Chapter 467 - The Dying Dagger
Damien could see that the little king was very wary about getting too close to the sacred weapon, let alone entering beyond the stone door.
As the door opened up and the ethereal defense formation came down, Damien suddenly felt a slight pressure in front of him. If he was any weaker, he was sure he would have gotten pushed back.
He immediately activated his Undying Wrath ability, and the pressure immediately disappeared.
The little king noticed that Godnim's aura seemed to undergo a drastic change suddenly, but it wasn't too obvious since Damien only released his aura to protect himself from the pressure instinctively.
Valentina and Yuria remained unperturbed as well, but their eyes were immediately glued to something.
Damien saw a large hall but what caught his eyes was the dark crimson light in the middle of the hall about fifty meters from him.
The dark crimson light looked quite ominous and deadly, making even Damien stand frozen on the spot unconsciously. He looked closer and saw that it was a dagger surprisingly that was continuously emanating a dark crimson aura.
The little king was already sweating when he accidentally stepped one foot forward and immediately fell back.
"Please be careful...this sacred weapon could be quite dangerous if we get too close," The little king advised since he didn't want Godnim to endanger himself.
Damien nodded in acknowledgment and gestured at Valentina and Yuria to follow him behind closely.
With his Undying Wrath ability activated, his effective cultivation was already nearing the Middle Levels of the Sky Ethereal Realm!
Damien had no idea why but this ominous-looking dagger was making him feel like his chest was burning up under its presence. He tried to read its aura but was unable to gauge its strength or grade. It was a complete enigma.
He was slowly taking one step forward at a time when Luna suddenly said, "I can't believe it…"
"Believe what?" Damien asked in confusion, but he felt that it was no ordinary thing since there were only so many things a being like Luna could get surprised about.
"That dagger...it isn't of this world...or dimension to be exact...There is not a single trace of ethereal aura on it, but instead...it seems to have an aura similar to...yours! The nethereal energy in your ethereal core...I can't believe it...how could a weapon from the Nether dimension fall in this world?" Luna's tone contained her complete confusion, and she was puzzled seeing this sacred weapon.
Damien was also surprised as he never expected this weapon to not be of this dimension but from Anti-God's Nether dimension, which was said to be dying as per his words.
He also couldn't understand how a weapon from another dimension could fall here.
'No wonder I felt strange…' Damien felt that maybe the nethereal energy in his body resonated with the aura of the sacred dagger for a moment, making him feel a burning sensation in his chest.
"What is the grade of this dagger? I am unable to gauge it," Damien asked Luna to get an idea of how powerful this dagger from another dimension was. This was his first time seeing one, and he could barely make out the features of the dagger due to the dark crimson aura emanating from it.
Luna answered after a moment, "I am not sure...anything from the Nether dimension is built differently and works differently as well. However, if I have to make a comparison, this one looks quite ancient and powerful enough to rival false divinity-grade weapons. But this thing looks like it's going to fall apart any moment, and its aura is weakening slowly as time passes. I bet by tomorrow, its power would fall even more to become equivalent to a Prime grade ethereal weapon."
Damien felt his nerves tingle in excitement upon hearing that this was a weapon comparable to a false divinity-grade weapon!
But he had a question in mind, "Wait a second...what do you mean by saying it's going to fall apart? How could a weapon as powerful as that simply fall apart on its own?" Damien knew that unlike the weapons of the world in his past life, ethereal weapons had way longer longevity, even the weakest ones.
So how could a sacred weapon like this easily fall apart without anyone trying to destroy it?
"Damien...I think that's a Spirit Weapon!" Yuria suddenly commented through mental transmission. Since she was an expert in forging weapons, especially Spirit Weapons, with the help of her unique soul, she was easily able to feel it and understand that this was the most powerful Spirit Weapon she had ever come upon.
She could only imagine the
"A spirit weapon?" Damien didn't know if he should be surprised or not, but then he realized that a special dagger like this should obviously have a soul too.
"Well, I can't blame you for being ignorant, but that is a Spirit Weapon like your woman said. And its soul is about to disintegrate. By the looks of it, its soul already got injured millions and millions of years ago to the point I can't exactly calculate with my current abilities. Anyway, it's too old, and I am surprised that even with such a fatal injury to its soul, it was able to last this long while losing its power gradually over the years. Maybe its true power should be quite different from what we are seeing here. This is definitely no ordinary weapon, trust me," Luna remarked with a certain awe in her voice.
"You know what...try and get closer to it...I bet the nethereal energy in your body could come in handy when dealing with this weapon. Since its soul is in such a fragile state, I am sure it would do anything to empower itself from a source possessing nethereal energy," Luna continued in a fascinated tone.
But Damien had a stupefied expression as he asked, "Wait a sec....what if that thing devours me?"
