Si Jiawen stopped in her tracks, shot him a look over her shoulder, and scoffed, "Hmph. If you really lost something, I’ll pay you back tenfold!"

Yang Jing shook his head helplessly. He knew his Senior Sister had always been impatient, so he said no more and quickened his pace, following Si Jiawen toward the summit of Lingxi Peak.

Before long, the two arrived before the Lingxi Great Hall.

The two disciples guarding the entrance saw Si Jiawen and Yang Jing approach and hurriedly bowed in greeting.

One of the disciples hurried into the hall to announce them. He returned a moment later, made a welcoming gesture, and said respectfully, "Senior Sister, Senior Brother Yang, please enter."

Yang Jing composed himself and followed Si Jiawen into the Lingxi Great Hall.

The light inside the hall was cool, and sandalwood incense wafted through the air.

Bai Bing, dressed in white, sat upon a meditation cushion at the head of the hall. Her black hair cascaded down like a waterfall, and a faint chill emanated from her body.

Yang Jing dared not be disrespectful. He quickly stepped forward, bowed, and said, "Disciple Yang Jing pays his respects to Master."

Bai Bing slowly raised her eyes. Her gaze fell upon him, her cool voice devoid of any emotion. "Rise."

She then turned to Si Jiawen, who was standing beside Yang Jing, and said flatly, "Jia Wen, you may return to your training."

Si Jiawen was slightly taken aback. She was surprised that her master would have Yang Jing stay behind alone, but she recovered quickly, bowing as she replied, "Yes, Master. This disciple will take her leave."

With that, she turned and tiptoed out of the Lingxi Great Hall, making sure to gently pull the doors closed behind her.

Yang Jing stood in the hall with his hands at his sides, his mind filled with doubt. ’He couldn’t fathom why his master had suddenly asked him to stay behind.’

Bai Bing’s gaze fell upon him, her eyes cool and her voice flat. "Since you became my disciple, I have not yet personally guided your training. I happen to have some rare free time tonight, so I will resolve some of your doubts. Have you encountered any difficulties in your recent training?"

Yang Jing was stunned at first, but his face soon filled with an unconcealable, pleasant surprise.

He never expected his master had summoned him for personal instruction. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Recently, he had been completely engrossed in practicing the Three True Skills: the Mountain-Breaking Seal, the Indestructible True Skill, and the newly acquired River-Crossing Step.

Although his progress wasn’t slow, thanks to the help of the Training Room and the Bone Marrow Tempering Pills, he was ultimately fumbling forward on his own. In many areas, he felt he was just going through the motions without true understanding.

This was especially true for the finer details of the martial arts, like the precise control of Inner Qi, which he had yet to fully grasp.

Yang Jing immediately bowed again and said respectfully, "Thank you, Master!"

Bai Bing nodded slightly, her fingertips gently stroking a small booklet on her lap. "If you have any questions," she said indifferently, "ask them now."

Not daring to delay, Yang Jing composed himself and began to list the problems he had encountered with the Mountain-Breaking Seal and the Indestructible True Skill.

From minor issues, like forks in the pathways of Inner Qi flowing through his meridians, to major ones, like the practical application of martial arts stances, these were all points he had long struggled to comprehend.

Bai Bing listened attentively, occasionally interrupting to ask for clarification on a key detail or two.

When Yang Jing had finished, she began to speak, addressing each of his questions one by one.

Her voice was cool, yet every word was a gem. Obscure and difficult martial arts principles, after just a few words of her guidance, became as clear as if the clouds had parted to reveal the sun.

This session of questions and answers, of clearing doubts and dispelling confusion, lasted for more than an hour.

Yang Jing listened with rapt attention, nodding from time to time. The confusion in his eyes gradually faded, replaced by an ever-brightening gleam.

Yang Jing was also surprised by his master’s reaction.

Since he had no intention of hiding his strength, he had naturally laid bare all the problems he had encountered in his training when asking for her guidance.

’Yet when his master learned that he had also cultivated the Indestructible True Skill to the Qi Eating Realm, she had no reaction at all, as if she already knew.’

Yang Jing didn’t know if his master had known all along, or if her self-control was simply so profound that her emotions never showed on her face.

After Yang Jing had finished asking all his questions about the Mountain-Breaking Seal and the Indestructible True Skill, Bai Bing suddenly raised an eyebrow and asked casually, "Do you have no questions about the River-Crossing Step?"

Yang Jing’s heart skipped a beat.

He had only recently acquired the River-Crossing Step from the Talent Pavilion and had never displayed it in front of anyone. He never imagined that his master would even know about it.

He was dazed for a moment. ’Has she been paying special attention to me, or does she, as Peak Master, just have the authority to know everything her disciples are up to?’

However, Yang Jing had no intention of hiding the fact that he was practicing the River-Crossing Step.

After all, his goal was to take first place in the Fushan competition. To have any chance of defeating Chu Yunhai and the others, he would have to use all Three True Skills, so there was no way to hide it.

He composed himself and answered truthfully, "Master, I have only been practicing the River-Crossing Step for a short time. And after breaking through to the Qi Eating Realm with the Mountain-Breaking Seal and the Indestructible True Skill, returning to practice this Body Technique gave me a sort of top-down perspective. I’ve encountered far fewer difficulties with it than with the other two."

Despite this, Yang Jing still brought up a few minor problems he had encountered with the Body Technique aspects of the River-Crossing Step.

Bai Bing remained patient and answered each question. She even personally demonstrated several key footwork transitions, her movements as nimble as a butterfly, leaving Yang Jing dazzled and deeply impressed.

When Bai Bing finished her explanation, Yang Jing felt a sudden sense of complete understanding.

All the points that had felt stagnant during his practice now seemed completely clear and unobstructed.
