272 Executor (Pt 2)
My heart thumped faster than it had ever done in any situation. The woman who emptily stared at me rang of bad news, but my body was still acclimating to the immense pressure I was feeling.
She had declared her intention to kill me, so there was no way I could dawdle any further.
“I shall commence now.” Her voice rang, and suddenly light particles formed around her hand to form a silver blade.
>SWISH<
With a light swing, the mysterious angel brandished her weapon, sending an overpowering wave of pure energy in my direction.
‘Shit! Move! Moveeeee!!!’
Forcefully willing myself to take action, I made it just in the nick of time, dashing away from the destructive burst of light that devastated the area around me.
>BOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!<
The area where I once stood became engulfed in destruction as the earth shattered and smoke arose to an unprecedented degree. The amount of destruction told me that had the strike reached me, I would have undoubtedly died.
Just what kind of creature was I facing? Where did she come from?
”Damnit! Lily!’ My eyes bulged the moment I realized that I had left someone in my rush to escape the Angel’s assault.
Using [Subspace] to quickly get rid of the smoke, I was met with surprise upon realizing that the girl I was worried about was shrouded in some form of golden light..
The entire ground around the orb in which Lily sat was destroyed. The floating orb glimmered marvelously, and Lily was still unconscious within it. Shock and confusion filled my mind concerning how this was able to occur.
“I have successfully separated you from an innocent Gifted. Nothing stands in my way any longer.” The angel lady whispered, readying her blade once again.
I gritted my teeth upon realizing that the goal of her earlier attack was to make me leave Lily’s side. It was quite the sly plan, but this woman clearly didn’t know me too well! I could easily return Lily to [Subspace] since she was registered as my property!
A grin formed on my face as I looked at my prize who was trapped in her golden cage.

‘What the fvck!!!’ My mind rang as I quickly looked at the angel who prepared another assault on me.
>SWOOOSH<
>SLASH!<
Two bladed strikes charged at me simultaneously, and it took all of my speed to evade them both.
The ground around me shattered and I took to the sky as I final resort. Thanks to eh Invisible Barrier serving as a platform to float on, I was able to regain my balance while glaring hatefully at the stranger.
She gave a calm expression, making me unable to sense even the slightest bit of her intentions other than the order to eliminate me.
“Shit!” I cursed while focusing my eyes to view what kind of creature she was.

A sharp sensation rang in my head the moment I was overwhelmed with the impossible display before me. The highest threat I had seen was merely three [Danger] signs, yet this one kept going on and on.
Not only did I stand no chance against this creature that hovered above me, but death was assured.
“Shit!” I had to escape.
Even if it meant leaving Lily here, it didn’t matter! My survival was the first priority!
Taking cognizance of all the Skills available to me, I used all of them to secure the best chance at survival and even equipped all my Grade 2 Treasures.
It was no understatement to say that my chances of living could use even the slightest increase in power. There was no chance of defeating her head-on, so the only thing I could do at the moment was run away!
>WHIOOOOSSSHHH!!!<
I sped off in a hurry, moving as fast as my legs could carry me. I was certain this was the fastest I had ever gone. With my Mana and multiple Skills boosting me, even my eyes had a difficult time catching up with my speed.
“You can’t escape.”
The woman’s voice suddenly sounded, as though in my head, and in the blink of an eye, I saw her directly in front of me.
Her arm lifted her blade and in a flash, she descended it to deal a fatal hit on me. It was at point-blank range! I couldn’t escape it.
>WHOOOOSHHH!!!<
Fortunately, my <Automatic Summon> Skill activated at that exact moment, and all my Grade 2 offensive weapons appeared, charging directly at the silver blade that was charging down at me.
>BOOOOOMMMMM!!!<
The impact sent me flying away as I crashed into the ground with a massive thud.
“Urgh!” I groaned in pain, completely grateful that I had such a useful Skill active. If it wasn’t for that, then…
“Pointless…” The Angel’s voice appeared again.
Staring wide-eyed at the ground, I saw my Grade 2 Weapons completely destroyed. They clanged in their shattered form, scattered on the floor like junk metal.
”N-no way…”
I couldn’t believe it. All my efforts and the reward for fighting so many Hobgoblins… all those weapons were gone in an instant.
>SHUUUUUU<
The broken weapons began fading, turning into Golden dust, most likely as a result of their Durability hitting zero.
One hit! One strike with that blade was all it took to completely pulverize my most prized treasures! What kind of opponent was this?
I couldn’t run. She would simply appear in front of me.
It was impossible to win in a fight. The System had clearly told me so.
The only thing I could do now… was probably negotiate, no, beg for my life.
“P-please can we talk t-this ou—”
Before I completed my sentence, the Angelic woman closed our distance again and gave a light slash.
I was still recoiling from the earlier damage I received thanks to the previous attack she gave, so even with all my strength put into dodging, I couldn’t completely evade her assault.
The results were devastating.
