Return of the Celestial King
Chapter 447: Massive Gains
After Yan Hongliang was killed, peace finally returned to the lakeside.
Afterward, Qin Tuo led the group to the main hall of the Blood Moon Pavilion’s headquarters.
Once Yan Hongliang died, the ordinary elders and disciples of the Blood Moon Pavilion quickly learned the news and came forward on their own initiative.
Seeing the four Elders standing in the hall, they grew anxious and hurried over, hoping the Elders could help remove the Gu Insects from their bodies.
Although Yan Hongliang was dead, the Gu Insects remained inside them, causing immense pain and suffering.
"Elders, please, save me! Get rid of this Gu Insect!"
"Yes, Elder! We’re still in deep suffering!"
These disciples of the Blood Moon Pavilion hadn’t committed any major evil; they had only done many things against their will under duress from Yan Hongliang.
The hall was now packed with a throng of Blood Moon Pavilion disciples, all of them begging the four Elders.
The four Elders could only smile wryly and look up at Qin Tuo, who was at the head of the hall.
Qin Tuo was now seated on Yan Hongliang’s throne, watching the scene, lost in thought.
At that moment, the Grand Elder stepped forward, bowed respectfully, and said:
"Mr. Qin, these people, like us, were all forced. They were controlled by Yan Hongliang with Gu Insects. You see..."
Qin Tuo nodded. He could naturally see that.
’If they were truly wicked people, their guilty consciences would have driven them to flee the mountain by now. Why would they have the courage to return?’
The other three Elders also came forward one by one, pleading.
"Mr. Qin, we beg you to relieve them of their suffering from the Gu Insects as well."
"Yes, Mr. Qin! Saving a life is more meritorious than building a seven-storied pagoda. Please, we implore you to save them from this sea of suffering!"
The four Elders looked at Qin Tuo with gazes full of earnest supplication.
After all, they didn’t want to see their fellow disciples of the Blood Moon Pavilion tortured to death by the Gu Insects.
Qin Tuo nodded and said,
"Since that’s the case, I might as well do a good deed."
Upon hearing Qin Tuo’s reply, the faces of the four Elders lit up with joy.
Down below, the disciples were so excited they were on the verge of going wild.
But treating them one by one would be too time-consuming.
So, Qin Tuo frowned and asked,
"How exactly did Yan Hongliang control your actions?"
The Grand Elder suddenly realized something and slapped his thigh.
"Oh, Mr. Qin, I almost forgot about that!"
He immediately ordered someone to run to Yan Hongliang’s residence and bring back the vessel that controlled everyone’s Gu Insects.
"Mr. Qin, please look. This is Yan Hongliang’s Gu Vessel. He never allowed anyone to touch it. It contains the Gu Insects for every single person in the Blood Moon Pavilion!"
It turned out that the Gu Insects in the Gu Vessel corresponded to the ones inside each person’s body.
Once a Gu Insect in the Gu Vessel died, the corresponding one inside the controlled person’s body wouldn’t survive for more than a day before dissolving into a pool of blood.
This would save Qin Tuo a great deal of effort.
Qin Tuo asked curiously,
"If that’s the case, why didn’t you try to destroy this vessel? Wouldn’t that have allowed you all to flee down the mountain?"
The Elders all gave a bitter smile and replied helplessly,
"Mr. Qin, you may not know this, but this vessel is incredibly hard. Even with our full strength, we couldn’t break it!"
It seems Yan Hongliang had anticipated this. He had the vessel for the Gu Insects specially crafted from an extremely durable, diamond-like material precisely to prevent it from being secretly destroyed.
Without another word, Qin Tuo took the vessel and examined it.
A sharp light flashed in his eyes, and he smashed his fist down on it right in front of everyone!
BOOM!
With a burst of aura, his formidable Spiritual Power, like a pair of invisible hands, instantly shattered the incomparably sturdy vessel.
All the Gu Insects inside were annihilated by the violent energy, utterly obliterated.
In an instant, all the disciples in the hall felt a huge weight lift off them, as if they had been completely reborn.
"Haha! This is great! I feel so much lighter all over!"
"Yeah, the Gu Insect isn’t moving anymore. Am I finally free?"
The disciples were all so happy they shed tears. Then, coming to their senses, they collectively knelt and kowtowed to Qin Tuo.
The four Elders also bowed deeply to Qin Tuo, their gratitude coming from the bottom of their hearts.
Seeing this, Sun Haicheng, who had been standing to the side with a grim expression, couldn’t help but walk over.
"Mr. Qin, may I have a word with you in private?"
Qin Tuo nodded, and the two of them moved to a nearby corner.
Sun Haicheng thought for a moment before finally speaking.
"Mr. Qin, our orders from above were to eradicate the Blood Moon Pavilion. Right now, only Yan Hongliang is dead. As for these demonic brats, you see..."
Qin Tuo naturally understood what Sun Haicheng meant. He wanted to complete the General Security Pavilion’s mission and wipe out everyone in the Blood Moon Pavilion.
But in Qin Tuo’s view, that was completely unnecessary.
The people here weren’t unpardonably evil; they had simply been coerced by Yan Hongliang.
Thinking of this, Qin Tuo patted his chest and said,
"You don’t need to worry about this. When you go back, you can still report that the mission was a success. Just say that the Blood Moon Pavilion has been eliminated."
Since Qin Tuo had put it that way, Sun Haicheng couldn’t insist.
So he could only nod in agreement, though he sighed faintly to himself.
After Qin Tuo helped everyone in the Blood Moon Pavilion get rid of their Gu Insects, most of the disciples chose to leave the mountain and return to the secular world to live as ordinary people.
Qin Tuo, however, once again summoned the four Elders to ask them a few things.
"Elders, where does the Blood Moon Pavilion keep its treasures?" Qin Tuo asked slowly.
Hearing Qin Tuo’s question, the four Elders understood his meaning.
The Grand Elder stepped forward and said,
"Mr. Qin, all the treasures are kept in the treasury. We will open it now and gather all the Spirit Pills and miraculous medicines for you."
Qin Tuo smiled with satisfaction. He had indeed set his sights on all the Spirit Pills and miraculous medicines within the Blood Moon Pavilion.
Moreover, Qin Tuo knew that given Yan Hongliang’s collection, the treasures would not disappoint him.
"Very good. Gather everything as quickly as you can and bring it to me. I have other matters to attend to and can’t delay for too long," Qin Tuo instructed.
The four Elders nodded and complied, quickly gathering all of the Blood Moon Pavilion’s precious collections and delivering them into Qin Tuo’s hands.
After this matter was settled, Qin Tuo led his people down the mountain and departed without delay.
