Rich Parents Found Me After I Got a Tycoon System? Yeah, I'm Not Interested
Chapter 376 - 375: Approaching Her for an Investment?
Sure enough, after Yun Zijin’s last remark, Feng Chenchen stopped trying to switch seats to follow them, though her expression wasn’t very good.
Plenty of people around them were straining their ears, hoping for some drama, but unfortunately, neither Yun Zijin nor Feng Chenchen gave them the chance.
The elective course professor wasn’t particularly strict, so Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong spent the entire class discussing the special promotion for the Wangyou Milk Tea Shop.
When class finally ended, Yun Zijin planned to go to the shop with Qin Sitong, so they both got up to leave.
But as they were about to leave the classroom, Feng Chenchen raised a hand and blocked their path as they passed her.
"Seniors, I think there might be some kind of misunderstanding between us.
If I’ve done something wrong, you can just tell me. I’ll change, I promise."
’Even after all that, she still won’t give up.’
Yun Zijin felt a surge of irritation. ’I can’t stand these kinds of clueless idiots who live in their own world and can’t take a hint.’
"There’s no misunderstanding. The simple fact is, I don’t like you. Please stay away from us from now on.
You’re from Hua Country, so you should be able to understand me, right?"
Without giving Feng Chenchen another chance to speak, Yun Zijin grabbed Qin Sitong and turned toward the back door of the classroom.
With people like that, the more you engage, the more they’ll push their luck. The best method was to simply ignore them.
Yun Zijin pulled Qin Sitong out of the classroom through the back door, leaving Feng Chenchen standing alone in the aisle, head bowed, looking all "heartbroken and dejected."
"Are we heading straight to the shop now?"
Yun Zijin asked, just in case Qin Sitong needed to buy anything first.
Qin Sitong nodded. "People in the work group chat are already rushing us. A lot of customers have shown up at the shop wanting Wangyou Milk Tea."
"Haven’t you found a single employee who can make Wangyou Milk Tea?"
To be honest, it wasn’t sustainable for Qin Sitong to be at the milk tea shop every single day.
She had given the Wangyou Milk Tea recipe to Qin Sitong to help her become more financially stable. Now, her finances had improved, but she had also become incredibly busy.
Now, aside from attending her classes at school, Qin Sitong’s entire day was spent working at the Wangyou Milk Tea Shop.
She often stayed until closing, getting off the late shift along with the other employees.
Yun Zijin strongly disagreed with this arrangement, but Qin Sitong wouldn’t listen. Unless she had class or other commitments, she insisted on working the same shifts as her employees.
"It’s not that easy to find someone. You know the saying: you can know a person’s face, but not their heart. I only interact with the staff during work hours. I have no idea what they’re like after they clock out."
It’s a well-known fact that people can be completely different on and off the clock.
"How about I have someone look into them?"
The Wangyou Milk Tea Shop was more than ready to open a second location.
But if Qin Sitong couldn’t learn to let go, that new location would never get off the ground.
Qin Sitong lowered her head in thought, likely considering the feasibility of Yun Zijin’s proposal.
"Okay, but it has to be done discreetly. If they find out, they’ll definitely feel uncomfortable."
Nobody likes having their entire life laid bare for others to see. Even if the employees didn’t say anything out loud upon finding out they were being investigated, they would certainly be upset.
"Don’t worry, you can count on me. Absolutely no one else will know about this."
Yun Zijin couldn’t make promises about everything, but when it came to operating discreetly, with Mei Lin backing her up, she had nothing to fear.
Before they knew it, the car had arrived at their destination.
A black Rolls-Royce Cullinan pulled up in front of the Wangyou Milk Tea Shop. Zero One got out first to open the car door for Yun Zijin.
After Yun Zijin stepped out, Qin Sitong followed right behind her.
The black Rolls-Royce Cullinan was much more low-key than the other cars Yun Zijin had driven, but while plenty of people in the shop saw them get out, it didn’t cause a commotion.
The eyes of the customers waiting for Wangyou Milk Tea lit up when they saw Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong.
They didn’t care if the two had arrived in a Rolls-Royce or a budget minivan; they only cared about whether they could get an authentic Wangyou Milk Tea today.
That’s right. Because of Wangyou Milk Tea’s explosive popularity, many copycat milk tea shops had appeared online.
People who had never tried the real thing might have been fooled by them.
But for those who had, the moment they tasted a knockoff version, they understood just how vast the difference was.
Leaving aside the issue of texture and flavor, the unique sensation one felt the moment they drank a Wangyou Milk Tea was something no imitation could ever replicate.
You could say it was a case of "a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people’s eyes"—no two people ever experienced the exact same flavor from a Wangyou Milk Tea.
"Boss Yun, are you here to make Wangyou Milk Tea for us today?"
Anyone who had tried the Wangyou Milk Tea made by Yun Zijin felt that Qin Sitong’s version, while good, was missing a certain special touch.
Many people were eager to have another cup made by Yun Zijin herself, but she rarely appeared at the Wangyou Milk Tea Shop. Whenever customers asked Qin Sitong or the staff about her, they would either plead complete ignorance or state that they couldn’t reveal a friend’s private information.
Now that they finally had a rare sighting of Yun Zijin, these regular customers decided to ask tentatively.
Yun Zijin shook her head. "I’m just the one who fronts the cash. Boss Qin is in charge of everything else."
Of course, Yun Zijin wasn’t about to be led around by the nose by customers. If she agreed now, people would make the same request the next time she came, and the time after that. Would she have to make milk tea every time she visited?
She had opened this shop for her best friend to have fun with, not to create a chore for herself.
Although the customers were disappointed by her refusal, they didn’t continue to pressure her.
Tactful people knew not to keep making demands when someone was clearly unwilling.
Yun Zijin found an empty two-top and sat down, while Qin Sitong quickly shifted into work mode.
The shop was quite crowded now, so Yun Zijin took out her phone and quietly entertained herself, making sure not to disturb Qin Sitong.
"Hello, Boss Yun! We meet again. I’m Chen Chuan from Yiyin Media. May I sit down? I’d like to talk to you about something."
Chen Chuan’s attitude was slightly fawning, though he wasn’t too obvious about it.
Yun Zijin raised an eyebrow. If she remembered correctly, she had already run into this Chen Chuan from Yiyin Media at the shop several times.
"Suit yourself."
The other seat was empty anyway; Yun Zijin couldn’t exactly be so unreasonable as to forbid him from sitting.
Chen Chuan took the lack of a firm rejection as a yes and quickly sat down.
"If you’re here to talk about me making a celebrity debut, you can save your breath."
Chen Chuan had already made that offer last time, and Yun Zijin had already rejected him in no uncertain terms.
If Chen Chuan still wouldn’t give up, Yun Zijin might admire his persistence, but she certainly wouldn’t be giving him the time of day anymore.
"No, no, that’s not it. I know you and your friend have no interest in joining the entertainment industry. I was just... wondering if you might be interested in making an investment?"
Yun Zijin lifted her gaze to look at Chen Chuan.
This was the first time someone had approached her about investing in the entertainment industry.
’Still, who would ever complain about having too much money?’
