Rewind System: Vampire Harem In The Apocalypse

“You really want to die don’t you?” The Vampire asked with a cold smile as in a blink, he appeared before Xavier.

[Hypersonic- Blast.]

*BVOOOM!!!*

The Vampire’s front erupted in a sonic boom, crashing into Xavier.

Xavier was sent flying down the rail track as the sound waves crashed into him. As he soared through the air, blood spurted from his ears; his ear drum had ruptured.

As the vampire vanished from his view, the blood stream from the blood orb followed after him, remaining within his mouth.

*FWOOSH!*

He turned his head in search of the noble, only to discover that he had reappeared behind him, swinging right at his neck. Xavier’s eyes widened as he noticed the increase in speed.

*KATCHING!*

As he swung his sword mid-air to parry and cancel the swing, Xavier’s heart skipped a beat.

Xavier was a second too slow and was only able to divert the blade’s trajectory away from his neck.

*SLASH!*

Xavier clenched his teeth as the sword cut straight through his right leg. Despite the pain, he still swung his sword towards the Noble’s neck.

*SWOOSH!*

The Noble kicked off Xavier’s face, pushing him to the ground and propelling himself away.

*CRASH!*

As Xavier’s head struck the train tracks, he instinctively guzzled down the blood that was flowing into his mouth.

Immediately, blood gushed from his leg toward the severed part that was still airborne, then seized it and pulled it toward him, attaching itself to it. Meanwhile, his ruptured eardrums fixed themselves.

[You are consuming a ghoul’s blood.]

[You are already poisoned.]

Xavier’s heart skipped a beat as another attack approached, there was no time to rest.

When Xavier’s legs were repaired, he kicked off the tracks and watched as a vertical slash mark appeared along the ground right where he had been lying.

He was blasted by torrents of wind a moment after showing just how much pressure was put into the slash.

*SWOOSH!*

The noble emerged from the torrent, cutting horizontally through it and toward Xaviers chest.

*CLANG!*

Fortunately, this time Xavier was able to parry it cleanly. However, the force instantly threw his arm backwards.

*CLANG!* *CLANG!*

As the noble stepped in, Xavier automatically swung his arm forward, straining it in order to block his follow-up swings.

Using his advantage in strength, the vampire unleashed all his power on Xavier, not allowing him to rest for a second.

Xavier was rained down upon by swings one after another as they exchanged swords. The noble was determined to kill him.

Xavier was far weaker and slower, he was being pushed back and his injuries were only getting worse.

With every exchange, it felt as if he was getting closer and closer to death.

*SLASH!* *SLASH!*

Cuts were forming all over Xavier’s arms as he put all his effort into keeping up. Xavier was being healed consistently by the blood orbs.

Throughout their exchange, Xavier was continuously drinking blood, quickly healing his wounds.

*CLANG!* *CLANG!*

Every time a parry was made, a burst of wind was sent down the tunnels. Those watching from a distance couldn’t take their eyes off the action.

Xavier’s orbs illuminated the tunnel, allowing them to see the situation just about by a hairline. While their eyes couldn’t track it, they felt it. Every impact, every contact between the two blades.

It shook their very cores.

“What the hell…? Who is that Vampire…? To be able to keep up with young master Zaos…” Muttered the ivory haired twin as her hair swayed backwards from all the wind pressure.

“No… I don’t believe it…! There’s no way that Vampire can match Zaos’s strength! I’ve never even heard of him! Zaos is a noble, a viscount! There’s no way!”

The long-haired twin watched in disbelief as her hair swayed all over the place.

“Yeah… Even i never expected something like this… However.”

“This isn’t enough to beat young master Zaos-”

*SWOOSH!* *SPLATTER!*

As a swing finally broke through, Xavier’s left arm was sliced off.

As the noble leaned forward to execute another fatal swing, his eyes widened and he glanced to the left. Xavier still had the other blade in his right arm, which was headed straight for his neck.

*SWOOSH!*

He leaned back instantly, barely avoiding the blade as it grazed his neck.

‘He… He didn’t even flinch after losing an arm!?’

Watching Xavier’s recently severed arm reattach right after being cut, he was in disbelief. Xavier, with both arms healed, attacked the Vampire with both blades. His stance had been temporarily knocked off from having dodged the recent attack..

*CLANG!*

The Vampire noble bent his legs in an instant, lowering his center of gravity as he brought his feet to the ground before swinging his sword upwards with all his might.

As the blades collided, Xavier’s arms were knocked back once again, leaving him wide open.

With a desperate look on his face, the noble swung his sword vertically down at Xavier’s head, veins bulging from his arm.

Having seen the attack coming, Xavier had already sidestepped to the side before he was attacked; as a result, he avoided having his head cut off once more. However, his arm and leg were not able to escape and was severed once again.

Once again, having already swung his sword, the noble was unable to defend himself as Xavier thrust his sword into his chest.

*Pierce*

In an attempt to prevent Xavier from reaching the heart, the noble’s arm was pierced by the blade as he moved it into Xavier’s path.

