Chapter 430 Pantheon Snake
When Kaizen heard the clash of his sword against the snake’s scales, he was shocked by the monster’s resistance.
The snake, on the other hand, seemed unfazed by the blow and lunged at Kaizen again. Immediately, the Psyker took a few steps back to better adjust the position of his blade for a more diagonal cut. As he prepared his sword, Kaizen watched carefully as the brown snake with glistening scales approached him quickly. He could smell the strong venom of the snake as it moved nimbly on the ground, coming dangerously close to him again.
Sword in hand, Kaizen did not move his feet until the moment was right, breathing deeply and concentrating on the movements of the creature before him. He knew he would have to be precise if he wanted to defeat the snake, and he was ready for the challenge.
As the snake prepared to strike, Kaizen deftly dodged, turning to the side and avoiding the attack. With a quick movement, he twisted the blade as he had imagined and launched his sword at the snake.
Again, the blade bounced off the surface of the scales, as if Kaizen had attacked a metal wall. The snake, for its part, took the opportunity to strike at Kaizen again as soon as he fell to the ground. The Psyker was able to dodge the strike again, but this time the snake was close enough to spit its venom in Kaizen’s direction.
Kaizen rolled to the side, but the venom hit his left arm, making him feel a sharp pain as it touched his skin. He knew he had to act quickly to avoid being paralyzed by the poison. So, with his left hand shaking, Kaizen held the sword tightly and prepared for a final attack that he would take minimally seriously this time. He knew that he had to be more aggressive this time, so he used a skill.
[Activating the skill ‘Deep Cut’].
With the skill activated, Kaizen felt a wave of energy travel through his body until it wrapped around the curved blade of his new prototype sword. He charged at the snake with impressive speed, unleashing a fierce strike at the snake’s head with his sword, causing the snake’s blood to gush everywhere.
This time, the sword blade seemed so light that Kaizen didn’t even have to use any force, as the <Deep Cut> caused cracks to appear on the surface of the scales, so the snake’s head was easily cut off.πΆππΏxt.πππͺ

The snake fell dead at Kaizen’s feet, who swung his sword and carefully cleaned it before returning it to the scabbard on his belt.
“That monster was a little more complicated than I thought… Alina wasn’t kidding when she said the creatures in this region were strong.” Kaizen said, wiping the sweat that was dripping down his forehead from the sweltering heat.
Since the Psyker was used to fighting epic and mythic creatures, he hadn’t expected that he couldn’t defeat a mutant creature with a single blow. However, Kaizen hadn’t even realized how impressive it was for a level 94 player to defeat a nearly level 200 mutant creature without using any skills, armor, or weapons to boost its attributes.
Kaizen looked at the snake’s corpse and wondered if there were more creatures like it in the area, after all, this one didn’t seem to be any special creature, and it was still giving him a lot of XP. With his sword in hand, Kaizen walked back up the path on the slopes of these mountains. He could feel the scorching heat of the sun on his skin, but the shadows of some rocks sometimes offered welcome relief. Still, the air was dry and oppressive, making it difficult to breathe.
The sounds they saw coming from the dark valleys between some mountains were deafening, like roaring and thundering at the same time. Flying monsters passed over Kaizen screaming, but they didn’t even dare to attack him, and that wasn’t the most annoying thing, as common insects like flies buzzed in the psyker’s ears. At one point, Kaizen could barely distinguish between the sounds of the animals and the sound of his own footsteps as he moved forward, sword in hand. He knew he had to be alert at all times, for he had no idea how many mutated creatures might be hiding.
As he advanced through the forest, Kaizen noticed more and more signs of monsters, such as broken rocks, tufts of hair, deep footprints in the ground, and scratches on the rocks. Soon, he saw the shadow of a huge creature moving above him in a more mountainous part of the forest. Kaizen immediately stopped running and hid. From the shadow and the sound it made as it moved, Kaizen could tell that this was not a monster like the others, for it was large and moved quickly.
Kaizen watched the shadow of the creature carefully as it moved along the path above him. He could not tell what species it belonged to, nor could he use <Analyzing Eye> on a mere shadow. However, his survival instincts told him that it was best to hide and use the opportunity to analyze the monster after it was distracted.
Suddenly, the creature stopped and sniffed the air as if searching for something. Kaizen shrank further into his hidden position, trying to make himself invisible. Still, he was curious, so he continued to look at the shadow of the creature, which had been indistinguishable before, but as the thing approached the edge of the ravine he was in, causing some sand fragments to fall on Kaizen, he could see that the creature was small in stature, but its body was long like that of a lizard, as was its tail and body shape. The head, however, was definitely not that of a lizard, as its jaw was shaped like a bird’s beak.
