You’ve piqued my interest; what price can you offer?"
The others looked at the Giant King with curiosity, wanting to know what price would compel them to take action.
The Giant King took a deep breath and said, "The price is simple. Half of the annual profits of the Giant Race will be offered to you all, for a duration of a century."
When these words settled, every person present raised their heads, looking at the Giant King with astonished eyes: "Did you mean what you just said?"
The Giant King nodded, saying, "Yes, every word is true."
All present immediately entered a silent reflection, with more and more surprise in their expressions.
The first speaker took a deep breath and was the first to express his stance.
"Very well, that’s a significant price, and I like it. In that case, I agree to ally with you to confront them together."
