<Duelist>
– The Thief whose specialty is based on combat. With quick movements and advanced combat prowess, a Duelist combines a Thief’s existing Skills and new ones to better suit their lust for danger and carnage.
<Assassin>
– One with the ways of stealth and precision. An assassin can not be easily deciphered, and their mastery over their weapons is top-tier. With increased agility and weapon mastery, they are unparalleled in sneak attacks.
<Vagabond>
– A collector of items and one who refuses to stay in a particular position for too long. Having great sensory perception, unimaginable fortitude, and a deep well of endurance, the Vagabond endures even the harshest of circumstances. Their persistence and indomitability make them extremely deadly
<Ninja>
– One with darkness, and the practitioner of the arts of shadows. Combining pure intellect and stealth, the Ninja develops countless techniques and uses ‘ninjutsu’ to completely outsmart and overwhelm the enemies. Supernatural abilities and deadly strikes are a Ninja’s way
<Recluse>
– Contrary to the Vagabond, a recluse prefers familiar territory. Able to detect enemies encroaching on your territory and defending it is the hallmark of a Recluse. Possessing both high sensory perception, intelligence, Nd control over their surrounding, they are able to completely overcome opponents on familiar ground..
<Trickster>
– The ways of a Trickster are sneaky and conniving, and what better way to do that than fooling both enemies and allies? Using extreme sharpness of mind, deduction, and tricks, the Trickster is all about fighting dirty! A versatile field, full of shamelessness and dishonor. Who dares walk this path?

Conflicted didn’t begin to explain the emotion I felt as I gazed upon the list, rereading it for what seemed like a billion times.
A wave of indecisiveness enveloped me as I felt a pressure I couldn’t explain. These Secondary Jobs were all good. I could think of a few that suited me perfectly. Unfortunately, I could only pick one!
Of course, from my memories of the Sacred Hall, I knew I would get the opportunity to select another Secondary Job down the line and could stack up their effects, but that wasn’t anytime soon. I needed something I could use now.
They all had their advantages and disadvantages. If I had to pick, I would either go for Assassin or Ninja, since they relied heavily on stealth, an element I really wanted. However, how certain was I that other Jobs didn’t have those?
I could also unlock <Stealth> or a similar Skill later on if my Primary Job ranked up. There was no need to pick something based on that choice alone.
“This is a little difficult…”
Biting my nails, I scanned through the panel once more. <Duelist> was a good idea for combat, but it wasn’t like I wanted to always fight my foes head-on. If there were more convenient means, I would go for that.
For example, my Mana Core Bombs!
<Recluse> seemed incredibly useful, but I didn’t have enough information concerning it. What were the conditions needed for establishing what could be called a ‘territory’? Was it something like a permanent residence with only a limited amount allowed? If so, that wouldn’t work for me since I would be on the move for most of my time in the Apocalypse.
Using this logic, I could go for <Vagabond> which seemed like a good choice for a traveler. I was most likely going to get extra [Subspace] Slots and some useful stuff for traveling and encountering enemies. But, it didn’t exactly seem to satisfy me.
‘I have enough Slots for now, anyway…’ I muttered, biting my nails harder.
After looking through the list, my eyes kept returning to the same place, but I was skeptical about it.
<Trickster>… it was oddly resonating with me.
I couldn’t deny the fact that out of all the options presented, this particular Secondary Job described me best. However, it was because of this I was being extra cautious in considering this.
Its descriptions were too vague, and I saw no real combat merit in it. It relied heavily on tricks, but there was only so much mere tricks could do when facing an overwhelming enemy. I needed a game-changing ability.
“Should I go for <Assasin> or <Ninja>, then?” I whispered, raising my wobbly hands to select my choice.
Somehow, hesitation seemed to grab my arms, causing them to go numb. I was wavering seriously. My eyes kept moving to the <Trickster> Job.
‘Tch… I should just get this over with!’
Steeling myself for what would come next, my fingers changed direction and descended to pick the <Trickster> Job that seemed to call for me.
I could just select another Secondary Job later on, anyway. There was no need to be so indecisive about things. I was never going to decide on anything if I kept myself from taking risks.
A ringing sound echoed in my head as soon as I made my choice.
