Return of the Celestial King
Chapter 496: The Zhu Family's Benefactor
After dealing with the Hong Family’s matter, Qin Tuo returned to his hotel for the time being.
It was an exceptionally high-end hotel that Kong Lianqing had arranged for him.
The members of the Zhu Family, Ouyang Tianqi, Chen Man Ni, and Ouyang Feifei had all checked into the hotel ahead of him.
They were all gathered in a room, silently waiting for news from Qin Tuo.
Unfortunately, Hong Yuanzheng’s status was so high that they hadn’t been qualified to accompany him.
As a result, none of them knew what had happened.
“Sigh… I wonder if Mr. Qin was able to cure Elder Hong’s grandson.”
Elder Zhu muttered to himself, leaning on his cane with a frown.
Ouyang Tianqi, standing nearby, gave a wry smile and said,
“With Mr. Qin’s skills, it shouldn’t be a problem, right?”
But even as he said it, it was clear he wasn’t very confident.
After all, they knew that Hong Yuanzheng had found countless famous doctors and tried endless methods for his grandson, all to no avail.
Just as everyone was starting to worry about Qin Tuo, there was a sudden sound at the door.
Kong Lianqing opened the door and gestured for Qin Tuo to enter.
Qin Tuo walked in to find everyone gathered in the presidential suite.
“I’m back.”
Qin Tuo said with a smile.
Chen Man Ni immediately rushed over and hugged him, her face full of concern.
“Qin Tuo, are you okay?”
In Chen Man Ni’s eyes, the fate of others didn’t matter; she only cared if Qin Tuo had been given a hard time.
Qin Tuo chuckled, patting Chen Man Ni’s head with an indulgent smile.
“Manni, I was just treating a patient. What could have happened?”
Seeing his relaxed demeanor, everyone was quite surprised.
Zhu Guirong asked curiously,
“Mr. Qin, has Elder Hong’s grandson woken up yet?”
Qin Tuo nodded and replied with a smile,
“Don’t worry, he’s awake now.”
Hearing Qin Tuo’s definitive answer, everyone let out a collective sigh of relief.
But that relief was quickly followed by curiosity.
After a moment’s thought, Zhu Guirong asked,
“Mr. Qin, what was the actual cause of Elder Hong’s grandson’s coma?”
This was the question on everyone’s mind.
Qin Tuo waved his hand and said dismissively,
“It was nothing much. He just fell victim to a treacherous plot.”
Although Qin Tuo spoke of it so casually, everyone knew there had to be more to the story. It couldn’t possibly be as simple as he made it sound.
As a resident of the Capital City, Zhu Guirong understood this better than anyone.
So he asked, looking puzzled,
“Mr. Qin, Elder Hong’s grandson was in a coma for over a year. All sorts of renowned doctors tried and failed. I’m afraid it can’t be that simple, can it?”
Ouyang Tianqi and the others nodded silently in agreement.
They were all very curious to know what exactly had been wrong with Elder Hong’s grandson.
Before Qin Tuo could answer, Kong Lianqing, who was standing beside him, jumped in, his face alight with excitement.
“Of course it wasn’t that simple! You should have been there to see Mr. Qin’s methods in action. It was absolutely incredible!”
Hearing Kong Lianqing describe it with such reverence, everyone’s eyes lit up with interest.
“Oh? Pavilion Master Kong, please, tell us what happened!”
Zhu Guirong, Ouyang Tianqi, and the others all leaned in, looking very interested.
The younger ones—Chen Man Ni, Ouyang Feifei, and Zhu Zifeng—looked at Qin Tuo with adoration, waiting for Kong Lianqing to recount the story.
And so, Kong Lianqing vividly recounted everything Qin Tuo had done at the Hong Family’s villa, leaving out no detail.
As he described the details, the listeners gasped in amazement, their faces showing continuous shock.
When they heard how Qin Tuo finally killed the Puppet Insect and successfully revived Hong Kai, everyone in the room drew a sharp, collective breath.
After a moment of stunned silence, the room erupted in applause as everyone gave Qin Tuo a thumbs-up.
Without a doubt, everyone in the room was now completely and utterly in awe of Qin Tuo.
They never imagined that Qin Tuo’s methods could be so miraculous; it was as if a deity had descended to the mortal realm.
Chen Man Ni gasped and muttered to herself,
“My god, this sounds like a fairy tale! It all feels so unreal!”
Everyone was stunned for a moment before bursting into laughter.
Barely containing his excitement, Zhu Guirong walked right up to Qin Tuo and said with the utmost respect,
“Mr. Qin, in my eyes, you’re no different from a divine being.”
This was a sincere compliment from the bottom of his heart, and it made Qin Tuo feel a bit embarrassed.
Qin Tuo waved his hand and laughed.
“It was nothing, really. Just a small effort. There’s no need for so much praise.”
But despite his modesty, everyone knew just how difficult it must have been for him to accomplish such a feat.
Zhu Guirong’s gaze on Qin Tuo was fervent. He was now incredibly thankful for his previous decision, which had proven to be absolutely correct!
Not only was Qin Tuo’s own power so formidable, but by saving Hong Yuanzheng’s grandson, he had also forged a deep connection with the Hong Family.
In Zhu Guirong’s eyes, Qin Tuo was now the Zhu Family’s greatest benefactor.
Everyone crowded around Qin Tuo again, peppering him with questions about the details.
A wry smile on his face, Qin Tuo had no choice but to satisfy their curiosity, answering all sorts of strange questions.
Seizing an opportunity amidst the chatter, Ouyang Tianqi pulled Qin Tuo aside.
“Mr. Ouyang, is something wrong?”
Qin Tuo asked, a bit confused.
Ouyang Tianqi thought for a moment before asking,
“Mr. Qin, now that things here are settled, when do you plan on returning to Ming City?”
Ouyang Tianqi was just asking casually, since Ming City was, after all, Qin Tuo’s home base.
Besides, the auction had turned into a complete farce, and he had no interest in staying here any longer.
To his surprise, however, Qin Tuo frowned and said slowly,
“Mr. Ouyang, I don’t think I’ll be returning to Ming City just yet.”
Ouyang Tianqi looked surprised and immediately asked,
“Oh? Why is that, Mr. Qin? Do you have other business here?”
Qin Tuo nodded with a smile.
“Yes, Mr. Ouyang. You should take the two girls back first.”
