Chapter 2124: Chapter 1880: Ruins

Entering the Daxia Ruins, Song Yun’s first feeling was one of antiquity.

Perhaps this place was once bustling with many things, a scene of prosperity, but now only crumbling walls and columns remain.

What lies before him is clearly overgrown with wild grass, yet Song Yun indeed has a feeling that the place exudes an ancient aura, an aura of inheritance.

He even feels the presence of a powerful force.

The people who once lived here must have been extraordinarily powerful, and even after all these years, remnants of their aura still linger.

"This place is extraordinary."

Song Yun couldn’t help but exclaim, urging the giant wolf beneath him forward, following the dense footprints on the ground.

The other seven members of the Nine Stars, along with Lang Xiaoran, followed twenty meters behind him.

The size of the Daxia Ruins remains unknown.

They walked for half an hour without any discoveries.

Just as Song Yun was starting to feel puzzled, he suddenly heard voices ahead.

He made a gesture to stop, signaling the people behind him to keep quiet, and urged the giant wolf to silently approach.

Ahead was a corridor corner; through the gaps in the collapsing walls, Song Yun could see the scene on the other side.

There were five people there.

Among them, Song Yun didn’t recognize four.

But the other one was Clark, whom Song Yun had fought before.

Their conversation began. Though not loud, Song Yun heard it clearly.

A bald, burly man in heavy armor glanced at Clark’s missing right arm and asked, "Clark, weren’t you teaming up with Hall and Rodney? Where are they? And what happened to your arm?"

"We encountered the Beast Spirit Clan earlier. Hall and Rodney were killed by them. I barely managed to escape, even losing an arm."

Clark lied, not mentioning that his arm was broken by Song Yun.

After all, Song Yun was merely sss-level early stage, and Clark, along with Hall and Rodney, was seriously injured. It was too embarrassing to share.

"It’s unbelievable that you escaped from the Beast Spirit Clan."

The other four exclaimed in amazement.

Clearly, they had witnessed the Beast Spirit Clan’s prowess and were somewhat apprehensive.

However, Song Yun saw that they surprisingly carried no injuries, implying they had seen the Beast Spirit Clan from a distance, without engaging in battle.

"I never thought this journey would be so difficult."

"Our strength is formidable, yet compared to the Beast Spirit Clan, we are still lacking. What do we do now?"

"I believe now isn’t the time for internal conflict. We should find people from the Delas family, Dark Holy See, and Wolf Castle to join forces against the Beast Spirit Clan."

"Indeed, otherwise, if we encounter the Beast Spirit Clan, it will be hard to manage."

"Then let’s hurry and locate the Delas family, Dark Holy See, and Wolf Castle."

The five members of the Twelve Crowns agreed on a plan and prepared to advance.

Seeing them ready to depart, Song Yun would not let them go.

He urged the giant wolf to emerge from the corridor corner and said in a low voice, "You five, don’t leave."

"Who?"

The five members of the Twelve Crowns looked back in alarm.

Seeing only a Mutant Giant Wolf before them, they flinched, thinking the Beast Spirit Clan had appeared.

Then they saw Song Yun riding the giant wolf, and only then did they breathe a sigh of relief.

But Clark was startled, exclaiming, "Song Yun, you... How are you still alive?!"

Clark remembered escaping when Song Yun was trapped in an electrified enclosure, with members of the Beast Spirit Clan approaching. Song Yun should be dead, yet he stood before them now.

The strangest part was that Song Yun was riding a Mutant Giant Wolf!

Song Yun glanced at Clark, sneering, "What? Is it bad that I’m alive? It seems you don’t appreciate me. Afraid others will find out your arm was broken by me?"

"Stop spouting nonsense," Clark hurriedly defended.

He turned to the other four and said, "This guy is named Song Yun, and he has quite a few treasures. Let’s team up to kill him."

The bald man in heavy armor assessed Song Yun and the giant wolf, confidently saying, "The Mutant Giant Wolf is sss-level mid-stage, and this guy is sss-level early stage. With the five of us, we can kill them."

Another black-clad man with a side-parted haircut sneered, "Humph, I thought the Beast Spirit Clan was here. Since it’s just you two, prepare to die."

With that, the five Twelve Crowns members attacked simultaneously, all aiming for Song Yun.

As always, Clark wielded his scalpel, while the other four showcased their techniques.

Clearly, they aimed to deliver a killing blow to Song Yun with all their might.

In an instant, the powerful energy surged, causing Song Yun’s robe to billow fiercely.

The fierce winds made the giant wolf strain to keep its eyes open.

Five sss-level mid-stage members combining forces had an incredibly terrifying destructive force.

"Song Yun, face your demise!"

"Kid, you’re courting death."

"First, kill you, then tame this wolf."

"Kill you, and your treasures will be ours."

The five Twelve Crowns members thought themselves victorious, believing Song Yun’s doom was certain.

But in an instant, their expressions changed drastically.

Because they saw four more giant wolves emerging from the corridor corner, with four pairs of glowing green wolf eyes fixed on them.

And atop the giant wolves, sat eight more individuals.

What the heck is happening?

Since when did the mutant beasts become so obedient, even taking these people’s orders?
