"Well let me teach you a little lesson." Zach said to him and he watched as he leaned back in his seat and he clasped his hands in front of him.

"Well go ahead then. I am sure this will be hilarious." He said to Zach with a chuckle.

"Her name is Brittany and she is not the princess. She may be a made but she is much more than that or her body. She is a human being with a soul and a heart and feelings she is more than whatever you make her out to be. She is loyal and has a kind heart which is something that is hard to come by these days and you should be grateful that she isn’t the princess. Because if it was the princess ghat was here instead of her, you would have received a hard slap across your cheek the moment you started talking about her. so how about instead of talking down on her as though she is some kind of object you actually try to treat her like human being and you treat her with respect." He said to him harshly.

Brittany who was stood in the corner looked at the interaction. In shock. She was surprised that Zach had stood up for her.

She hadn’t expected for him to care that this man was throwing advances her way.

She knew that he needed to form this alliance with him and she had known that the money was tight. Him selling her to the man would have solved all of his problems.

And yet he had decided to protect her instead. She had never experienced something like that before and she had never thought that there was someone that would be willing to do that for her.

She had thought that he would have handed her over easily but she was pleasantly surprised.

She knew that if he were to hand her over that she wouldn’t protest. she would do anything that she could to help the smiths in any way that she could.

She knew that she was indebted to them and they were the ones that had helped her out when she needed them the mopst.in a way she owed them and she would have done anything in order to please them.

She was no stranger to being asked to do things that she wasn’t welcome to and from the way that the commander had been staring at her she felt as though he didn’t have the best intentions for her. She worried to know about what it was that he had planned for her.

"Come on how about you come out and tell me the truth and reveal the real reason why you don’t want to give her over to me." Ronaldo said to him with a smirk.

It was clear that he wasn’t fazed or taken by Zach’s words. It was clear that he didn’t care much about her status and all that mattered to him was her body and him being allowed to use it in any way that he pleased.

"What do you mean." Zach said to him in gritted teeth. He didn’t know why he was still entertaining him but he knew that he couldn’t lash out and he would have to think through it properly rather than lashing out on him.

"Well you put on this righteous act. Like you are a man of the people and you are always putting the people first. But I know that it is nothing more than a ruse. I am not a stranger to men like you and I know that you truly are." He said to him.

Zach quirked an eyebrow at him. "And what is that? What do you think I am." he asked him in a low and deathly tone.

"well what I know you are is a petty viscount. You are a liar and you like to pretend as though you are better that the rest of us. That you are here to save the people and you are run by the path of the righteous but we both know that isn’t true." He said to him.

Zach was silent as he tried to think of how to respond to him. He knew that it didn’t matter what he said as the man already had his mind made and he had managed to paint his own picture of him in his mind.

Her couldn’t deny the fact that he did find it annoying but he wanted to know just how far his opinion of him went and what he really did think of him.

"Come on you know that it is true. You say now that she is more than just her body but you have already had a taste haven’t you and the real reason that you don’t want to let her go is because you have grown addicted to her taste. You are possessive man and don’t get me wrong I am possessive as well of the things that are mine. And that is why you don’t want to let her go but that isn’t fair." Ronaldo said to him.

Zach crossed his arms over his chest as he said, "and how is it wrong." He asked.

"Well you have to think about the rest of us. You are here depriving us of the opportunity to also be able to get a taste of her. A treasure like that isn’t something that you are supposed to keep to yourself. It is something that you have to share with others. A girl like that only comes once in a while and I mean you want me to put myself and the rest of my men on the line in order to protect you. We could be doing other things but I turned it down because I wanted to help you. That is a favor and a debt. And usually how debts work is that I am expecting payment." Ronaldo said as he rubbed his thumb and forefinger together.

"and that was why I offered to pay you. I would pay you any amount because I know that you work isn’t to be taken lightly. So why are you bringing up something very different. And in the lady’s presence no doubt. Do you not have any shame about any of this." Zach said to him in a hissing tone,

He watched as he shrugged his shoulders at him in response but didn’t say anything. He didn’t seem the least beat apologetic about what had happened.

"Well I know that you are trying to play the part of the noble knight but how about we forget about that. Just stop being selfish and let me have a taste. That is all that I ask her and then after that I can leave you alone and I won’t bother you about it again." Ronaldo said to him.

Zach only shook his head as he let out tsk sound. He turned his attention towards Brittany as he pulled her to her feet before leading her out of the room.

he didn’t bother to say anything else to the others as the last thing that he wanted was to hear any more of the callous words that were bound to come out of Ronaldo’s mouth.

he couldn’t believe that he had had no shame and he had been able to say the words to him so casually. He thought that Zach was using her when it was far from it.

Zach couldn’t help but feel guilty as though it was his fault.

He felt as though if he hadn’t brought Brittany along with him that none of this would have happened as she wouldn’t have been harassed and he wouldn’t have thrown such words at her.

Zach turned his attention towards Brittany who had her head cast down and didn’t say anything. Brittany couldn’t help but feel upset as she felt as though she was the reason why everything was going wrong.

She had been the one who had caused all of the mess and she was the one that had left Ronaldo to turn his attention away from making the deal and also to make Zach angry enough that he was able to pull away from the deal.

Andy couldn’t help but feel slightly puzzled by the reaction that had come from Zach and he couldn’t help but notice the hard look on his face. He knew that it couldn’t have meant anything good and he knew that Zach was only seconds away from lashing out. He had to diffuse the situation before things got any worse.

Andy watched as Zach left the room and he stiffened in his seat. He couldn’t believe that Zach had been willing to talk to Ronaldo in such a way.

Ronaldo was a very high up government official and he would not be happy being walked out on.

He was a very high up commander within the army and he was feared because he didn’t allow those that dared to mess with him to get away with it Scott free.

He felt as though Zach was stupid and risky for walling out on him and he couldn’t help but fear how the commander would feel or react about it.

Although he himself didn’t appreciate the way that he had spoken to Brittany but he wouldn’t have gone as far as to react in such a way.

It was a chance for them to be able to get the help of the army without having to pay for the services and they would be able to save themselves from going into bankruptcy.
