Chapter 479: Drawing the Sword

The two men walked onto the stage, completely oblivious to the strange looks everyone was giving them.

After all, their minds were so consumed by money that they completely overlooked such details.

Liu Zhenghai’s face instantly filled with murderous intent. He stared daggers at the two of them, wishing he could just rush onto the stage and slice them into a thousand pieces.

Wu Qihao said with a broad smile:

"Mr. Liu, I’ve received the money. I’ll have the master immediately set up a Feng Shui Array for you, ensuring the Liu Family’s fortune will prosper from now on. How about it?"

He said this with a huge grin, waiting for Liu Zhenghai to express his gratitude.

However, Wu Qihao quickly sensed that something was wrong. ’Why does Liu Zhenghai look like he wants to kill someone?’

He then looked closer and noticed that everyone in the audience had extremely grim expressions.

Some people even had looks of schadenfreude on their faces, as if they were waiting to see him make a fool of himself!

’What in the world is going on?’

Wu Qihao narrowed his eyes, an instinctual feeling of unease washing over him.

Liu Zhenghai fixed them with a deathly stare and asked coldly:

"Are you planning to place the Fengshui Array into this rotten piece of wood? Wouldn’t that be a shame? Why not just use a Blinding Technique like you did just now to fool everyone? How about that?"

As soon as he spoke, the expressions on Wu Qihao and the adjacent Qi Wuqi changed drastically.

Their hearts hammered in their chests as they began to suspect that everyone already knew the truth!

But they couldn’t for the life of them figure out how these people had seen through their ruse.

’If they could see through it, they would have done so long ago. Why wait until now?’

Forcing himself to remain composed, Wu Qihao asked cautiously:

"Mr. Liu, what do you mean by that? I don’t understand!"

Qi Wuqi, next to him, also put on an innocent expression.

They looked so convincing that they almost fooled everyone. If the crowd hadn’t just heard their conversation, they might have actually believed the two were being wrongly accused.

Liu Zhenghai shot to his feet, his face full of murderous intent, and snorted coldly:

"We heard every word you said outside. I can’t believe you two are just a pair of con artists!"

Immediately, many people in the audience started to chime in, loudly denouncing them.

Hearing their voices, Wu Qihao couldn’t help but gasp, his expression becoming incredibly grim.

"Impossible, absolutely impossible! Mr. Liu, there must be some misunderstanding between us, right?"

Meanwhile, his mind was racing. ’How am I going to get out of here?’

Qi Wuqi’s expression was also incredibly grim as he realized they were in deep trouble.

’Damn it, what the hell is going on? How could they have seen through it...’

Qi Wuqi simply couldn’t wrap his head around it.

Suddenly, as if struck by a thought, he quickly reached into his pocket and pulled out the coin.

He then examined it carefully!

Upon closer inspection, Qi Wuqi finally noticed something unusual about the coin.

A faint fluctuation of energy, barely there, was only now becoming apparent. He had completely overlooked it before.

With this realization, Qi Wuqi stared at the distant Qin Tuo in utter disbelief and demanded:

"Young man, was it you who tampered with this coin?"

His voice was thick with fury.

He, the number one Magic Master of Bay Port, had been thoroughly outsmarted by a young man.

Faced with this accusation, Qin Tuo didn’t bother to deny it.

Besides, with the truth now revealed, Qin Tuo wasn’t worried about them trying to twist it any further.

Qin Tuo simply gave a casual nod and sneered:

"That’s right. Besides embedding a small Flame Array in the coin, I also added a Sound Amplification Array. So, yes, we heard your little chat outside loud and clear!"

At these words, the faces of Wu Qihao and Qi Wuqi on stage instantly turned sheet-white.

They now understood, with dreadful certainty, that they were in huge trouble.

Sure enough, everyone in the audience was glaring at them with murderous eyes.

If looks could kill, they would have died countless times over.

Qi Wuqi’s eyes widened in utter disbelief upon hearing Qin Tuo’s confirmation.

Qin Tuo had accomplished something so incredible, so unthinkable, that he couldn’t believe it was real.

Previously, Qin Tuo had created a small Array in an incredibly short amount of time. That alone had been enough to make Qi Wuqi consider him an unbelievable genius of the magical arts.

But he never, ever imagined the truth would be far more preposterous than he could have conceived!

Because that guy, Qin Tuo, had actually managed to create a second Array simultaneously.

’To create two Arrays at the same time, in such a short period, and have them completely escape my notice... How did he do it?’

A wave of understanding washed over the crowd as they listened to Qin Tuo’s explanation.

They finally understood—Qin Tuo was an expert in this field as well!

Thinking about how they had all mocked Qin Tuo before, many people’s faces now burned with shame, feeling as if they were clowns.

Master Ma, standing nearby, stared at Qin Tuo in utter shock, his expression growing extremely complex.

He finally understood. Qin Tuo truly was a hidden master. No wonder the Zhu Family treated him with such immense respect.

On stage, seeing the grim look on Master Qi Wuqi’s face, Wu Qihao knew that any further explanation would be useless.

Cold sweat beaded on his back as he desperately wracked his brain for a way out of this mess.

Suddenly, an expression of utter shame and fury washed over Qi Wuqi’s face.

He glared fiercely at Qin Tuo and said through gritted teeth:

"You damned brat! You dared to set me up!"

With that, he had thrown all pretense to the wind, effectively admitting that Qin Tuo’s words were true.

Yet, facing Qi Wuqi’s terrifyingly oppressive aura, Qin Tuo simply sneered and said:

"Those with a clear conscience don’t fear a ghost knocking at the door. You two really picked the wrong place to run a scam, trying your luck in the Capital City."

Hearing Qin Tuo’s casual, dismissive words, Wu Qihao broke out into another cold sweat.

The entire audience was now looking at them with cold sneers, clearly having no intention of letting them go.

The moment Qin Tuo finished speaking, Liu Zhenghai finally snapped.

SWISH!

He drew a slender Soft Sword from his waist and pointed it furiously at the two men on the stage.
