Rise Online: Return of the Legendary Player

Chapter 603 Phase 2

The sun was shining brightly in the Los Angeles sky as the Staples Center, one of the city’s largest and most iconic stadiums, filled with anticipation.

The stands were already starting to fill up with excited fans, and the atmosphere was electric as everyone was eager to witness several of the tournament’s best archers face off in Stage 2.

Inside the stadium, the halls were packed with competitors, their teams and families, all preparing for the competition to come.

Klaus walked through the crowd, being recognized by some fans who greeted him enthusiastically. He, however, did not wish to be the center of attention this time. Today, he was just an eager spectator, curious to see how Max, Emma, Lara and Andrew would fare.

In the center of the stadium, a huge curved LED screen showed images of the competitors, highlights moments from phase 1 and the interviews with the department coordinators. The live feed captured the excitement of the event, and commentators on television discussed each competitor’s chances and made predictions for phase 2.

“We are about to see phase 2 of the most exciting archery competition ever!” the narrator said excitedly. “The archers in the special program have shown incredible performance so far, and there is no doubt that we will see impressive shots and plays as absurd as we saw in phase 1.”

“Absolutely, Peter!” agreed the commentator next to him. “Klaus Park was the big surprise in phase 1, and now I trust the New York archery department more than ever. If Lara Cavalcanti and Andrew A. McClelland are as skilled archers as he is, we will definitely have a show for everyone present here and at home watching us.”

“So, it’s going to be an intense battle to secure some spots in the grand final because we also have several talented competitors from other states!”

Meanwhile, online, social media was buzzing with comments about the competition. Hashtags like #BowChallenge and #Phase2 were among the most discussed topics. Fans were obviously rooting for their respective states and trying to predict the possible winners.

“Emma has been flawless so far in training!” commented one streamer on their live stream. “Also, she’s an archer in Rise Online. She definitely has incredible aim and impressive calm under pressure. I’m rooting for her!”

The fact that Emma is the Bloody Lily was already pretty well known, especially since she never hid it. In fact, she even used it to gain several modeling jobs and became very wealthy by achieving fame in both worlds.

While the discussions on the internet continued, Klaus watched the movement in the gym. He was wearing a cap and sunglasses so as not to disturb him, but the heat was fierce. He felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness as he watched his friends compete, remembering the thrill he himself had felt two days ago.

When the clock finally struck noon in the early afternoon, the lights in the entire gymnasium went out and the crowd cheered warmly, acknowledging that phase 2 was about to begin.

“Competitors, welcome to phase 2! In this first challenge, you will face the challenge of the ‘Fast Aim’! Each of you will have to hit as many moving targets as possible in a short period of time in a pre-defined area. However, it won’t be like simple target practice. Per round, ten competitors will compete at the same time for the same targets and whoever hits the most targets will receive the most points, consequently standing out in the table. Only the top 20 will go through.”

A structure with targets appeared in the arena and was, literally, an evolved version of the classic ‘Hit the Duck’ amusement park stand. Each of the moving targets had a different scoring value.

In the first round, there was no one Klaus knew, but the positioned competitors looked nervous, after all they were not used to competing for the same targets in their training. At that moment, Klaus smiled, crossing his arms and lifting his chin proudly, because a few hours ago, he had proposed a very similar game to Lara and Andrew, in order to train their hunting skills, so they wouldn’t be at a disadvantage in case there was a challenge similar to the golden animals challenge he faced.

Excitement filled the gymnasium as the Mira Veloz challenge began. The first competitors positioned themselves, ready to show their skills.

The audience was silent, eagerly awaiting the start of the competition.

The ten competitors of the first round received their bows and arrows, preparing for the challenge. The timer was started, and the targets began to move quickly in unpredictable trajectories. In the end, it wasn’t just an ordinary ‘Hit the Duck’, because the targets moved up and down unpredictably, as well as back and forth at high speed. Each participant had to react quickly to this scenario, but this served to excite the audience even more.

For Klaus, it was exciting to see how his friends, Lara and Andrew, would fare, but as he was in the final, it was crucial to see for himself how his other potential opponents would fare as well. It was a crucial time to gather information;

Lara was one of the first to compete in the next round. With her keen aim and sharp hunting skills, she demonstrated one accurate shot after another and proved to the world that she was a talented one. Her concentration and agility were impressive, and she hit several targets with high scores. The crowd cheered with each hit, and the energy in the gym was high.

The fact that she was Brazilian quickly spread as she came out on top of the leaderboard and within minutes she had a huge following on the internet.

Next, it was Andrew’s turn. He also proved to be very skilled, following the moving targets with dexterity and shooting his arrows with precision. His quick aim and agile reactions earned him a great score. It was evident that he had very well trained reflexes and his technique was almost flawless. However, Andrew was not the highlight of his round because Emma was competing for the same points.𝚘𝒱𝓁𝐞xt.𝓒𝚘𝑀
