"That's not true, Bingbing never lied when she was in school. But she just said she knows someone who owns a slimming tea factory, isn't that utter nonsense? Bingbing, what on earth did you study at university, how did you learn to lie?" Zhang Yanhong said to Lu Yaobing.

"Alright, you're all right, you're all grown-ups in society, I don't know better, I've read myself into a fool, is that okay?" Lu Yaobing shrugged, not giving any of the three girls a good face.

"What's with that attitude? We're all good friends. Although we've started working, we were classmates at one time. Classmates are meant to reminisce about the lovely student days, not for competing who's better. You meet us and immediately make up a friend with a slimming tea factory, isn't that not quite right?" Zhang Yanhong said to Lu Yaobing.

"Fine, fine, I shouldn't have lied. I'm just here in Beijing to hang out, is that okay?" Lu Yaobing couldn't be bothered to argue with the three of them.

After all, once you graduate and leave school, you become people on different paths.

"See, I told you so, as a student, how could you know all sorts of big bosses like us who've started working? So, joining the workforce earlier has its benefits; you can build connections years ahead of you university students, just like a 100-meter sprint where we've already run three seconds ahead before you even start running!" Zhang Yanhong said again.

"Yeah, look at the new graduates in our company, each one of them so full of themselves. When meeting clients, they have that intellectual arrogance. Turning faces to the clients? Isn't that just waiting for business to fail? I tell you, reading has made you all stupid, that was no lie. Look at those few graduates, they all quit within a month." Wang Fang added.

However, the truth is, the graduates quickly realized within a month of joining their company that there was no future there. It relied on women capitalizing on their youth and at times even compromising their dignity. Such a job is more suited for those three high school graduates, which is why all the college graduates quit after less than a month.

"Bingbing, don't learn from them, the university education makes people look down on everyone with that scholarly snobbery." Zhang Yanhong criticized Lu Yaobing again.

"Let's not keep chastising Bingbing. She's only afraid we'd look down on her so she made up having such a friend. We shouldn't expose her; Bingbing's not like that." Wang Fang also spoke up.

"Bingbing, did you date anyone in university?" Zhao Wenyu suddenly changed the topic.

"No."

"Oh come on, Bingbing, you're not lying to us again, right?" Zhang Yanhong said to Lu Yaobing.

"No, really no." Lu Yaobing replied.

"How could it be none? Everybody says university is the time for romance! If you didn't date during university, didn't you waste that time there? I don't think they were wrong at all. Every time I passed by a university on a Friday night, you'd see couples walking out in pairs, all going to get a room. These students, spending their parents' money, not studying, but going out to have relationships, how irresponsible! They really burn money. We're smarter, knowing our family conditions aren't great and we aren't good at studying, so we got out into the world sooner, made more money, gained more experience. By the time you graduates finish, we might already be bosses!" Zhang Yanhong said.

"Hahaha, you have big dreams there, aiming to become a boss. I think you might not make it, but gussy yourself up, use some brainpower, and becoming a boss's wife might still be realistic!" Wang Fang teased Zhang Yanhong.

"What nonsense are you talking about! What's wrong with being a boss's wife? It's a skillful job! If I can land a rich husband, I won't need to toil so hard. Am I right, President Li?" Zhang Yanhong said as she turned and gave President Li a flirtatious look.

President Li coughed a few times and said nothing.

"Bingbing, did you really not date anyone in university? You're so pretty, students, teachers, even the principal would like you. It's hard to believe you didn't date." Wang Fang asked Lu Yaobing.

"Really no, I studied at a medical school, there weren't many boys in my class, our school didn't even have a soccer team because there weren't enough boys to form one." Lu Yaobing answered.

"Hahaha, that's quite unfortunate!" Wang Fang responded.

"You say classmates, teachers, and principals in university, it reminds me of all those news stories about female students bullied by fellow students, teachers, or principals, or even exploited by foreigners, what's worse, gang ones. It's just awful! I'd say those female students are cheap, you go there to study, but spend all day not learning, just dressing up to go to classes like that. Is it not asking for trouble?" Zhang Yanhong spoke again.
