Chapter 1151: Chapter 1123: Master Brother with Peerless Beauty

Couples come together because of love, but for a relationship to last a lifetime, love alone isn’t enough. As for what’s needed, Yu Minglang feels it’s exactly what she’s giving him now, though he can’t quite put it into words.

"Leave it to me. I’ll definitely bring back your old charm. Even if you don’t get the chance to touch a gun in the future, I’ll make sure your years of youthful memories aren’t wasted."

Qian looked at him earnestly, "Even if you’re angry at me for hiding things from you and want to settle scores later, I’m here at your disposal. But you must accept my treatment."

Yu Minglang reached out to gently touch her face, his soft gaze lighting up the entire darkness, no words needed. Qian smiled.

Her Erha was back strong again.

May both of them grow through the years with ease, without the pain of forced growth. What she couldn’t achieve in her past life, she finally accomplished in this one.

"I’ll let you handle the treatment, but before that, you need to give me one day."

"For what?" she asked, puzzled.

"Take a guess."

All he wanted right now was to have her. He could miss out on any scenery in the world, but she was something he couldn’t afford to miss.

Qian’s face turned red, not because she was naive, but because she understood too well...

She held his hand, and the two drove forward, brimming with love, heading towards home.

Arriving at the doorway, Yu Minglang immediately noticed a car parked nearby. He turned his head to speak to Qian.

"Darling, look at that. Who’s being so silly, drawing such an ugly picture on a car and daring to take it out?"

"Yeah, this turtle drawing is really uglier than anything. What a shame for this Mercedes—wait a second, why does the license plate look so familiar?"

It’s so typical to see this show-off license plate with lots of eights; who else would it be but Zheng Xu?

Yu Minglang enjoyed the act of stepping on former rival’s territory, and as soon as he braked, Zheng Xu saw him coming down and got out of the car with Aka, one after another.

Yu Minglang didn’t greet Zheng Xu but circled around his car, nodding deeply.

"Great, great, really impressive." Yu Minglang said "great" three times, causing Zheng Xu’s temple vein to twitch as he bypassed him and looked straight at Yu Minglang’s car, where Qian stepped out.

"Nothing good comes out of your mouth," Zheng Xu could figure out with a toe that Yu Minglang wasn’t saying anything nice.

"Why are you so narrow-minded? I’m praising your car, yet you have opinions? What I mean is, your car suits you perfectly. Just like the saying goes, a pot is paired with its lid, a head with its hat. You, Zheng Xu, driving a tortoise car with a special colored hat—it’s simply a match made in heaven."

Yu Minglang’s words nearly exhausted Zheng Xu’s patience, who clenched his fists, thinking it was time to fight this boastful Yu Laomao.

Aka, however, ignored the tension between Zheng Xu and Yu Minglang, bypassing the two men who were like fighting roosters, heading straight to Qian, "Qian! Are you okay?"

"What could possibly happen to me, thank you for worrying." Qian patted Aka, perhaps because she was in a good mood, making Aka feel especially appreciated by Qian, with a slight sense of being part of her inner circle.

"Good to hear you’re alright. I almost got scared to death when I received a call from the teacher, worried something might happen to you."

"It’s all resolved—by the way, what’s with your hair? A new trend this year?" Qian pointed at Aka’s hair tips, the dried red paint suggesting that part of her hair might be unsalvageable.

Aka glanced at Zheng Xu, who also looked at Aka. Their eyes no longer held the previous animosity.

The journey here had them both busy rushing over to save Qian, and all their hearts were focused on one thing, making their past grudges seem trivial.

Their rivalry started because of Qian, and it was settled because of her. As Qian stood there now, both Zheng Xu and Aka felt that indescribable magical feeling in their hearts.

"My feeling now is kind of like, you know, when you’re desperate to find a restroom after holding it in for so long, and finally you do, it’s simply the best feeling ever." Aka expressed her sensation.

Zheng Xu’s mouth twitched again, thinking that spending too much time with this yellow-haired person might cause him to develop facial nerve disorder.

"But Qian, although you’re temporarily safe now, my boss ordered me to protect you at all times. He didn’t clearly state what the danger is, but I figured with me alone, I might not be enough to protect you, so I called in some backup!"

Aka devotedly remembered the boss’s mission: protect Qian!

"Backup? Are you teasing me?" It was Yu Minglang’s turn to twitch.

How incompetent would he have to be for his wife to encounter danger on his territory?

She’s married to a legendary figure, yet this yellow-haired person says she needs external backup for protection?

Aka didn’t notice Yu Minglang’s displeasure; she continued speaking to herself.

"Yeah, the backup I called is really impressive. He should be arriving soon. Usually, it’s impossible to afford him, but once I mentioned the boss, he had no choice but to come! By now, he should be almost here..."

"Boss? Who did you call?" Yu Minglang and Qian shared a glance, wondering about the coincidence.

"My senior Nong Yao, I arranged to meet him here. He should be arriving soon—oh, here he is!"

Aka immediately noticed the approaching taxi, spotting the stunning face through the open window—it was none other than her senior brother.

Nong Yao was visiting here for the first time. Having been born abroad, he spoke fluent Mandarin under Mr. Qio’s instruction but wasn’t proficient with Chinese characters.

Approaching the designated place, things seemed unusual to him.

He couldn’t understand the plaque at the family complex but quickly noticed the straight-standing guard at the gate.

Thinking to himself, "Has security here become so advanced?" He wanted to say a few words to the taxi driver, but immediately spotted Aka’s striking golden hair among a sea of black hair.

Upon hearing Aka mention her senior brother’s name, Yu Minglang and Qian exchanged a glance, both displaying a sly smile.

"Mr. Qio merely mentioned his disciple might come; he didn’t say what he would do to me. If we’re too ’proactive,’ wouldn’t it be inappropriate?"

Qian asked tactfully, noticing Yu Minglang warming up his wrists.

"Hmm, it wouldn’t be too appropriate." Yu Minglang replied, but he didn’t stop his warm-up exercises.

So Nong Yao’s arrival, despite Mr. Qio’s subtle caution to Qian, ended up being utilized by her once more, and now he’s come over—tsk-tsk.
