Reverend Insanity : Blood Path
Chapter 58 Demon Vs Tie Clan IV
“We underestimated this Blood Path demon. I have to regroup with the others as quickly as possible.”
Tie Mei raced through the crimson mist. Earlier, Yang Kang had suddenly emerged from the blood fog and unleashed a towering wave of blood, scattering the entire Tie Clan team. Although they remained on the same mountain, the dense blood mist had completely separated all of them.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
A sharp whistling sound suddenly pierced the air. Tie Mei’s expression changed. She immediately raised a plum blossom-shaped iron shield before her.
Clang!
The tremendous force drove her back several steps. Before she could regain her footing, Yang Kang burst from the blood mist like a ghost. His right leg lashed out, slamming into her back and sending her stumbling forward. At the same time, several blood arrows shot toward her from different directions, sealing off every path of retreat. Even her defensive Gu could not block them all.
Tie Mei twisted her body desperately, but several blood arrows still pierced her flesh. They dissolved into streams of blood the instant they entered her body, rapidly spreading through her body.
Almost instantly, her primeval essence became sluggish. Even the Gu within her aperture grew difficult to control, while an overwhelming heaviness spread throughout her body, making every movement feel as though she were carrying a mountain.
“Hahaha! Meddling Tie Clan fools! Once you’re struck by my Blood Arrow Gu, you’re as good as dead! This is the price for interfering!” Yang Kang lunged forward, his blood spear flashing like a crimson dragon as it slipped past Tie Mei’s defenses and carved several bloody wounds across her body.
Enduring the searing pain, Tie Mei suddenly seized the blood spear with both hands and poured every last trace of primeval essence from her aperture into the Iron Vine Gu. Countless iron vines covered in razor-sharp thorns burst from her body, piercing through both her flesh and Yang Kang’s before coiling tightly around them.
“Damn Blood Path demon! Even if I die today, I’ll drag you into the Gate of Life and Death with me!”
Yang Kang’s heart sank. Realizing Tie Mei intended to perish alongside him, he immediately activated his Rank Two Sound Wave Gu. A deafening shockwave erupted from his mouth at point-blank range.
Boom!
At such close range, the sound waves erupted with terrifying force. Tie Mei’s head burst apart instantly, spraying blood, shattered bones, and brain in every direction. The iron vines immediately lost their support and unraveled from Yang Kang’s body. He staggered back several steps, breathing heavily as he stared at the headless corpse before him, a lingering trace of fear still visible in his eyes.
Elsewhere, the blood mist engulfed the battlefield, blotting out the sky. Sheltered behind the Iron Elephant Gu, Tie Xiang repeatedly activated the communication Gu in his hand, trying to contact his teammates. Unfortunately, every attempt was swallowed by the blood mist, rendering the Gu completely useless.
“What a crafty Blood Path demon!” Tie Xiang ground his teeth. “He actually split us apart.”
The crimson mist was so dense that he could not even see his own hand before his face. It not only obscured his vision but also disrupted the senses of reconnaissance and communication Gu, leaving him completely isolated. Suddenly, a shrill scream tore through the blood mist. Tie Xiang’s heart tightened the instant he recognized the voice.
It was Tie Mei.
“This is bad! Sister Tie Mei is in danger!” A terrible premonition gripped him. Once they had been separated, their greatest advantage had vanished. If this continued, Yang Kang would hunt them down one by one until every last Tie Clan Gu Master lay dead on Chiyang Mountain.
Tie Xiang immediately poured primeval essence into the Iron Elephant Gu. The enormous beast raised its trunk with a thunderous roar before charging headlong into the blood mist, trampling everything in its path as it rushed toward Tie Mei’s location, while the deafening commotion also served to guide the other Tie Clan Gu Masters.
“Heh… Brother Tie Xiang, were you looking for me?” Yang Kang laughed as he spat out a mouthful of blood. The fierce battle against the Tie Clan Gu Masters had left him badly wounded as well.
“You damned Blood Path scoundrel! What have you done to my companions?!”
“Hahaha! The same question again?” Yang Kang sneered. “How boring. As for your companions… of course I killed them. What else could have happened?”
“Yaaah! Die, you beast!” Tie Xiang roared in fury as primeval essence surged into the Iron Elephant Gu. Trumpeting loudly, the enormous beast charged toward Yang Kang. Every thunderous step shook the ground and sent clouds of dust soaring into the air as it barreled forward like an unstoppable avalanche. Yet just before it reached Yang Kang, it came to an abrupt halt. Unable to stop its momentum, the gigantic beast stumbled and crashed heavily to the ground.
“Brother… Tie Xiang…” A weak voice drifted from behind Yang Kang.
It was Tie Lian. Both her arms and legs had been broken, and Yang Kang held her firmly before him as a hostage. Watching Tie Xiang’s face darken, Yang Kang threw back his head and laughed. “Well, Tie Clan Gu Master? Hand over every Gu on your body, gather your remaining companions, and leave Chiyang Mountain. Do that, and I might spare her life.”
