Rewind System: Vampire Harem In The Apocalypse

The walls on the tunnel began trembling violently, cubic outlines formed all around the tunnel as it prepared itself to extend and crush Xavier to death.

[Earth Crush.]

Veins bulged out of Xavier’s legs, his figure blurred as he put all his power as he leapt at the Vampire.

Within that second, his entire body was standing before the Vampire and his arm was in the motion of a horizontal swing aimed right at his neck to finish him off cleanly.

He’d moved faster than he’d ever done before, surprising not only himself but also the Vampire.

Before he could cut the Vampire’s neck off however, the unexpected happened-

*Splatter!*

Xavier’s eyes widened as a severed arm holding onto a blade could be seen spinning in the air before him.

He then looked down only to find to notice that the arm was his own.

But that wasn’t all that had caught his eye.

The bald Vampire’s neck had been sliced cleanly off his head… But it wasn’t Xavier.

*Crackle*

Crystals rose out of the bald Vampire’s severed neck whilst his head rolled along the train tracks. As Xavier dropped to the ground, he saw him..

The pearl opal green haired Vampire standing behind the bald Vampire with a disappointed look.

The bald Vampire on the other hand had his life leave his eyes with a confused expression painted across his face.

The pearl opal green haired Vampire sighed as he glanced up.

“Do you know what I despite more than anything in the world? It’s dumbasses like you who can’t control themselves. You almost got all our food killed, can you imagine what would have happened if we returned back empty handed?”

“Honestly you… You disgust me.”

The pearl opal green haired Vampire’s expression turned into that of disgust as he stepped on the bald Vampire’s corpse.

In that moment, the Ghouls blood red eyes, which had been opening, suddenly closed again. The shaking and noise had stopped.

“To make me a pureblood have to waste get involved against a single young man… I’m disappointed..”

The pearl opal green haired Vampire looked over at Xavier only to notice that he was holding onto his arm and groaning in pain as he increased the distance gap between them.

Blood no longer flowed down Xavier’s arm as his newly awakened vampire powers closed the wound, but he needed to attach the arm and honestly had no idea what to do, so he went with the most obvious option.

His severed arm was placed on the part of the limb where it had been severed, and as he had predicted, his flesh stuck together.

At the same time that the notification passed through Xavier’s ear, his health and energy bar appeared on his screen.

[HP: 23/30]

[Energy: 187/200]

Xavier’s energy bar quickly depleted while his health bar rapidly increased as the flesh of his body quickly repaired itself and connected the limbs.

‘It’s working…’

[HP: 24 — 26 — 28 — 30/30]

[Energy: 187 — 179 — 173 — 170/200]

After clenching his hand over and over again, Xavier stretched out his arm. It felt somewhat numb, but it was functioning like new.

‘Pureblood he said… Meaning he was born a vampire…’

Xavier glanced over to the pearly-opal green haired Vampire, only to see a blade’s edge heading straight for his eye.

*SWOOSH!*

Xavier swayed his entire body to the left, and the sword grazed past his cheek almost cutting his eye.

In that instant, Xavier countered by swinging his sword at the pureblood. To his surprise however, his swing was forced to a stop mid-way as spiky crystals had extended out from the pureblood’s body heading towards Xavier.

*WHAM!*

With his quick reflexes and short body, he kicked off the uncrystallised body part, creating a gap between them.

Xavier slide down the tracks while the Vampire landed with his feet positioned on the wall, then leapt off of it right at him.

*Clang!*

Xavier didn’t get a second’s rest, as the spikes retracted into his body, and their swords collided.

*Clang!*

From just one hit, Xavier was almost knocked off balance, it was a far greater impact than when they first collided.

He was holding back, back then-

*Clang!* *Clang!*

A series of swings leading to parries was executed by both. There was not a moment of rest between the two, as they thrust their swords in one another’s openings and swung them whenever they could.

*Clang!* *Fwoosh!*

As they were about to parry again, Xavier faked a swing and stepped in, barely avoiding the Vampire’s blade.

Xavier had no fear of death, so being close to the enemy was like being at home, unlike others who are afraid of being close to the enemy.

After stepping in, he spun his body while swooshing his sword alongside it as he gained momentum.

From the left, the swing had no doubt gathered enough momentum and power to slice him in half, his entire left side was exposed.

Based on this knowledge, the Vampire focused and condensed as many crystals as he could from his body to the area where Xavier was about to cut with his sword.

Then, he grinned as he set up a trap for Xavier, he stomped his left foot on the ground and in that moment, spiky crystals shot up from the ground, piercing Xavier’s feet.

‘It’s over, he won’t be able to cut through-‘

Xavier let go of his Vampire sword in the same instant that the pearl opal green haired purebloods eyes widened.

The extra speed and strength he had gained vanished with it as he no longer held onto it, but he didn’t stop.

Straightening his arm, he thrust it right at the pearl opal green haired Vampire’s heart. In the same instant, he subconsciously extended his claws, but was too focused on getting the heart to notice.

Attempting to crystalise the area around his heart in time sent shivers down the pearl opal green haired Vampire’s spine. Unfortunately for him, there was nowhere near enough time-

*Splatter!*

Xavier’s arm ended up piercing right through the Vampire’s chest. On the other side, where his arm was sticking out, there was a red beating heart that he was holding onto.

*Splatter!*

As the vampire tried to turn his body to take back his heart, blood gushed from his mouth.

But to his greatest fear-

*Burst!*

Xavier crushed his heart right before his eyes.

“What…?” The Vampire questioned with a confused look.

‘What’s happening? I’m a pureblood so why? Why did I lose to a fledgling? And how… How is he so fast?’

‘I’m going to die just like this? To a fucking fledgling!?’

[Crystal Manipulation: Crystallisation.]

Due to a lack of blood, the vampire’s body began to mummify. Not wanting to waste all the stat points, Xavier took this opportunity to bite into the neck of the vampire.

*Pierce*

In that instant, the Vampire’s entire body crystallized in front of Xavier’s eyes.

To make matters worse, the Crystals had begun spreading throughout Xavier’s mouth and arm before engulfing his whole body.
