Rise Online: Return of the Legendary Player

Chapter 325 Trading And Exchanging

Kaizen looked carefully at the description of the Capable Fury Spear, impressed by the quality of the weapon. “This is an excellent spear, Klank.”

Klank smiled with satisfaction at Kaizen’s reaction:

“I knew you would like it. I was looking forward to hearing your opinion.”

Kaizen smiled back. “It is indeed a very nice piece. Where did you get it? Don’t tell me you made it yourself.”

“No, of course I didn’t make it myself. I negotiated with a very skilled NPC merchant who said he got it on a high-level mission. He sold it for a high price, but I think it was worth it because I still got it for a price well below what I could find on the world market.”

Kaizen nodded, agreeing with Klank’s assessment. “Then you certainly made a good purchase. This spear is an epic-level weapon with very good attack and defense attributes. How much do you want to trade it for?”

“I intend to sell it for 30 or 40 thousand gold coins, after all, it is the best epic weapon I have ever seen. However, since you are a friend of mine, I can do it for 20,000. What do you think?”

“20,000 gold coins, right? Definitely not a bad price, but it’s pretty much all I have.” Kaizen said.

“If you have any items that impress me, we can include them in the transaction.” Klank suggested.

At that moment, Kaizen opened his inventory. He had dozens of items, and several of them were epic-level weapons or armor, since he could forge mutant-level items into epic-level ones. In addition, Kaizen had a lot of materials and monster drops that, while they could make a lot of money, he knew it would be best to try to forge them into an item to increase their value.

As Kaizen rolled down his list of items, something caught Klank’s eye.

“Hey, wait a second. Go back up a bit, where are the recently acquired items?” Klank asked.

Kaizen did as his colleague asked and went back to the top of the list, and what Klank saw made his eyes bug out. He then scratched his eyes to make sure what he saw was real.

“Man, you got drops of a dragon…!” He stared at Kaizen.

“AH! I forgot to tell you that part of the story. When I was in the Mage Tower, I faced an Ancestral Sea Dragon.”

Klank was completely shocked. Finding dragons in Rise Online was something that was extremely rare, and only a few players were ever lucky enough to find them, so the list of those who had killed them was even shorter.

“This is amazing, Klaus! And how did you manage to defeat it?” asked Klank, visibly excited.

Kaizen nodded, a modest smile on his face. “It was a tough fight, but I managed to defeat him by putting his head on a statue.”

Klank seemed even more impressed. “That’s impressive! I’ll buy a drop, no matter what it is, I can even lower the price of the spear for you.”

Kaizen thought for a moment. He knew that dragon drops were very valuable, and that just like when he sold the druid mount, there would probably be an auction to see who would get the item. However, these items were also rare and could be useful to him in the future. However, he didn’t have much time for such things lately, and a weapon like the Capable Fury Spear was all he wanted. After a moment, he finally made up his mind.

“All right, I will include a Dragon Drop in the negotiations, but I will be the one to choose which one it will be. Do you think we can come to an agreement like that?”

Klank nodded positively, understanding Kaizen’s situation. “Sure, we can come to a fair agreement for both of us. Let’s talk more about it.”

And so the two friends continued to negotiate the deal, arguing over which items to include and how much to pay. Eventually, they reached an agreement that satisfied both of them: Kaizen would provide two Dragon-level consumables and pay only one thousand gold coins. The items that Kaizen would provide would be the ‘Sea Dragon Heart’, a consumable item that could completely restore the user’s health, and the ‘Sea Dragon Soul’, an item that would allow the player to summon a sea dragon in spectral form to assist in battle for 15 seconds.

So Kaizen walked away with an epic new weapon and Klank walked away with some valuable dragon drops that could make a lot of money or not.

Kaizen felt satisfied with the negotiation, as he had obtained a powerful weapon and still managed to keep some dragon drops in his inventory. He knew that he could sell them for a considerable amount of gold coins, but he preferred to keep them for forging because they were of mythic rank, which meant that he could turn them into legendary items.

In addition, Kaizen couldn’t use this spear yet because he was level 70 and it required at least level 80, but he was confident that it wouldn’t be long before he could use it.
