Akane's PoV

"...Mmmhh... Shin... Please... Don't move..." I muttered, still trying to find a good position to sleep.

"Akane... I think we're gonna be late for school if we don't wake up, you know?" He whispered while his hand was still gently caressing my back.

"Let's stay here, please... let me sleep for five more minutes... I feel so tired for some reason..." I replied, unable to move my legs for some reason.

"...Akane... I have some boring stuff to do for the festival, you know? I remember that Sora mentioned something about the live 'concert' on Saturday yesterday." He said, his hands not stopping.

"Tch— I had almost forgotten about that thing..." I said, standing up with my torso enough to face him. "You made me say yes to Hoshiko, you know..." I sighed.  "What now? Do I have to tell her that we won't meet her?" I asked, feeling the duvet sliding down from my body as I rested my chin on my right hand.

"Don't worry about it; I had forgotten it too, to be honest. Also, because Tsubame never mentioned that thing again." He smiled. "About Yuki... I think that the concert won't last too long, and I don't even remember the exact hour."

I stared at him for a few instants.

"Okay, so you're gonna interact with that virus again somehow. Understood." I sighed, crossing my arms.

"Well, I won't see her face again after Saturday, I think. So... we have to resist for a little, okay?" He said, standing up and caressing my cheek in a particular way that made me feel weak.

"Shin," I called, stopping his hand.

"Yeah?"

"Don't touch me like that. You know how it's gonna end, and my body can't physically endure a morning round." I said, but my hand was tightly gripping his, fighting the urge to drive it lower.

Shin stared at me for a few instants.

"Are you sure, Akane?" He said, getting closer.

"I... I..." My eyes closed, and my lips parted automatically. "I... am..."

And in that moment, all I received was a stupid kiss on my forehead.

My eyes snapped open.

"Okay then. I'll go prepare breakfast." He said, with a tone so calm that it made me angry.

"Eh? What?" I blinked my eyes multiple times. "Are you stupid?"

"Uhm, no. I'm just respectful." He said, standing up from the bed.

I crossed my arms and pouted.

"You're such an asshole, I swear. I'll kill you." I said. "And please..."

"What is it?" He asked.

"Put something on, please." I pointed at his penis. "Have some decency in front of your girlfriend, please," I said.

"Ah. You're right. Sorry." He said, scratching the back of his head. "I... I'll go take a shower and then bring you breakfast. Is there something you want?"

"No. Go." I said, looking away from him, feeling a small sense of disappointment. "I'll eat whatever you prepare."

"Okay, boss." He said, sprinting to the bathroom.

'He's such an idiot, but I love him...' I said, hugging the pillow. 'But why am I so bothered by the fact that he didn't make a move on me?! Aaaah, Damn!"

And then, Shin came back with breakfast twenty minutes later.

It wasn't a great meal, but it managed to satisfy my hunger at least for the next hour.

'Maybe I'm making him overwork himself... I should be the one preparing breakfast tomorrow...' I thought while eating.

Then, after we finished eating, we grabbed our things, prepared for school, and walked out, but not before grabbing an umbrella, because that day it was raining.

The air was colder, and even a lone wolf like me needed to cover her precious body even more, so I wore skintone winter tights with my usual fishnets on top. Shin liked them way too much, since he kept staring at them for 70% of the time until we arrived at the main gates.

"Something's wrong, Ghost boy?" I asked mischievously during the walk, pressing my body against him.

"N-No. It's just that..." He looked away. "You look cooler today. That's all."

"Ooooh?" I then wrapped an arm around his waist and leaned close to his ear. "You're just thinking about ripping those tights off me, aren't you? Naughty boy~" I whispered, pressing against him even more. "Too bad you're busy holding that umbrella.

He didn't speak, of course. He simply couldn't.

Teasing him like that was sooooo much fun. His reactions were the perfect mix of adorable and hot.

And then, after another ten minutes of walking, we had finally arrived at the main gates.

When we walked inside, Shin immediately put his umbrella away and sighed. "This is gonna be a very long day..."

"I know... but look at the positive thing," I said.

"And what is the positive thing, Akane?" He asked, curious.

"We're staying at my place later, and I'm gonna show you my guitar skills once more," I said. "And I promise that you won't be disappointed."

"Wow. I'm gonna see a concert." He said flatly.

My eyes narrowed after his reply. "You should be grateful for that, Ishikawa. Millions of people would pay a ton of gold to see a private concert by me. You're such an ungrateful idiot."

"Hahahaha... I am grateful, in fact. Don't worry about that," He said, patting my head.

"Stop it, Ishikawa. I'm not a dog." I said, crossing my arms.

"Stop me, then." He said, but someone stopped us.

"Ishikawa-kun, Takanashi-san!" That ultra-recognizable voice.

We both turned our heads and saw Sora running straight toward us, stopping only a few feet away.

