Chapter 513: Profligate Young Master

This was the only explanation Qin Tuo could force out. What other excuse could he possibly have?

Besides, Qin Tuo had never actually been with a woman. He was far too embarrassed to tell Zhu Zifeng that he was, through and through, a virgin.

Since Qin Tuo had said as much, Zhu Zifeng had no choice but to drop the idea.

But deep down, he sighed. It felt like a pity, a missed opportunity to get closer to Qin Tuo.

Zhu Zifeng, bored out of his mind, fiddled with his phone.

Meanwhile, Qin Tuo sipped his tea, his gaze silently drifting back to the girl from before.

Strangely enough, it was as if the girl could sense his gaze every time.

The moment Qin Tuo looked at her, she naturally glanced his way, and their eyes met once more.

The girl still beamed at Qin Tuo, her expression exceedingly friendly.

But this time, as Qin Tuo’s attention fell on the girl again, he found that he no longer felt that earlier impulse at all.

‘Strange. Why does it feel different looking at her now?’

Qin Tuo couldn’t help but shake his head, feeling a strange sense of bewilderment.

This led Qin Tuo to wonder if he’d simply had too much on his plate lately. Perhaps he was just so exhausted that he’d started hallucinating. There was no other explanation for it.

Qin Tuo kept his eyes on the girl, but he had no intention of approaching her.

The girl, for her part, also remained in her seat.

But Zhu Zifeng noticed something was amiss. He saw Qin Tuo staring fixedly at the girl and a playful grin spread across his face.

With that thought, Zhu Zifeng took the initiative.

“Mr. Qin, how about I go invite that girl over for you?” he added, giving Qin Tuo a mischievous smirk.

They were both men; of course Zhu Zifeng knew what was on Qin Tuo’s mind.

But Qin Tuo replied casually, “No, it’s fine. Let’s not bother her.”

But Zhu Zifeng just chuckled. “Look, Mr. Qin, she keeps staring at you, too! She might be interested in you. How can you let a golden opportunity like this pass you by?”

With that, Zhu Zifeng stood up with a grin, looking as if he was about to march over and bring the girl back for Qin Tuo.

Zhu Zifeng figured Qin Tuo was just too shy to make a move himself. ‘Of course, this is where I come in,’ he thought, ‘I have to pave the way for him.’

But Qin Tuo quickly grabbed him, shook his head, and pushed him back down into his seat.

“Mr. Qin, what are you doing?” Zhu Zifeng asked, bewildered.

Qin Tuo said, exasperated, “I said it’s fine. Let’s just eat.”

Seeing that Qin Tuo wasn’t joking, Zhu Zifeng wore a resigned expression and could only sit back down obediently.

Just then, a few more people walked into the restaurant.

Zhu Zifeng took one look, and his expression faltered in surprise.

A young man swaggered in, flanked by two bodyguards who emanated the powerful aura of Grandmasters.

It was Liu Chuan, the last remaining hope of the Liu Family.

As soon as he entered with his two Grandmaster bodyguards, his eyes immediately fell upon Zhu Zifeng in the corner.

Liu Chuan’s eyes narrowed. He let out a cold sneer and deliberately strode in their direction.

“Well, well, if it isn’t the great young master of the Zhu Family. What are you doing eating in a place like this?”

He was clearly looking for trouble, and his words made Zhu Zifeng’s brow furrow deeply.

Qin Tuo glanced at Liu Chuan, a flicker of curiosity in his eyes.

Zhu Zifeng snorted. “Where I choose to eat is none of your business. I’m warning you, don’t start anything with me today.”

As a young master of the Zhu Family, Zhu Zifeng wasn’t the least bit afraid of Liu Chuan.

He simply didn’t want any trouble, since he had invited Qin Tuo out for a meal.

Besides, Zhu Zifeng hadn’t brought any bodyguards, while Liu Chuan had two powerful Grandmasters with him. Zhu Zifeng simply didn’t want to be at an immediate disadvantage.

But Liu Chuan just shook his head and scoffed, a vicious glint in his eyes. “Zhu Zifeng,” he said coldly, “you got all the glory last time. I haven’t settled that score with you yet!”

Liu Chuan had lost to Zhu Zifeng at the bar before and had been stewing in anger ever since.

Now that he had the chance, he was eager to teach Zhu Zifeng a lesson.

But Zhu Zifeng was completely unfazed. He lifted his chin and shot back a threat. “You dare touch me, Liu Chuan? Try it. See if I don’t call my men over right now and have you wiped out!”

Liu Chuan was taken aback. He hadn’t expected Zhu Zifeng to show no fear and confront him so head-on.

He gritted his teeth in frustration. After weighing the situation, he had no choice but to back down.

Liu Chuan knew that even if he beat up Zhu Zifeng right now, he wouldn’t dare to do anything permanent.

If things went too far, not even his family could protect him.

Besides, the old butler had just recently warned him over and over not to cause any trouble for a while.

Thinking of all this, Liu Chuan could only shoot Zhu Zifeng a venomous glare, not daring to take any real action.

The two exchanged a few barbs, but it was clear neither side had gained the upper hand.

Just then, Liu Chuan’s gaze shifted to Qin Tuo, who was sitting beside Zhu Zifeng, and his expression turned puzzled.

‘Who is this?’ he wondered privately. ‘Why is he eating alone with Zhu Zifeng?’

The man looked so young and unfamiliar, which only fueled his suspicion.

So, Liu Chuan walked right up to their table, sizing up Qin Tuo as he muttered to himself, “This fella looks pretty unfamiliar!”

However, Qin Tuo simply went on eating, treating Liu Chuan as if he were thin air.

Liu Chuan’s annoyance flared, and he asked coldly, “Hey, kid. Where are you from? I’m talking to you!”

Qin Tuo continued to ignore him, focusing on his food.

This time, such a blatant show of arrogance utterly infuriated Liu Chuan.

‘With his status, when had he ever been treated so dismissively by a peer?’

Liu Chuan slammed his hand on the table and demanded, “Are you deaf, kid? You dare ignore me? You must be looking to die!”

The commotion startled many of the other diners. When they saw it was Liu Chuan, they all flinched and immediately looked away, not daring to get involved.

Liu Chuan was infamous for his bad reputation; few people dared to cross him.
