Chapter 411 - Nurturing A Spirit Weapon
Damien felt as if he was literally receiving tips from the mother on how to look after her baby since this felt no different than taking care of one.
Still, he was astonished to hear that Moonblade could become stronger just like other living beings and couldn't help but wonder how powerful she could get.
He was also looking forward to nurturing this beautiful-looking dagger to a powerful dagger one day and see how terrifying Spirit Weapons could be.
"So, I can store this away in my spatial ring, right? Or are there some instructions regarding storing her away?" Damien was feeling it strange to address his new dagger as a 'her', but still, to respect Yuria's hard work and creation, he decided to adopt her mindset and see whether he would gain a new perspective.
Yuria's lips parted, but after a few moments of hesitation, she said, "It's actually best for her if you carry her around with you so that she could get accustomed to you and the world. She needs to learn things after all and know who all are the important people in your life so that she can look out for them in the future as well. But...since she is so fragile now, it would be wise to keep her safe till she gets stronger if you are constantly involved in dangerous situations. Otherwise, feel free to carry her around with care. But don't worry, unlike us, Spirit Weapons become powerful way faster since they are made differently from us and work in a different way."
Yuria knew that Damien had dangerous goals to fulfill, so she had no idea if he constantly involved himself in dangerous situations and so couldn't help but advise him.
Damien looked at Moonblade, who didn't seem to be struggling too much anymore and had no idea if she got tired or if she was getting used to him already.
Still, hearing Yuria's advice, he couldn't help but get very conscious of protecting his dagger and thought of storing it somewhere safe at first.
King Krisen saw the concerned expression on Damien's face and said casually, "You don't have to really be too concerned but just make sure that you store that dagger away whenever you are in some dangerous situation. Other than that, it is okay to keep Moonblade with you always."
Damien awkwardly smiled, realizing that he was thinking too much about it, and nodded, "Thank you, Your Majesty. I will be sure to follow your advice."
Damien wasn't worried about the Gale Emperor or anyone of similar status coveting for this dagger since he knew they had far more powerful Spirit Weapons with them and wouldn't pay mind to Moonblade, who was only at the Initial Ethereal Realm.
After all, the Spirit Weapons they had were already many centuries old and had achieved a terrifying level of power, according to the rumors.
And this fact only made Damien warier about not only the Gale Empire but the other two powerful empires as well, not knowing what kind of terrifying secrets they were hiding.
He could only hope the Forsaken had a powerful Spirit Weapon or something equivalently powerful to stand a chance at taking down the Xeton Empire.
The three chatted for a while before Damien took his leave after announcing that he would be staying for an additional week in the Krisen Kingdom so that when the world hears that Tristen is planning to have Yuria as his fiance, they would think that the two fell in love within a week which would seem normal rather than within a day.
Of course, Damien wasn't planning on having any public ceremonies or officially marrying Yuria as Tristen. He was only trying to buy time by declaring her as Tristen's fiance in the name so that the Gale Emperor wouldn't be suspicious and would instead bestow him with the crown prince title.
Yuria knew it was all just a make-believe, and nor did she have to involve herself with Tristen in anything other than showing her face in the imperial capital just to show that she was seriously considering Tristen, and so she was comfortable with it.
However, King Krisen at first wasn't comfortable with it since he was afraid Yuria's name might get besmirched by letting the public know she was going to be the fiance of a debauched prince even though he knew that Damien was the one controlling the dead Tristen.
Still, he took comfort in the fact that after everything was taken care of, he could reveal that Yuria was only playing along for her kingdom and have her officially engaged with Damien, who he believed would be a famous figure by that time.
He could see how talented and special Damien was and didn't need to think much to know how much potential he had to shake the world.
Damien returned to his guest residence, and after getting back to his own body, he woke up to see Valentina still staying up on the bed with his head on her soft thighs.
Valentina, who had her eyes closed to cultivate, immediately noticed Damien waking up and opened her eyes in excitement, "Damien!"
Damien happily hugged her velvety waist as she hugged his neck and asked with a petulant look, "What took you so long? Were you having fun with Yuria?"
"Ahem...of course, not. I only had some chat with her since it has been a long time since I saw her and...I have something special to show you," Damien said in a cheery tone as he got up and showed her Moonblade.
After explaining what it was to her, Valentina's eyes sparkled as she held the wriggling dagger in her hand, which again was trying to get out of her hand.
Valentina didn't try to apply too much pressure since she took Damien's instructions seriously and was fascinated by learning that this kind of weapon indeed existed.
"So she is called Moonblade?" Valentina asked with a smile as she continued to inspect the dagger very curiously all over.
The dagger was constantly wriggling as if it was afraid of Valentina, but she caressed the blade and said, "It's fine...I won't hurt you."
The dagger suddenly stopped wiggling and stood up on her hand as if it was looking at her before falling on her palm as if it decided to take a rest.
"Do you want her?" Damien asked, seeing how Valentina was getting along well with Moonblade.