She was clutching a bunch of paperwork to her chest, and she was panting.

"Sorry if I'm late...Hah... Hah... I just... I just had to grab today's schedule. The print office made me waste a lot of time..." Sora said, moving her gaze between Shin and me.

"Oh, good morning, you little angel!" I exclaimed. "Is everything alright? Do you need an oxygen can?" I said.

"Good morning, S—Fujimoto-san," Shin said, scratching the back of his head.

"I actually need to do some sport..." Sora replied, sighing. "Well... yeah. Everything is all right, but it seems like there will be a problem with the soccer club for the festival."

I felt a little squeeze on my heart as soon as I heard 'Soccer Club'.

"Problem? What kind of problem?" Shin asked, curious.

"Well, our school had actually organized a friendly match between our soccer club and the one from Seiryō University, but..." Sora looked away for an instant. "Kenji Yamada has suddenly sent an email to the student council early this morning saying that he was leaving the soccer club for 'family reasons'. The result? Everyone is in a panic because Yamada was actually the best player, and even though it's only a friendly match, they said that nobody can replace him, and that winning is 'mandatory', for some reason."

He left for family issues. Yeah. What a great excuse. I already knew what he was going to do.

"And... where's the real problem here, Fujimoto-san?" Shin asked.

"The problem is that our school paid money for that event, and a lot of people, including possible investors, observers, and other important people, are gonna see that match. If we can't find a proper replacement for Yamada, we will have a big hole in our festival schedule, and everyone will blame me." Sora said, scratching the back of her head.

"Ah. Damn. That's horrible." I said, my voice flat.

'That's only another dirty way to make us interact with him, I'm sure.' I thought.

"Yeah. It's truly horrible. I really need a day off..." Sora sighed.

"I understand, Fujimoto-san. I'm sure that we'll fix this somehow." Shin said. "But first, we should focus on the present. We still have three weeks until the school festival, right? I'm sure that we'll find someone else."

Sora looked at him, and her gaze softened.

"I know, but it's frustrating, I swear..." She said, moving her gaze at me. "Are you free after school tomorrow, Takanashi?" Sora asked.

I looked at Shin for an instant, saw an invisible nod, and then looked back at Sora.

"Yeah, why?" I asked.

Sora then stepped closer and looked around her.

"Well... I just wanted to hang out. Tomorrow it's Friday, and I really wanted to go shopping with you." She whispered.

Without thinking about it, I had already said yes.

"Sounds pretty cool, but only on one condition," I said.

"Uh? And what is it?" Sora asked, curious.

"I'll choose the shop, okay?" I smiled.

"Okay. Deal." Sora said, smiling back.

She then took some steps back and looked at Shin.

"Now, Ishikawa-kun, shall we go? T-There are some things we need to discuss about Saturday's mini concert with Tsubame-senpai and her girls." She said, looking away from him.

'Don't do that in front of me, Sora. That's frustrating.' I thought.

"Yeah, sure. Does Takaneda-sensei know that I'll be busy today, too?" He asked.

Sora immediately nodded.

"Yeah. I've told him that I personally requested your help, so don't worry about tests or homework. You're still safe." She said.

Then, Shin looked back at me, and I moved my gaze to Sora.

"Excuse me, Mrs. Beautiful Idol President, might you turn around for an instant?" I asked.

"U-uh? Y-yeah." She understood.

And then, after she turned around, I wrapped my arms around Shin's neck and kissed him, strong enough to make him remember that he was still mine.

Luckily, no student was nearby.

After a few moments, I pulled away and took a few steps back.

"Come on, Sora. You can turn now." I said.

Sora looked up at us, and I could see the little blush on her face.

"Go, Shin. I'll wait for you on the rooftop for lunch break." I said before moving my gaze to Sora. "Don't forget to come, Mrs. President. And bring that melon pan. It was tasty." I said.

She immediately nodded and then smiled.

And after that, Shin and Sora both waved at me and disappeared into the corridors.

'Well... the fact that another female spends time with him still bothers me, but at least... I don't feel the urge to skin them alive anymore. That's some great progress here.' I thought, satisfied.

Suddenly, my phone buzzed, and I immediately pulled it out from my bag.

'I wonder who it is...'

As soon as the screen lit up, I saw who the botherer was.

Kurone: "Good morning, Akane... I have some small news regarding Shin's parents."

Kurone: "I've eavesdropped on my mother talking with his father, and now I have 100% confirmation that they are coming back. Sadly, I don't know when... so, if you have anything to suggest, tell me."

Kurone: "I still feel that nausea... I probably won't eat today, too."

Kurone: "Anyway... How is Shin doing? Are you treating him well? Is he eating properly? P.S. He loves strawberry mochi; his favorite brand is 'Mocchilando'."

I was stunned when I read those messages, and my brain was trying to process what to write...
