Chapter 452: The Spirit Stones Have Arrived

Qin Tuo nodded eagerly, genuinely curious about Chen Man Ni's cooking.

Then, Qin Tuo went to help carry the dishes to the table.

Seeing the several delicious-looking dishes on the table, Qin Tuo nodded in satisfaction and said,

"Manni, you've really improved. You could never make a feast like this before."

Hearing this, Chen Man Ni's face immediately beamed with pride as she said,

"Of course! My cooking has improved by leaps and bounds. If you don't believe me, just ask Feifei!"

Ouyang Feifei shot Chen Man Ni an exasperated look and said,

"Give me a break, Manni. What kind of improvement could your cooking possibly have?"

Seeing Ouyang Feifei so bluntly and mercilessly expose her, Chen Man Ni glared at her irritably.

Qin Tuo chuckled to himself and curiously picked up his chopsticks to have a taste.

He took a bite of the fish first, but after he ate it, his expression became incredibly strange.

"Qin Tuo, how is it? Say something! Why aren't you talking?"

Qin Tuo just kept his mouth shut, a smile playing on his lips but saying nothing.

Seeing Qin Tuo's reaction, Ouyang Feifei seemed to understand what was going on and started laughing knowingly.

Unconvinced, Chen Man Ni picked up a large piece of fish and popped it into her mouth.

"UGH, why is it so salty? How much salt did I use?"

Qin Tuo burst out laughing.

"Manni, did salt go on sale recently?"

But the three of them joked around while they ate, so the atmosphere was lively enough that they could ignore the actual taste of the food.

Halfway through the meal, Qin Tuo received a phone call.

He glanced at the screen; it was his cousin, Jiang Wanyu.

"Hello? Wanyu, what's up?"

Qin Tuo was curious. 'Isn't Jiang Wanyu supposed to be in class? Why is she calling me now?'

Jiang Wanyu hesitated on the other end of the line before saying with some difficulty,

"Cousin, could you help me with something?"

Qin Tuo immediately knew she was in some kind of trouble. He puffed out his chest and said,

"Don't worry, Wanyu, I'll help you. Just tell me what's wrong!"

Jiang Wanyu thought for a moment before saying,

"It's like this, cousin. My classmates and I want to go to Xue Qingqing's concert. We've been wanting to go for a long time."

Qin Tuo replied, a little curious,

"So go. What's the problem?"

Then, Jiang Wanyu explained her predicament.

"But Cousin, we couldn't get tickets. Can you help us get a few?"

'So that's what this is about,' Qin Tuo thought, finally understanding.

He thought, 'My relationship with Xue Qingqing is pretty good. Asking her for a few tickets shouldn't be a problem.'

So, Qin Tuo nodded and agreed.

"Okay, Wanyu. Don't worry, I'll get the tickets for you."

After getting Qin Tuo's confirmation, Jiang Wanyu was overjoyed.

"Okay, thanks, Cousin! I'm hanging up now!"

After he hung up, Chen Man Ni asked curiously,

"Qin Tuo, what was that about?"

So, Qin Tuo explained that his cousin, Jiang Wanyu, had asked him for concert tickets.

Ouyang Feifei frowned and said,

"Tickets to Xue Qingqing's concert are incredibly hard to get. I heard you can't even buy them from scalpers. You think you can get them?"

As she spoke, her face was filled with doubt. Clearly, she didn't believe Qin Tuo had that kind of pull.

Even though she knew Qin Tuo was powerful in his own right, Xue Qingqing was a famous celebrity. The two operated in completely different worlds.

Chen Man Ni was also skeptical. She couldn't figure out where Qin Tuo's confidence came from, to agree so readily to help Jiang Wanyu get tickets.

Qin Tuo just nodded and said,

"Don't worry. I can do it."

Seeing his confidence, the two women naturally believed him.

Ouyang Feifei couldn't help but say,

"In that case, you should get two for us, too! We want to see Xue Qingqing's concert as well! I hear it's going to be amazing and so much fun!"

Chen Man Ni's face also filled with anticipation; she wanted to experience the concert live.

Qin Tuo nodded right away and smiled.

"Don't worry. Since you two are asking, of course it's not a problem."

The two women were ecstatic, already looking forward to seeing the show.

Ouyang Feifei couldn't help but say, her face full of envy,

Seeing Qin Tuo's restless expression, Chen Man Ni teased.

Qin Tuo opened his mouth, then simply shook his head helplessly.

Just then, the doorbell rang. Qin Tuo let out a heavy sigh of relief, scrambling to his feet and heading for the door.

"I'll get the door!"

Qin Tuo said as he beat a hasty retreat, using the doorbell as an excuse.

When he opened the door, Qin Tuo was surprised to see Xue Qingqing standing there.

Xue Qingqing looked at Qin Tuo and smiled with the shy demeanor of a young girl.

Qin Tuo asked in surprise,

"Oh, Miss Xue, how did you find this place?"

As he was racking his brain for a reason, Xue Qingqing explained,

"Mr. Qin, it's been a while. I'm here to deliver the Spirit Stones on behalf of my father."

Qin Tuo nodded. So, Xue Qingqing was personally escorting the Spirit Stones for her family. No wonder she knew his exact address.

"Mr. Qin, look! These are the Spirit Stones you wanted!"

Xue Qingqing then pointed to a truck behind her.

Only then did Qin Tuo notice that the truck's cargo bed was filled to the brim with Spirit Stones of all shapes and sizes.

After a quick look, Qin Tuo was very satisfied. These were indeed the Spirit Stones from the mineral vein on Hongshan.
