Chapter 2510 - 2295: The Tree That Stands Out in the Forest (Part 5)

"Family Head, even if I can stand up and walk tomorrow, it won't work because I have to film a scene where I walk barefoot. My feet are already worn out and it's impossible to shoot."

"I can have your feet restored to normal by tomorrow morning," Song Xiaodong said to Shen Jiayan.

"Brother Xiaodong, is it really possible? I remember when you treated Sister Yiyi and Deputy Director Qiao's scars it took a long time to recover. How can you heal Shen Jiayan by tomorrow?" Xiao Yingying said to Song Xiaodong.

"Of course, I went to Longpan Mountain for alchemy, not for travel," Song Xiaodong replied.

"That's great!"

"I'll unwrap your bandages, apply new medicine, and after a night's sleep, your feet will be back to normal," Song Xiaodong said to Shen Jiayan.

"Really? How can one night's sleep fully restore them?" Shen Jiayan didn't believe Song Xiaodong's words.

"Jiayan, don't worry, we'll definitely heal you, and make sure you become the lead actress, then we'll deal with that Feng Yuzhi!" Xiao Yingying said to Shen Jiayan.

"Alright!" Shen Jiayan nodded.

"Yingying, help me remove the bandages," Song Xiaodong said to Xiao Yingying.

"Okay."

Xiao Yingying unraveled the bandage that the physician had wrapped around Shen Jiayan during the day.

"It's worn down to this extent! You can see the bone! All the skin is gone! Feng Yuzhi is utterly detestable!" Xiao Yingying said with distress, looking at Shen Jiayan's toes, which were worn down to the bone.

"Does it hurt?" Xiao Yingying asked Shen Jiayan.

Shen Jiayan didn't speak, but nodded.

"Oh… Brother Xiaodong, you must find a way to handle Feng Yuzhi!" Xiao Yingying said to Song Xiaodong.

"Don't worry, I'll slowly figure out a way. Bear with it, and let me apply the medicine."

Song Xiaodong took out the elixir he had previously concocted on Longpan Mountain, a small bottle of green elixir, and poured out two pills.

"Get some water," Song Xiaodong said to Xiao Yingying.

"Okay."

Xiao Yingying handed a cup of water to Song Xiaodong.

Song Xiaodong took the water Xiao Yingying handed him and placed the two pills into the water.

The pills quickly dissolved, turning the water into a green liquid.

"Bring a foot basin," Song Xiaodong said again.

Xiao Yingying found a foot basin, and Song Xiaodong poured the liquid into it.

"Soak both feet. It might be very painful, bear with it," Song Xiaodong said to Shen Jiayan.

"Okay." Shen Jiayan obediently soaked her bloodied feet into the green liquid.

"Ah!..." Shen Jiayan let out a scream, tears almost streaming from the pain.

The green liquid in the foot basin began to bubble as soon as Shen Jiayan submerged her feet.

Just like hydrogen peroxide bubbles.

"Once it's done bubbling, take your feet out," Song Xiaodong said to Shen Jiayan.

"Okay."

When the bubbling stopped, Shen Jiayan took her feet out, and Song Xiaodong knelt down and re-bandaged Shen Jiayan's feet.

Shen Jiayan had teary eyes.

"Family Head, President Xiao, thank you both!" Shen Jiayan said to Song Xiaodong and Xiao Yingying.

"We are family, no need for such words," Xiao Yingying said to Shen Jiayan.

"Yes, filming with Director Zhou and Boss Niu, you'll become a big star in the future, and then you'll be our money tree!" Song Xiaodong said to Shen Jiayan.

"Family Head, President Xiao, I will definitely work hard!" Shen Jiayan said as tears fell.

"Alright, alright, have a good rest. Brother Xiaodong said the wounds on your feet will heal by tomorrow morning," Xiao Yingying said, hugging Shen Jiayan and stroking her hair.

"Okay…"

The next morning, Director Zhou organized the crew to restart filming. Shen Jiayan was absent, while Feng Yuzhi, Feng Yuhao, and Yan Shoucheng arrived early.

"Why isn't the lead actress here yet?" Feng Yuzhi scanned the crew, acting like the owner, noticing Shen Jiayan's absence, she asked Zhou Yuanzhi.

Zhou Yuanzhi was busy adjusting the camera and directing on-site, ignoring Feng Yuzhi.

"Director Zhou, we discussed last night, if Shen Jiayan can't make it today, then Feng Yuzhi will be the lead actress. How much does production cost per day? I can't halt the shoot to wait for Shen Jiayan to recover," Feng Yuhao said to Song Xiaodong and Yan Shoucheng.

"Where is Shen Jiayan?" Feng Yuzhi asked knowingly.

Zhou Yuanzhi didn't answer Feng Yuzhi.

"If she doesn't show up, I'll be the lead actress," Feng Yuzhi said to Zhou Yuanzhi, lowering her eyelids with malice.

"Here I am." Suddenly, Shen Jiayan's voice came from outside the crew.

Feng Yuzhi, Zhou Yuanzhi, Zhang Lijiao, and Boss Niu turned their heads to see Xiao Yingying pushing a wheelchair with Shen Jiayan sitting in it, accompanied by Song Xiaodong, slowly approaching the crew.

"Oh, what's going on here? Is this a performance of resilience for Director Zhou? Today's scene requires barefoot acting; are you planning to perform in a wheelchair?" Feng Yuzhi sneered, unable to contain her mockery at the comical sight.

"Director, give me another chance! I can definitely do it!" Xiao Yingying pushed the wheelchair in front of Zhou Yuanzhi, and Shen Jiayan hugged Zhou Yuanzhi's legs, pleading with him.

Zhou Yuanzhi looked puzzled at Song Xiaodong and Xiao Yingying, unsure if Shen Jiayan was genuinely acting.
