Rise Online: Return of the Legendary Player

Chapter 390 Ryeis Versus Kaizen (Part 1)

The Valkyria Arena was a grand venue, with huge bleachers that accommodated hundreds of thousands of fans from all the nations of Midgard.

The seats were all filled, and the spectators were vibrating with the energy of the event.

Flags and banners from the three great human nations were scattered throughout the stadium, creating a colorful and festive atmosphere.

The fans were euphoric, jumping and shouting, eager to watch the first semi-final of the tournament. The excitement was contagious, and the crowd was divided between Kaizen fans and Ryeis fans, each expressing their support passionately.

In addition to the spectators present at the Valkyria Arena, the tournament was also being streamed live to millions of online viewers around the world, and the audience was even larger than the day before or at the start of the playoffs. Social media was filled with posts and comments about the battles, with fans sharing their excitement and opinions, creating heated discussions.

While the battle between Kaizen and Ryeis was yet to begin, the broadcast cameras were capturing the excitement of the viewers, showing close-ups of their expressions and screams.

The broadcast commentators were also excited, analyzing Kaizen and Ryeis’ previous fights, and excitedly theorizing about how each fighter was likely to act, also sharing their opinions about each fighter’s combat strategy in the previous rounds.

The screams of the crowd echoed through the stadium, creating an electrifying atmosphere, and the online viewers were also immersed with this atmosphere.

[guinosasuke_: I think Kaizen’s luck has finally run out now, because Ryeis is very strong!

gabrielCbonseca: What an analysis by the idiotic commentators! Kaizen has already shown a much wider range of skills than Ryeis!

emocalvo777: HAHAHA! This battle is going to be amazing!

skyedge: Kaizen has a Unique Class and so does Ryeis. This should definitely be a battle that no one should lose

itzLukeDRIP: Man, these pauses between fights are too long!

patrickgourmet: I don’t like Ryeis, he has 0 charisma in my opinion. Kaizen needs to win this no matter what it takes].𝑂𝗏𝑳xt.𝗇𝓔t

That being the case, when Kaizen and Ryeis finally met on the battlefield of the Valkyria Arena, a minute before the start of the battle was announced, all the spectators were silent, tense and waiting for them to say something.

The deafening silence made the tension in the air unbearable, with the crowd holding their breath in anticipation of the confrontation between these two formidable fighters.

The two stared at each other intensely, eye to eye, like predators about to begin their struggle for territorial dominance or prey.

Kaizen was calm and confident. His serene gaze was conveying a fierce determination, and his shining armor, with black details and twisted steel, glistened under the arena lights, giving him an imposing appearance.

Ryeis, on the other hand, was wide-eyed with rage, his face contorted into a fierce expression. He was dressed in dark armor, covered with scratches and signs of previous battles, evidencing his ferocity in fights. His long black hair was not messy, but he had a prominent scar on his face, which was a constant reminder of his dedication to becoming the best fighter in the tournament, which made him frightening.

Kaizen broke the silence, his firm voice echoing through the arena.

“Ryeis, are you ready to face defeat as well as your friend?” He said confidently with a challenging and teasing tone.

Ryeis growled in response, his anger evident in his words. “You were lucky last time, Kaizen. I have faith that Teshi took it easy on you and underestimated you, as well as gave you a chance to win when you shouldn’t have. But I’m going to show you who the real champion is, and by overcoming you, I’ll be able to say that I’ve overcome Teshi too!” He growled, advancing one step toward Kaizen, his posture aggressive.

Kaizen smiled wryly. “Luck? There is no such thing as luck in the arena, Ryeis. Only skill, determination, and adaptation.”

Ryeis clenched his fists. His eyes glowed with an intensity toward his tormentor.

“Let’s see then. Don’t expect me to take it easy on you, Kaizen. This will be a fight you will never forget! I am ruthless.”

Kaizen laughed wryly. “Ruthless? You can barely control your anger, Ryeis. It will only blind you.”

Ryeis growled in response, his eyes sparking with a mixture of anger and determination. “You talk too much, Kaizen. Let’s see if you’re as good as you say you are.”

Thus, the two fighters positioned themselves, ready to begin the battle.

The atmosphere was electrifying, with the anticipation of an epic confrontation between two titans of the tournament and Midgard. Adrenaline coursed through the veins of both as they prepared for the start of the fight that would decide who would advance to the tournament final. Kaizen and Ryeis’ eyes met one last time, sparks of rivalry flying between them. And then the signal to start the fight sounded, kicking off a show.

The fight began with Ryeis advancing with his imposing crystal sword, which glowed in the arena light. He launched a horizontal blow, aiming for Kaizen’s shoulder, who skillfully dodged back, using his seemingly ordinary sword to block the attack. The intermingling of the two blades threw both of them backwards, as neither was willing to open their guard to precipitate an attack now, and the two fighters assessed each other for a moment before resuming the offensive again with truculent onslaughts.

Kaizen raised his sword firmly amid the dash and attempted a diagonal blow toward Ryeis, who instinctively jumped back, avoiding the blow by a narrow margin. He retaliated against the Psyker’s boldness with another horizontal blow, but Kaizen deftly spun to the side, deflecting the attack and countering with a downward vertical slash.

Ryeis blocked the blow with his crystal sword, causing sparks to fly through the air, but Kaizen didn’t stop there. He seized the moment to launch a series of quick attacks, alternating his strength and direction of blows, pressuring Ryeis and testing his defense.
