While her actions might be seen as a bit underhanded, if Xia Jiajiao hadn’t had Xia Zhengguang buy her way into the project group and had instead earned her spot fairly, there would be no scheme to pull off in the first place.

It just goes to show, if you want to coast through school just to pad your resume, you still need a bit of actual talent.

Otherwise, you end up in the most awkward situation imaginable, just like Xia Jiajiao—her family suddenly went bankrupt, and all her financial backing vanished.

"Goddess Yun, I get it now! Thank you for the guidance!"

With that, the girl quickly grabbed her phone to contact her upperclassman, sending her a collection of screenshots with everything she had just found.

As for what the upperclassman did with that information, that was out of her hands.

’After being tormented by Xia Jiajiao for so long, I’m sure that upperclassman will be more than ready to act, right?’

Just as they finished their chat, Qin Sitong finished handing out breakfast and quickly ate her own.

Mere seconds after Qin Sitong finished her breakfast, the class bell rang. The lecturer walked into the classroom right as it sounded.

You had to admit, the timing was perfect.

Today’s class wasn’t a particularly important core course, but Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong had no intention of slacking off.

After all, the professor had surely prepared the lesson diligently, and it would be disrespectful to space out during class.

The two back-to-back periods, a total of 90 minutes with a 10-minute break in between, seemed to fly by when they were paying attention.

When the bell rang to end class, Yun Zijin felt as if no time had passed at all.

"Tongtong, I have to take care of something first, so I’m heading to Lu’s Sanatorium. As for the branch store renovations, let’s go check on them together after I get back to the shop."

’The sooner I give Lu Yunzhou his acupuncture treatment, the better. Checking on the renovation progress would just have to wait.’

"It’s fine. If I go any later, the customers waiting for their Wangyou Milk Tea at the shop will start complaining to me.

By the time you’re finished, I’ll probably be sold out of Wangyou Milk Tea for the day anyway."

However, Qin Sitong was already training a store manager who would eventually take her place making the Wangyou Milk Tea.

All of the employees had been performing very well since they started, but each had a different work style. Qin Sitong was currently trying to decide who would be the best fit for the manager position.

"Then I’ll drop you off at the shop first before I head to Lu’s Sanatorium. Don’t worry, it’s on the way."

The Wangyou Milk Tea Shop wasn’t far from Dijing University, so Yun Zijin certainly had enough time for that.

"But if you’re going to be stationed at the branch store, you’ll probably need to buy a car."

There are no bus or subway stations very close to the Xinghua Street location. The nearest ones are still about a kilometer away, which is a considerable walk.

"I know. I’ve already started looking."

’But her budget was limited. Finding something cheap, comfortable, and stylish would require some careful searching.’

"If you haven’t bought a car by the time the branch store opens, just pick one from my garage. I have plenty of cars I haven’t driven in ages just sitting there."

Because the "Randomly Spend" luxury van was so comfortable, Yun Zijin had Zero One drive the vehicle awarded by the app all the time.

As a result, her other cars were completely neglected, left to gather dust in the garage.

Only someone like Yun Zijin would do that. Anyone else with a collection of limited-edition supercars would have flooded the internet with photos and videos, showing them off.

"No, I’d better not. Even your cheapest car costs over a million, and my entire savings don’t even add up to that. If I scratched or dented it, I couldn’t afford the repairs even if you sold me."

While Qin Sitong could accept Yun Zijin’s help in improving her financial situation, she wasn’t so presumptuous as to drive one of her friend’s multi-million-yuan cars.

"I wouldn’t make you pay for it. It’s just a car, a tool for getting around, that’s all. If you don’t overthink it, you’ll see it’s nothing special."

’The value of those limited-edition luxury cars is just a fabrication of marketing departments. If you don’t let the advertisements brainwash you, then even the most expensive car is just a way to get from A to B.

Just like other luxury goods, the price markups on those high-end cars and supercars are outrageous.’

"You’re probably the only person who thinks that way. No one else would see it like that."

’Only someone who has reached a certain level of power and wealth is qualified to have a mindset like Yun Zijin’s.

In any case, Qin Sitong couldn’t relate. To her, the cars in Yun Zijin’s garage could be summed up in two words: stupidly expensive.’

But Yun Zijin didn’t press the issue. She simply felt that if Qin Sitong couldn’t find a car she liked, she could help out a little in her own way.

Of course, if Qin Sitong refused, Yun Zijin wouldn’t force it on her.

However, Qin Sitong had no problem accepting a ride from Yun Zijin to the Wangyou Milk Tea Shop.

The car pulled to a slow stop in front of the Wangyou Milk Tea Shop. Only after Qin Sitong got out and walked inside did Yun Zijin tell Zero One to drive on.

The car slowly merged into traffic. 「About an hour later」 The silver-white luxury van pulled smoothly into Lu’s Sanatorium.

After getting out of the car, Yun Zijin headed toward Lu Yunzhou’s room, following the familiar path.

When she reached Lu Yunzhou’s door, she always knocked first to avoid walking in on him while he was changing or... taking care of other personal matters. She would only open the door after he said to come in.

This time, Yun Zijin knocked as she always did, but unexpectedly...

Instead of Lu Yunzhou’s voice telling her to come in, she heard the sound of Lu Yunque approaching the door.

Seeing Yun Zijin at the door, Lu Yunque couldn’t hold back his smile.

"You... You’re not busy today?"

The last few times Yun Zijin had visited, Lu Yunque had been too busy to come help prepare the medicinal herbs. She assumed today would be no different.

’I can’t believe Lu Yunque is actually here today, and he even got here before me. Now I can’t even call him out for being my shadow.’

"I’m not busy today. You’re here to give my brother his acupuncture treatment, right? So I just dropped by."

But that wasn’t the truth. Lu Yunque knew that after what happened yesterday, Yun Zijin was unlikely to visit him at the Lu Family’s company. So, after he went back, he had Mo Bin work overtime with him to clear all the urgent files, freeing up his entire schedule today just so he could spend time with her.

He’d also discovered she had an 8 AM class and correctly guessed she would come to treat his brother right after. That’s why he had headed straight for Lu’s Sanatorium first thing in the morning.

It just goes to show, there’s no such thing as an honest merchant. That fox, Lu Yunque, was a cunning one.

Yun Zijin gave Lu Yunque a suspicious glance. Something felt off, but after thinking it through, she couldn’t put her finger on what was wrong.

"I’m here to give Yunzhou his acupuncture. How is he doing?"

’The last thing she wanted was to get everything ready only to find that the patient’s condition wasn’t stable enough, forcing her to delay the treatment again.’

"My brother is doing okay. He’s gotten some feeling back in his legs. Sometimes he can even shift them a little on his own, but he can’t make any major movements yet."

Aside from his family members, who visited from time to time, Lu Yunzhou also had a caregiver on duty 24/7.
