Chapter 503 Ice Giant (Part 5)
Kaizen, determined to break up the fight between the ice giants, used his psychic powers to levitate into the air. He propelled himself several meters upward with a leap and then floated to head height of the two ice giants.
Despite this, Glacius and Grognar continued to exchange insults and blows, because Kaizen was as small compared to them as an insect could be to an ordinary human. That being the case, Kaizen raised his right hand and by snapping his fingers emitted a powerful psychic wave. A burst of purple energy emanated from him, creating an explosion of sound and aura.
Surprised by Kaizen’s sudden appearance, Glacius and Grognar froze in their movements and slowly turned their eyes to him, irritated.
“What the hell are you two doing? This exchange of insults and blows is part of a petty feud that is plaguing the entire region!” exclaimed Kaizen, his voice echoing authoritatively through the air.
“And who are you, being small and insolent?” growled Glacius, his voice filled with distrust. “How do you know our language?”
Kaizen kept his posture firm and answered confidently, “How I know how to speak your language does not matter. I am Kaizen, a Psyker.”
“A Psyker? Don’t talk garbage! Oh, he’s just a crazy nut! Go on, get out of here, we have a dispute to settle!” Grognar stated and prepared to deliver another blow to Glacius.
However, Kaizen extended his right hand forward and stopped Grognar’s fist. “I told you to stop. Come on, understand that I want to resolve this in a peaceful manner.”
“Being passive is not really Grognar’s way!” Grognar himself said and then blew in Kaizen’s direction, throwing him several meters backwards with his icy breath capable of generating a gale.
Kaizen whirled several times in the air, but quickly regained his balance.
“Glacius, you will be next!” roared Grognar, advancing toward the other giant with his sword raised. However, before he could deliver the blow, the floating mysterious figure appeared in the middle of the two ice giants once again.
Kaizen, who previously radiated a calm and serene aura in contrast to the fury and rivalry of the giants, was now rather angry. “I am tired of you two. If you won’t stop the easy way, that’s fine with me. I was really looking forward to it.”
So Kaizen pulled out of his inventory the Ragnarok Sword, a beautiful sword that glittered blindingly even in the dim Niflheim sunlight. So, without any fear, Kaizen brandished it forward, as a warning.
The ice giants stared at Kaizen with surprise and a hint of fear. They knew that the weapon in the small being’s hand was no ordinary weapon.
Glacius, the giant with bluish skin and ice armor, nevertheless stepped forward with a deafening roar. He raised his ice hammer above his head and delivered a powerful blow towards Kaizen.
With amazing agility, Kaizen deftly dodged the attack, gliding through the air and counterattacking with a precise slash towards Glacius’ chest.
The blade of the Ragnarok Sword met the ice armor and made a crack, causing extreme pain to the giant, who not only staggered backwards, but also grunted in pain.
Grognar, the giant with a more robust and muscular appearance, did not lag behind. He stepped forward with his ice sword, swinging it in a wide, slow arc, seeking to strike a devastating blow at Kaizen.
However, Kaizen, using and abusing his agility and sharp reflexes compared to ice giants, dodged Grognar’s blows easily. He took advantage of every gaping hole before his eyes to slice through the giant with sharp blows, leaving deep marks on his ice skin.
The battle continued with overwhelming intensity. Glacius’ powerful blows and Grognar’s brute strength tested Kaizen’s limits, but he stood firm, using his psychic powers to dodge the attacks, move majestically in the air, and counterattack with skill.
With each exchange of blows, the battlefield shook and trembled under the giants’ force. The icy earth shattered, the ice shattered, and a storm of wind and ice enveloped the entire region.
Kaizen, with his gleaming sword, continued to face the giants with bravery and determination, and his sword accompanied him, containing more and more of the giant’s movements with the crystals that grew on each of the wounds he created. His movements were quick and precise, while his psychic powers manifested in bursts of energy, throwing Glacius and Grognar backwards and making everything tremble with his steps.
Without giving the giants time to catch their breath, Kaizen advanced with renewed agility. He spun in the air, delivering sequential blows with the Ragnarok Sword, slicing through the icy air and hitting the ice giants with relentless force.
Grognar tried to counter with a horizontal strike from his ice sword, but Kaizen ducked quickly, avoiding the attack. In one agile movement, he slid across the frozen ground and launched himself in a surprising leap toward the giant’s knee.
While in the air, Kaizen reached out and concentrated the energy of <Psychokinesis> in the center of his right palm. Then, a burst of purple energy formed in his palm, glowing intensely. With one swift movement, he shot the blast toward Glacius, who was trying to get in his way.
Psychic energy hit Glacius’ chest, enveloping him in a purple aura. The ice giant was thrown backwards, crashing into a mountain wall and creating an impactful explosion, which caused an avalanche to happen.
Taking advantage of the giants’ moment of weakness, Kaizen hung onto Grognar’s knee crease and delivered swift blows. His sword cut masterfully as he used <Deep Cut>, leaving a trail of glowing wounds.
Grognar tried to defend himself by slapping his own leg, but the human jumped back, dodging and thus Grognar struck himself.
