Rise Online: Return of the Legendary Player

Chapter 334 [Calibrating Data...]

Kaizen glanced forward as he felt the pulse of the Watcher’s blink and saw a smile appear on the decrepit man’s face. It was as if he had foreseen everything that had just happened.

“You are good, the only ones who had the courage to come to this place…. I knew that one day people like you would come to free me,” the man said in a low, hoarse voice.

Korgrak, who was standing next to Kaizen, did not seem to have heard. She was worried and looked around, noticing the movements of the guards, who were now all blinking in unison in some kind of pattern.

“What’s going on?” she asked aloud, since the guards were not attacking directly.

Meanwhile, the mysterious man continued to mutter. “But you are not the only brave ones. There are other larger pieces in this maze, looking for the same thing as you.”๐’ช๐‘ฝ๐‹xt.๐—‡๐“”t

Kaizen, who was in the vanguard, looked at him in confusion. What is this guy talking about? Is this supposed to make sense?

The Metal Dragons knew that they couldn’t stay in this situation forever. Being surrounded by so many high-attack creatures was too dangerous, so Korgrak raised his hand and made dozens of light poles appear in the corridor, all pointing at several of the guards. At that moment, the guards stopped blinking and began to move toward the group of players in sync, as if preparing to attack and dodge Korgrak’s ability at the same time.

Korgrak stepped forward, annoyed, and closed her right hand so that her light spears began to stab at the moving Watchers, killing some but letting others escape.

At that moment, Kaizen realized that all these bizarre eye-shaped creatures had become much faster than before. So he decided to check their stats again.

[Creature: Guardian

Level: 70 | Attribute: Darkness | Nature: Mutant

HP: 600 | MP: 600

Attack: 130 | Defense: 60 | Speed: 80

Strength: 123 | Wisdom: 149 | Resistance: 30

Resistance to the spells of: Stun and Blind].

‘They’re getting stronger!? Kaizen thought, startled. He had never seen a type of creature that could evolve, at least not that fast. “Stop now, no more killing!” He shouted.

“What?!” Jeewok asked, incredulous at what Kaizen had just shouted. “And what are we supposed to do? Wait for them to attack us?”

Korgrak paused for a second, thanks to Kaizen’s warning, and widened his eyes when he saw the same difference in attribute numbers that he had noticed. “Kaizen, that’s right! They are getting stronger. Maybe because they are outnumbered, I don’t know. If we kill more, one of them will be too much of a problem for us to handle in such a small space!”

“What are we going to do?” Anfrid asked.

“We need to get out of here as soon as possible!” shouted Salles.

Kaizen thought quickly. He knew that they would not be able to fight so many Watchers at once. They needed a quick way out. Then he had an idea.

“Give me room, let me through. I have an ability that will help us escape,” Kaizen said, trying to convince everyone to get out of his way.

Korgrak moved a little to the side and the others stepped back to make room. Kaizen closed his eyes for a moment, concentrating on his <Telekinesis> ability.

“When I give the signal, you must break the man’s other chain and get past me.”

“Signal? What signal?” Jeewok inquired.

“You will know. Now stay behind me.”

Everyone immediately obeyed. They had already seen what Kaizen was capable of when he defeated the Forest Possession with ease, so they had no reason to doubt him now. The decrepit man frowned, however, because it seemed obvious to him that the black-robed, white-haired woman should take care of everything, since she seemed to be the most powerful person. Still, the man decided to take a closer look to understand why everyone was relying on this strange-looking boy.

As he watched the mass of the conglomerate of Guardians coming toward him, Kaizen didn’t even have to try to concentrate. The pressure on him did it for him.

Kaizen could feel the energy building inside of him, as if his own mana bar was euphoric at the thought of being fully utilized, only that feeling was actually adrenaline coursing through his body. When he opened his eyes again, his eyes were glowing with an intense purple light, and black rays were radiating from his skin. He raised his hands in the direction of the guards and stopped them all with an abrupt movement. For some reason, Kaizen felt different this time, his fingertips tingling, and a series of messages appeared on his screen.

[%$#@&!]

[Thanks to ti&$@ ‘Talen!#’, you have developed a ha$%! class ‘!$%ยจ&’].

His eyes widened at the error-filled messages.

[Do you want to disconnect from RISE ONLINE? YES/NO]

Kaizen obviously clicked NO and, finding all this strange, tried to disable the ability. He must have found a bug or something. However, he couldn’t deactivate <Telekinesis>, and the black beams around his right arm became even bigger and stronger, impossible to control. Everyone watching his back was terrified as the whole place began to shake violently, causing dust to fall from the ceiling and small cracks to appear on the walls, ceiling, and floor. In their vision, the monsters Kaizen was holding seemed to be moving back and forth in time, as if in a glitch.

The mysterious man watching all this could not believe what he was seeing. The aura around Kaizen was simply the most beautiful thing he had ever seen, and it made him grin from ear to ear.

The guards shouted in protest and tried to resist, but there was nothing they could do against the strength of Kaizen’s <Telekinesis>, only he himself was lost, not knowing what to do to control this power.