Grasping the sword in his hand, the noble clenched his forearm muscles before swinging his arm to the side, altering the trajectory of the sword from his heart to his side.

From his right, the noble swung his other hand, which had just finished the swing, at Xavier’s neck.

*CLANG!*

Xavier’s recently amputated arm parried his swing, causing his eyes to widen. It had already reattached itself by the time he had swung.

‘It can’t be!? How does a nobody like him heal so fast!?’ He shouted inwardly in disbelief.

*Gulp* *Gulp*

Xavier continued to guzzle the blood of the blood orb. He had already used the seven and thus had [Extracted all the remaining 19 Blood orbs].

They grinded their teeth as they pressed their weapons against one another; neither backed down.

“YOU CAN DO ITTT!!!” The young brown-haired girl with the hat suddenly shouted from down the tunnel as she watched.

Seeing how the situation had gotten out of hand, the twins immediately ran to help the Noble. Getting to them would take some time since they had traveled quite a distance down the tunnel.

Veins bulged out of Xavier’s legs as he lowered his center of gravity and planted his feet firmly into the ground. As he was overpowering him, the noble pushed his feet deeper into the ground.

[Sound Manipulation: Vibrating Blade.]

The noble’s blade vibrated violently, chipping away at Xavier’s blade.

[Sound Manipulation: Hypersonic Blast!]

*VBOOM!*

Xavier’s legs sank deeper into the ground as an explosive sonic boom hit him. Blood gushed from his ears as blood spurted out of them.

“NOW DIE ALREADY!!!” The noble shouted as his blade was almost done cutting through Xavier’s.

*SWOOOSH!*

As he cut right through, his eyes grew wide with excitement.

Or so he thought-

In reality, Xavier had purposely let go of the sword. The noble’s eyebrows raised in shock when he noticed the sword swish right past his hair.

He had bent his body all the way back, the only thing holding it back and preventing him from falling were his feet which were dug into the ground.

Xavier immediately leaped up and thrust his weapon-less left arm at the noble as the sword passed right by him.

The noble had messed up, it was all part of Xavier’s plan all along. It had always been part of his plan to relinquish his weapons and get him to drop his guard, he didn’t think it’d work so well.

In the act of leaping away, the noble felt chills run down his spine when he realized he couldn’t. The sword impaled into his left arm held him back.

‘I-I can’t avoid-‘

As Xavier’s claws reached the Vampire’s chest, it was visible to him.

The shadow of death, looming behind Xavier.

‘This is a joke, right?- ‘

*Pierce*

“YOUNG MASTER ZAOS!!!” The two twins yelled out as they finally reached htem.

With despair painted all over their faces, they moved to attack Xavier, only to stop in surprise as Xavier collapsed right before their very eyes.

*Thud*

The noble poured cold sweat down his face as he unzipped heavy pants.

Prior to collapsing, Xavier’s hand had only penetrated a few inches into his chest. He wasn’t able to reach his heart.

“Huu… Huu…” The Noble exhaled as he gazed down at Xavier’s collapsed figure.

Xavier who had fallen on his face was kicked before he rolled over and was examined.

It looked as if he was having a seizure as foam and blood gushed from his mouth.

“Ha…Hahaha…”

After letting out a sigh, he burst out laughing. Their fear increased as they stared into his eyes as they quickly moved to confirm his safety.

Hatred. Deep hatred. The noble was furious.

“Y-Young master, Zaos… Are you alright?” The short ivory haired twin asked nervously.

While ignoring her, he stomped on Xavier’s face and laughed loudly.

*STOMP!*

*STOMP!* *STOMP!*

*STOMP!* *STOMP!* *STOMP!*

After stomping Xavier a few more times, the noble’s smile faded.

He placed his palm on his face as veins bulged out of his neck and arms. He was furious, he couldn’t recall the last time he ever felt this way.

“Fuck… Fuck, fuck fuck fuck fuck!!!” He cursed as he repeatedly slammed his palm against his face.

The twins took a step back, at times like this, it was best for them to not say anything, and they knew it themselves. Besides, all he could think about at the moment was killing Xavier.

Upon placing his blade over Xavier’s heart, the Vampire noticed that Xavier had stopped having a seizure, and instead, a strange purple liquid was coming out of his ears.

“I’m… Hungry…” Xavier muttered in a dry, bone-chilling tone.

Feeling a chill, rush down his spine, the noble thrust it down to his heart.

*SPLATTER!* *TEAR!*

The noble’s pupils expanded however, as in the following second, Xavier’s figure disappeared from his line of sight, along with his arm.

[Evolution: Ghoul completed.]

[Skill Gluttony: Level 2 Berserk.]

His ears twitched and he instantly turned around, only to find Xavier on all fours with his severed arm in his mouth

On his hands were the two vampire blades merged with Xavier’s flesh in the most sinister looking way.

And on his face was a wide grin present as the blood streamed out of noble’s arm, creating a mini blood orb right beside him.
